    I consider myself at least an intermediate player. I can smash quite powerfully, able to generate strong power from my forehand and backhand drop.
    One thing I've been struggling always is to generate consistent good backhand clear power to the baseline of opponents. Because I always play backhand under pressure .
    But, this video is great. I think I can grasp better the idea of generating power from backhand from your suggestion.
    Thus is similar concept to one of your videos of generating power from smash. Thanks for the advise!

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have a very eyes and memories. Yes it is same as the forehand I mentioned.
      The logic is same. I am very surprised to know that there is someone like to to be able to spot it. Lee

    • @ChyeHeng17
      @ChyeHeng17 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Coaching Badminton I tried, and I really like your suggestion of practising the 'timing'.
      This is just a start to get the 'feel' of hitting it with the right timing and supination.
      Once we get the feel, we can make the backhand clear, not that obvious and easily read by opponents.
      This really reminds me again, from your video about adding power to forehand smash. As I kept going back to bad habit.
      Time to discipline! Thanks Coach Lee.

    i really recommend to first learn hitting and then the wave.
    I tried long ago the wave technique, but happened the same that your players Lee, i ¿misshit? the shuttle and caused myself a minor injury i still have.
    Nowdays i control this skill but if i have bad luck and miss-hit, the injury comes back along with the pain; In fact this happened to me yesterday again
    So make yourself a favour and go easy with this, your elbow Will thanks over the years

      @coachingbadminton  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are most welcome. Do you mean backhand clear? or forehand clear or drive (flat) shots from rear court to rear court?
      Would you please explain more in detail?

    • @jn5534
      @jn5534 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Coaching Badminton Sorry, allow me to clarify, as an amateur haha. It is the forehand drive from rear court to rear court when you straddle sideways with your dominant foot and sort of lunge to the side while facing forward while executing the shot.

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I understand you now. It is side forehand drive.
      I am planning to do it in detail clips soon. I am aiming to do it in June.

    Hello sir
    I'm beginner for badminton. And I have learnt a lot from your videos. Now I've questions for my racket. What tension should I do for my racket.??

    • @coachingbadminton-korean9409
      @coachingbadminton-korean9409 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is depending on your racket and level you play.
      There are rackets which take high tension and some can not take high tension.
      If you please competitively then you mayu use higher tension otherwise normal tention is fine.
      It is difficult me to say number of tension as each string machine is different. I am using my string machine and using about 24 tension. Lee

      It is difficult for me to say. I am against the way to stretch elbow 100% in backhand shots.

      When you learn a new skill, it takes some time to practice.
      You said that you are doing well with the skill you learn from your coach.
      If you are happy with it and you can do well in a match then no need to change it unless you feel the one you already have does not
      allow you to well. Lee

    My backhand clears usually go from my baseline to somewhere between the drop line and the baseline of the other end. How can I hit it to the baseline of the other court? Also, how to hit a backhand smash? I have been playing since a long time, but no coach. Also, thank you for this video. It's good!
    One more request - My forehand smashes are okay, but I want to hit at more than 350 km?/h. Can you please help me?
