Lorty true maybe he didn't have the money. I am not the kind of person to jump to conclusions, so that is why I asked.
Mike schwartz STI gets worse fuel economy, has an older engine, came from the factory with the cop magnet wing (evidently Dustin here didn't care about that and put his own wing on), has a slower spooling turbo etc. these are all reasons why someone would go with the wrx instead of the STI.

It sounds insane . But hear me out . Build your BRZ or complete your wrx if you haven’t already . Then donate one of them to a larger Corp for show in trade for support for a new build at zero cost or minimal . Think of it as an investment . Or don’t trade but as you said make your wrx a stance car and make that car famous. Collect your dough and top TJ lol . GTR and WRX build is better then BRZ . Buy a better lambo and build it from stock and TJ is now in your dust . 🤙🏽 good luck bro .
