    Nice video. Lots of good info. I have the exact same bike, trying to do the gauge swap, but I can't find the digital gauges anywhere. Yours is from ST or Fat Bob? And do you mind if I ask where you source it from?
    Thanks

      it was a rinehart 2:1 it sounded amazing but my ears couldn't handle it. I was getting really bad tinnitus it lasted over a month ringing and I couldn't ride so I swapped it for this one which is around 25% quieter. I still wear ear plugs but its fine with this one.

    Good luck with the windshield. I’ve literally tried probably 5 different ones. I settled on 13” vented. It’s not great, but I learned to live with it. I do wear a full faced helmet. The short ones worked the best 7 or 9” I did not like the look though.
    The race only logo is hideous and the S&S logo as well ! I had mine cerekoted. In the end I dumped it for a Thunderheader. No logo’s needed on those. They speak for themselves 😂

      yeah if I knew this before hand I would have just kept the original. im up to 15 inch and I have ordered the 17. im happy now but only with a full face. I like having an open helmet in nice weather but won't happen much now.

    I like the original smooth seat. Not a fan of the threads and tufting of the aftermarket ones. And why get rid of the round gauge? So much more informative.

    • @BDU247

      I like this seat as I am 6 foot. And it holds you in better under high acceleration. And when I purchased the motorbike I kept the original gauge but once I installed pullback risers I couldn’t see the gauge, due to the angle. I purchased this bike when they first came out and there was nothing available aftermarket too rectify this.
      And of course a few weeks after I changed the gauge it everybody brought out adapters to suit the original Speedo I like the slimline look of the current set up that I am running. I wouldnt Bother to change it now.

    How’d you get that dash on it?

    • @BDU247
      @BDU247  ปีที่แล้ว

      its a standard Harley dash. they have it on a few different bikes. was $500 and the new thrashin riser has the option of that style top clamp. when I ordered the risers there was no option for after market brackets for the standard gauge with a pull back. I tried it on my first set and I couldn't see it, its on my other episode if you want to have a look, now there is heap of options so you can go either way. I personally like both.

    I put the 13” vented on mine at 5’11” tall, and it’s working great for me. The wind hits me right in the face but I like that. I just want to keep it off my chest. I have those bags too but added the new saddle bag mounts by thrashin that eliminates the strap going across the fender and puts the bags nice and solid and upright. I love them. I’m doing risers next but just been procrastinating. I would love to go stage two but wife isn’t keen on the idea.
    Beautiful bike! Be safe out there!

    • @damo2664
      @damo2664 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate. I have purchased the 15inch. I’ve not opened the box yet I’ll get to it one night this week. I’ve never had a fairing before personally I love the wind in my face to but I need to stop the buffeting it’s horrible on a bigger ride. And I can only wear a full face helmet. I have seen the bag brackets they are so hard to get in Australia I’ve tried a few times. As soon as they are available I’ll jump on them. Personally I love the stage 2 it gives it that classic Harley sound. Though I wish I had the bike standard for a few rides so I could feel the difference. Ride safe mate 👍🙏🏻🇦🇺

    Great work mate! The dealership needs a kick in the ass for messing you around though. I had a flush mount fuel cap on mine which looked sweet.

      cheers mate. im not upset these things happen. as long as it all gets fixed im happy and they have ordered a shorter brake line and the bag cover is on the way 😁 so as long as the paint will polish up im happy, and they seemed confident it will. haha dont give me more ideas. ill end up getting one I do like the look.

    Hi maté awesome bike, I like all the new mods you’ve made, I have a low Rider s as well & want to
    put risers & forward controls as well, can I ask how much
    to put on the new Risers & also the new forward controls.cheers 😊

    • @damo2664
      @damo2664 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate. The forward controls were around $1000 I personally couldn’t handle the mids, just to tall for them. And the risers are around $1500 fitted with all new cables. And then the new gauges were around $600. If you saw my last video the standard doesn’t work with the pull back. You can’t see it properly. But thrashin has a bracket now for the standard gauges which is pretty cool and a cheaper way to go. They didn’t have it out when I ordered everything.

    • @damo2664
      @damo2664 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also if your happy with a little shorter I believe 6inch and under you can just get away with standard cabling. Look into it 👍👍
