Just got my sand pearl white fxlrst... traded in my (what I thought was the best-looking bike HD ever made) 2019 Road King Special. That all changes when they dropped the lowrider st last year. Then my sales rep at CTXHD told me they were coming in white for the 23 year model. That completely changed my mind on what the best looking bike ever made was! Yeah... I said it... ever made. Harley or not. By far the best Harley I've owned... sportster, dyna, touring. Complete game changer.
I just recently bought a Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. While the bike in of itself is a great bike, it has just proven to be too tall for me, and hard to handle once off the bike due to the higher center of gravity due to the height. I noticed a sand pearl white FXLRST was in stock at my local HD dealer so I went to scope it out since I've been eyeballing this bike since it came out. I figured that this would be the bike I got if I ever got a Harley. I was able to set eyes on the bike, sit on it, and take it for a test ride. I fell in love right away. I can certainly tell you that once I pay off this Triumph a bit so I can trade it in, I'm getting myself one of these bad boys. I just can't stop thinking about it since my test ride. It is a wonderful machine.
Currently on an iron 1200 but after taking one of these for a test ride at my local dealership I can’t get it out of my head. It is one hell of a bike and I’m bound and determined to own one in the next year or two
I made the same mistake of test riding the ST, and ended up trading in my Iron 883. Do it! It’s worth every dollar, I’ve enjoyed riding and owning it so much more than the sportster
And that they do, they play a lot of games no matter which one you go to. They try and squeeze every single penny out of you and that’s only if you just say yes to whatever they say. You have to be firm with what you’re willing to pay and as long as it’s reasonable they’ll try and act like it’s impossible for them to do but if you stick to your guns you can get yourself a “good deal”
I just bought this bike last week. Waiting on my new seat and passenger accessories for my wife. Popped some tab slip ons with the zombie baffles. She is loud. It came with the speakers (which I wasn't really interested in) and now I won't be able to really hear them. Had to snatch it up, cuz I know they'll be hard to come by. It's a tease at the moment sitting in the garage. It's not riding season here in the gettysburg PA region. Thanks for the video

I have this bike , same color and I’m happy with it, this video is accurate, one of the best purchases I’ve made, if you purchase one you will enjoy it.power to weight ratio is great.
Love the 2022 Lowrider ST and S but went for the S since all my riding is local. I agree, it's the best Harley I've owned. Plenty of power, best suspension on any stock bike I've owned and handles wonderfully. As you mentioned I'm also going to change out the bars for ones that bring the grips closer. At 5'6" I can easily flat foot the bike, the air filter is far enough away that I'm not banging my knee against it and mid controls will probably be comfortable for anyone 6' or less. Cruise control, standard on th ST but I added to my S model, will be a must on any future bike I own. It takes some of the stress of my shoulders and allows a periodic ability to flex the right arm on longer rides.
I traded my 2019 Iron 883 for a 2022 gunship grey S and I love it. I almost went with the ST because it looked amazing, but I ultimately wanted to do my own fairing and bags (even though the asymmetrical bags don't bug me, but I get why it bothers other people). A very fun bike to rip around on and a huge leap from an 883. Anyone on the fence, I say do it!
Slod my Fat bob for this beautiful bike. The Fat bob is a great bike and I will always love it, but this is one amazing ride and so versatile and comfortable!
Good question. I'd imagine they probably require you move all of your hardware over from the old bags. Locks, mounting hardware etc would just drive up the cost for them and you.
I picked my FXLRST in pearl 2vweeks ago. I have already made about $1800 in mods! I also own a 2016 RDKG and a 2021 Pan America. 3 different bikes! I'm 6'3" and 3 different ride types. As far as handling it's a toss up between the Pan Am and the Lowrider. But I find myself riding the lowrider almost every day. It's insane!🏍😁👍✌️
Hi :) I'm also 6'3" so I would like to know if you had to do some modifications in order for the bike to fit you properly? Is it comfortable for your body frame on the longer rides?
@Sanjin Uravić I installed bilit forward controls with mini floorboards, a mustache engine gaurd that HD says will not work. I switched out the fancy intake (sticks out from the heads 8") to a screaming eagle ventilator ( it's only 2.5"), I added a kraus pullback plate to raise the stock risers 2" and back 2". If search for FXLRST groups you can join a rather large one (over 6 thousand members) that you can quiz others about what they have done (including photos) and get ideas and what can be done. My handlebar change made a big difference in the way is sit and did not require cable length changes. There are also TH-cam subs that have made vids on how to do these changes. Check out Holy Shift he's done quite a few good luck!
I almost got one but my local dealer had a absolute screaming deal on a fxlrs that was just to good to pass up. Guess when the time comes I'll trade it for a road glide st
I can see your reasoning for loving this bike. I'm almost on the same level when it comes to having one. Possibly within 2 years myself. I'll be at the 120th. Would love to say hi while I'm up there
I want one of these in the exact same color. I was thinking of changing the bags to the leather wrapped viking bags since I'm honestly not a huge fan of the clamshell saddle bags.
Does that huge air intake get in the way of your leg? Looks like it would, especially since I would like to put some forward controls on it eventually.
Your size - stick with the Road Glide. I'm only 5'9" / 160, and if I was much bigger, I'd be unhappy with my ST. I sold my '17 Ultra to buy the ST last spring, and by last fall, I ended up buying another touring bike ('20 Street Glide) for long distances / comfort. Still have the ST, on the fence about selling it. Much more fun for shorter rides but after a few hours, it feels cramped to me. Need highway pegs or something, those mids are a little high for me for several hundred miles at a time. Depends on your intended use I guess, couple hours - can't beat the ST, period. I cramp up at around 300 miles on it though with the stock pegs & no highway pegs.
Hi, thanks for a very good review, in regards to the ST VIN lock, if I find an ST owner can I have this person purchase the ST fairing so that I can install it on my 2022 LRS? Any comments on the ST wind buffeting so far
I don't see why that wouldn't work. I have no buffeting issues with that fairing. I'm also not as picky as some other riders I know. I'd say go test ride one if you can.
Thanks for ur reply, I know the LRST & LRS frame r identical & on my LRS the holes for the LRST frame r already pre-drill but u can’t buy the fairing but u can buy the saddlebags 😅
It's not VIN locked some dealers will let you buy the ST fairing and the hardware my local HD dealer has sold fairings and the hardware to three different people one had a 2020 lowrider S and the other two had 2022 lowrider S
@@jonklose442 Hi Jon thanks for letting me know I have visited 3 dealers here in So California & they all said no can do but I continue to ask each dealer I come across, where’s the dealer where ur friends purchase the fairing at

Great video man. I'm currently on a Honda Rebel 1100, but definitely have an ST in my future! I want to see this color in person. It looks good on camera!
This is literally the only bike I'd trade in my 2011 dyna street bob for, problem is I'd get basically nothing for it even though it has the 110 tire shredder kit....sigh 😑
If I didn't already have a Lowrider S and a Heritage Classic, I would be in the market for one of these. But I'm planning to add a batwing fairing to my Heritage and call it a Touring bike.
Circumstances last year led to me having a 2022 low rider S and ST, getting rid of one and it’s a really hard choice lol, prob gonna keep the S and make it more customized to my look, but I was glad to I got to at least put miles on the ST too, realistically the only trip I’ll probably do in a few months is follow my family down to the beach house we have it’s 3hrs away so it’s not bad, I want to tour eventually but don’t see that really happening for a while The ST was amazing but for the riding I’m mainly doing the low rider s weighing 20-30lbs less is nice
Thanks mate. Liked and subscribed:). Does it corner better than the Lowrider S? I heard that the forks are elevated. Thinking about buying a second bike in a year or so and this, the non st version and the Fat Bob are on the shortlist
Hey brother, Quick question How does it handle on the highway. I have a 2021 Road King, and it's great on the highway, but for the city rides, it is like riding a pig. I'm 5 8 200lb wife 5 2 120, and I'm just looking at the HD low rider st . I'm loving it. But for small road trips with a passenger, how would this handle on the highway? Oh, and by the way. We live in Milwaukee, so absolutely are going to be at the 120. I hope to see u there.
I rode this thing up and down the coast of CA and it was perfect. Big enough to be comfortable and still small enough to be nimble. I'd hit your local dealership and have them let you test ride one. I will be there for sure. If you see me be sure to say hello.
I’ve put deposit for this bike 4 months ago, will be getting it as early as March 2023.but somehow had a second thought on whether to sell my old 2009 clubstyle low rider for this ST..suddenly on the fence..😢
Sat on the S and ST today. I see so many videos of folks going crazy for the ST, but not the S. Why is that? Isn't it the same bike minus the bags and fairing? Thanks
@David Leischner Phenominal wind protection with that ST faring, more than a bat wing in my opinion (own both). Makes it a true touring capable bike, and a lot more comfortable for even short rides. Built in bluetooth sound system (accessory). The hard bags hold less than the touring bags but still hold a lot, and remove with no trace of them when they're off. Bikes are a whole lot more useful with decent bags on them, wether you're going down to the store & back to pick up a few things or going to Sturgis. Those two little details totally transform a bike and put it into a completely different category of usefulness, even when compared to the identical bike under the surface. So many love the idea of a big, comfortable touring bike but could never get past the 900+ lbs. The ST accomplishes the same thing 95% as well without being nearly as ungainly as the touring bikes can be. Fun factor is considerably higher than the touring bikes. The S is just another version of a naked bike; not a bad version, but that ST faring is very nicely designed. Personally I still don't think I like the looks but it's functionality (light weight & exceptional wind deflection, even on your legs) makes up for it. And yes, you can add windshields & bags to a standard bike, but this is a whole, stremlined, factory package you don't have to cobble together, and there are very few add-on bags or windshields that will make a standard bike work as good as the ST does right out of the box.
That Atari display from the 60s look ridiculous for a $23K bike. Does it come with a magnifying glass so you can read what's on the display? You're talkin about LED turn signals? $25K Street Glide 107 comes with halogen head lights and no LED. I thought the German guy would bring a little more common sense tech to the bikes, but my bad!
I like that the hands stay in the wind. I'd rather wear gloves in the cold than burn up in the heat. There is nothing better about inverted forks on street bikes. They provide a little less unsprung weight and fork flex on race bikes, but I can beat my Road Kings floorboards to death in corners and the conventional forks work just fine. I'm sure the fancy stuff they put on the King of Bagger bikes works great on a track, but it'd be overkill on the street with weight/speed/cornering limitations of HDs. It does make the bike look sportier though. Maybe add a tad more confidence in 70+ mph sweepers, but then you're risking your neck with tires made for longevity, not corner speed. I've owned many of both types forks on bikes that go around corners much faster than HDs and I couldn't tell you the difference on the street. That said, the new Showa bending valve dampers have made new HDs FAR superior to old ones. The old ones felt like riding in a 70s Buick. Like being on a cloud with no feeling of connection to the road. I suspect the newer springs are stiffer than the old ones too. They feel like a much newer Buick to me now. Bike looks good, but the ergos are ass. It needs a seat like the Fat Bob. The scooped out seat and high mid-pegs make me feel like I've fallen in a toilet with the lid up whenever I've been on one. I like the tan white color with the rusty trim. Needs more trim definition of the engine though. I love the simple cockpit. So tired of seeing bikes with big screen TVs strapped on the dash. What the hell am I doing, riding a motorcycle or playing Angry Birds? Price is a bit insane for a bike you can't even take a passenger on, but I'm sure HD will still sell a ton of them. Hell, maybe even to me. Your ride did look like fun.
I loved my 2018 Sportglide, but being a shorter person, the forward controls would give me a sore right knee on longer rides. I think this bike would be the solution to that problem.
I went to purchase the ST, fell in love with it having owned an original 86. Somehow I ended up buying a Polaris Challenger. Sometimes life throws you a curve.
I really love the Low Rider ST and at the same time hate HD for the details case in point being the bags. So you buy the bike and fair enough you do the normal Harley tax, of doing a Stage one and fitting a new exhaust (probably a 2-1 as that is what suits her the most), and that is when the asymmetric bags start to look lame. Result 1k for exhaust/tuning and another 2k to fix the bags. It starts to become stupid in $$$$, when they really could have fitted a 2-1 as it was in the Sport Glide. That is excluding some other cosmetic bits....
Shoutout to shadetree surgeon. Without him, the idea of a dealership collab with Harley Davidson to build a bike doesn't exist. There can be only one. Or, however many. Idgaf
Great channel and you have a new subscriber. Question...I turn 62 next month and have nor ridden a bike since selling my Harley Street Glide 15 year ago which we know is a heavy bike. Because of my age I am a tad weaker and when I saw this bike I was this wow....this is my next ride. I live in Austin TX and want a bike thats fun for cruising around thew city and also spending hours in the Texas Hill Country. I only ride solo and am not a cross country type of rider. Does thisa seem like the perfect bike for an old fuckker like me because I truly think the 100 lb difference between this and Street Glide will make this a much more fun ride. I do NOT like doing 100 MPH on a bike but LOVE going from 0-60 as quickly as possible. So plan on doing a stage two, change the seat and possibly add the thrasher pull back risers everyone seems to dig. I am 5'7" so hopefully this windscreen does not need to be replaced with a larger one. I do love music but not sure if you can hear the Fosgate once you change the pipes and wear a full face helmet. Just looking to hear from some other folks who were considering a SG or RG and bought the Low Rider ST instead and have zero regrets. Thanks everyone. . And thank you Throttle Blip for a great channel. Safe travels my friends🙏

Have you seen that the 2023 will get TCS optionally? Do you know if we can retrofit it to our 2022 Low Rider ST and S?
If I didn't already have a Lowrider S and a Heritage Classic, I would be in the market for one of these. But I'm planning to add a batwing fairing to my Heritage and call it a Touring bike.
Great Review 😊
Just put a deposit down on white ST. Can’t wait until it comes in. I ordered Thrashin’ bars and risers as well.
Great review. Glad I found out about you. 👍
Circumstances last year led to me having a 2022 low rider S and ST, getting rid of one and it’s a really hard choice lol, prob gonna keep the S and make it more customized to my look, but I was glad to I got to at least put miles on the ST too, realistically the only trip I’ll probably do in a few months is follow my family down to the beach house we have it’s 3hrs away so it’s not bad, I want to tour eventually but don’t see that really happening for a while
The ST was amazing but for the riding I’m mainly doing the low rider s weighing 20-30lbs less is nice
One of those would look mighty nice in my garage!
Thank you for the review.
Thanks mate. Liked and subscribed:).
Does it corner better than the Lowrider S? I heard that the forks are elevated. Thinking about buying a second bike in a year or so and this, the non st version and the Fat Bob are on the shortlist
How tall are you? I am 6”3 and trying to find the best options to not feel cramped. What is your opinion if you want to share. Thanks
Hey how well do you think the st would be suited for a person thats 5 foot 5?
Reason to close the vent; bees come out those vents like they were shot out..
i love the fairing on it and i absolutely hate the bags. i think i like the new breakout better but it is a cool bike overall.
.
I like the breakout, but it has too much chrome for my taste
@@speaktruth247 i get blackout is the in look right now and black does looks good but i like keeping it gangsta keep it chrome
Does it have cruise control?
I'll get one in a few years going to ride the switch back a little bit longer.
I gotthe vivid black, Agreed on the bars,, I’m putting bungking 8” risers with 2” pullback…
I will be at the anniversary this summer I’ll be looking for you!
Nice dude!! I'm excited.
Would you prefer the S or St and why?
Nice review
Thanks, Brad!
Are those IndieRidge boots?
NICE BIKE! That’s the one I’d like to buy if I could put the money together. I really like this color with the bronze wheels too.
You and me both!
LOL
Hated hated the bags. Not functional at all they may look ok but nah.
Can be done tho. If you look up Kaplan cycles he's set his ST for 2 up, and his wife says its comfy for her!
Why didn't they do bar mounted gauges?!
What do you mean when you say your building a ST ? Or Any bike that's already built 🤔 ???
Gut most of the parts and do 1 off pieces.
And that 117 is a bonus.
I agree 100% dam good looking bike. Would look good next to my white turboed roadglide.
Great, honest review 👏
Think you’ll do a review of the Road Glide ST?
I will for sure. I’m going to try and do every single model again like in 21.
I loved my 2018 Sportglide, but being a shorter person, the forward controls would give me a sore right knee on longer rides. I think this bike would be the solution to that problem.
Great information, thank you. Great bike👍🇺🇸
I went to purchase the ST, fell in love with it having owned an original 86. Somehow I ended up buying a Polaris Challenger. Sometimes life throws you a curve.
The Challenger comes stock with 122 bhp, adjustable windshield and many other amenities. I think you did well.
Handlebars look twisted?
Such a bad ass ride
I really love the Low Rider ST and at the same time hate HD for the details case in point being the bags. So you buy the bike and fair enough you do the normal Harley tax, of doing a Stage one and fitting a new exhaust (probably a 2-1 as that is what suits her the most), and that is when the asymmetric bags start to look lame. Result 1k for exhaust/tuning and another 2k to fix the bags. It starts to become stupid in $$$$, when they really could have fitted a 2-1 as it was in the Sport Glide. That is excluding some other cosmetic bits....
As soon as I sell my street glide special privately,I'll give the LRST a test ride.
Shoutout to shadetree surgeon. Without him, the idea of a dealership collab with Harley Davidson to build a bike doesn't exist.
There can be only one.
Or, however many.
Idgaf
Hate the gauge, analog would be a must.
Also, after all the fees it’s closer to 30K than 20K.
Not for me.
Love the white!!
I agree, I do like the st fairing better than the fxr fairing
I just bought a 2023 ST, I’m going to change the pipes but told I may need to remove the bags, so I’m not going to pay
Nah 22k is wild lmao
