I’m a trauma nurse. This is what I watch when it’s late and I can’t sleep. Watching you guys build go karts is so relaxing can’t wait to build my own. Thank you guys you rock
Raced a Fox brand cart in 59-62 but we ran Mac 20's on it. Not that the twin engine setup was that much faster but the added torque for bigger guys made a difference. Twins were usually an UnIimited class and me being a 10 year oId weighing nothing I was almost unbeatable in the UnIimited races. Dirt was the hardest to race, being so Iight I could bounce right off the trac. Good memories.
Nothing like the whir of a Dewalt angle grinder with a flap disc spinning on it freely....One sound damn near every man could identify blind, its like a 350 with a good exhaust note...Or a V-twin... Tim Taylor approved!!
Awesome, my new favorite channel. That`s about as fast as you want to go on a go-kart, with no seat belt or roll cage, that thing flies, it was getting a little squirley.
I've been eating Herd's Burgers since 1960, it was over behind the drug store when I was young ....there is an old soda fountain in the drug-store, I believe..? Nice cart...!
This kit has one of my favorite upgrates..3 BOLTS for the wheels instead of 1 in th center! all the new kit is SLICK AS A B@$T@RD BRO! ! ! GREAT CONCEPT G.P.S ! !
Is there a kit that includes the acres of land to play on? Looks so fun. Live in town and want to make one with my son but I think the neighbors will hate it. Maybe if we make it electric they won’t mind it so much… Really well done video by the way. You guys are impressive.
Though it just seemed a little strange why you wouldn't have had the frame (and whatever other components) powder coated first, in order to save yourself the trouble of having to disassemble and then reassemble the whole thing over again... but aside from that, all-around it was a great project and video - nicely done! 👍
Steering linkage is behind feet...yes it would be more responsive yet wouldn't it hit your backlegs? To me that's not safe. Otherwise absolutely love the design of this cart!
I was hoping to see how you aligned the front wheels? I was wondering why you didn’t put grease on the steering spindles, or maybe drill a grease CERT, lubed the cables with oil, maybe put some rubber covers over your axle bearings to keep dirt out?
What a great looking build! Other than the frame what all was powder coated? I tried to catch what I could in the video but afraid I may have missed something. TIA
Can you share the specs on those wheels - the DWT Rims and Tires? I'd like to order a set from Go Power Sports. That's a glaring omission on the list above. Thank You.
Can you do a dyno comparison between a stock air filter and the pod filter with adaptor please? I run a foam filter on my Go-kart (with a Mikuni VM22, custom 28mm O/D exhaust and pitbike muffler as well as very carefull porting) and I've noticed a drop in power when I switch to a typical pod filter (just the same as when boy racers put pod filters on cars replacing the paper filter... OE is better) and I'm wondering if there is even any gains at all using the pod and adaptor or is it a waste of time just like it is on cars.
@@GoPowerSports Awesome, and they look great. I’m gonna order a set today. Thanks for getting back to me, it’s greatly appreciated. Go Power Sports have a great day
Would it be advisable to powder coat the kart first before putting kart kit together or do as you did. Put it together, tear it down then powdercoat? I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.
Always dry-fit first because you may need to weld things or change stuff and touch-ups are not possible with powder coat the same way paint can. (Obviously you can paint touch up on powder coat it just doesn't look as nice)
How much for this as shown? I'm counting from your list of parts around $3500 not counting the shiny rims; But still no suspension? My backs a hurt'in watching you guys drive that thing.
The Prep and Paint should have all been done BEFORE The First Assembly, so you would not have to take it all apart and ASSemble it twice... But that's just me.. And would have put Grease Zirks on the Spindles and Steering Shaft and Any place where Metal Rubs inside other Metal so they won't or are less likely to Rust themselves together...... Again, that's just me...
Nope, prep and paint after. That way if any holes aren't quite right and need drilled out or something needs to be bent/tweaked to fit you aren't messing up your finish.
With those big 18" tires and 6:1 gear ratio, we hit around 50-55mph. Would love to drop the gear ratio and even 15 cleats all around just to see what we can hit.
We always recommend test fitting everything first before powder coating. Too many horror stories of people spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a powder coat, only to figure out something was wrong.

I totally thought your comment was going in a different direction!
GPS just broke you tube with the most provocative go kart video ever made. Amazing work gents! Hats off.
Wow, thanks!

Killed it with the editing 🙌🏻🔥
Sick guys. Without you'll us poor SxSers wouldn't be able to have all this fun. I really appreciate all the work you guys do.
That was a symphony of beauty, I think it may be heaven...
Well put! Thanks for checking us out.
The production quality😂👏🏼👍🏼

Are we able to reverse the pedals for shorter drivers?

Wow the quality and editing was way better then I thought it would be 👍
I WILL have this entire set up within the year. I simply can’t wait. Tell Scott to be awaiting me call

Thanks my guy.

Herds has a special place in our hearts. They just need to add fries to the menu…
Great video now I want a kart for me
Impressive that they have trained lobsters and werewolves to help them build go carts!
Now what was impressive was that Burger !!!!

That’s a sweet foxy kart....
This video always sucks me in. Love it.
Great video 💯👍🏽✌️
So shiny, so chrome!!! 🤙
Nice build and great job on the video .
Sincerely I want one looks cool and so fun!!!!
These are pretty dope!
Your work is nice
Wao keren, banyak modal juga yah.
That cart is bad ass🔥
Sick video by the way!
Thanks!
I love your build
Awesome!🙌
This looks really fun! ................... I too am building a go-kart.
Awesome. Being I’m 6’3 would I have any issues fitting?
All day. This frame is longer than the r original and you can stick your knees out if need be. 6’3” isn’t an issue.
Gonna need alot of biscuits to soak up all this jelly.....
Sweet.
Thanks!

I need that in my center most state. Lol
I agree!
Good 👍😁
Thanks 😆
Good for those who have hard stomach because its without shock absorbers
My favorite part 8:08 - 8:25
How did you mount the gas tank on the 225? I thought it didn't have any brackets for it
🔥
Fajny ten gokard 😀👍
awesome build guys especially like the hairy arm & crab claw bit what provoked that ? lol
The thought of a crab claw wrench mad us laugh :)
Steering linkage is behind feet...yes it would be more responsive yet wouldn't it hit your backlegs? To me that's not safe. Otherwise absolutely love the design of this cart!

do u think its possible to convert this kit into an electric go kart?
We're did you get the wheels from looks nice
Muito show de bola parabéns Brasil
What a great looking build! Other than the frame what all was powder coated? I tried to catch what I could in the video but afraid I may have missed something. TIA
Nice video I have a Fram and a new motor that I could use some help with
sir, what is the size of your front & rear wheel?
What's is the offset of them front and rear wheels, looking to get some 6 inches for my gps vintage kart.
Can you share the specs on those wheels - the DWT Rims and Tires? I'd like to order a set from Go Power Sports. That's a glaring omission on the list above. Thank You.
They were left off because we have not been able to get these DWT rims in over a year :(
Sweet build whats the gearing and top speed
How come i cant find them tie rods...not the end but the threaded rod on the site?
What size tires/rims did you use on the front and back?
I was curious about that too
Hows that carb work'n for you in mud or dry dirt, you should really put a mud sheild up ,like a fender to protect inner motor from dirt...
Rough estimate on total build cost for this? Would love to build one!
$1500 - 2500
What driven pulley was used? Does it handle the HP better?
stock aftermarket 6" driven. The drivens seem to hold up quite a while and do not give us fits, especially left in the stock mid setting.
When will these be back in stock? I used to live in Keller. Wish I had known about your shop back then.

How much does it cost? That set? Does it come with the engine?
Mantap betul
Could I mount my Honda gx340 11hp engine on that go kart?
What is the size of front wheel and rear wheel please.
Is this kart for sale or one similar. Or of I could get the kit # and would love to put it together. Thanks lookin like your having a blast
Yippy
All day!
Noticed you used washers on the motor mounts this time ;)
Got eem.
Noticed that too
How did you mount a fuel tank on a 225?
Most 225 Tillotsons do not have gas tank tabs.
Awesome work guys. Any plans to add suspension?
That's the plan!
@@GoPowerSports That would be F’ing awesome! Whats the timeframe on that? Asking for a friend lol
Hey guys, great little go kart. Any info on when the rear axle mounting tabs for the Doodle Bug are going to be available?

Great video!! What’s the top speed on the kart?
With our gear ratio, we were topping out around 60mph.
I wish i could get a kart like that, but unfuortunatly i live on Portugal, in the other side of the atlantic ocean...
Does "Herd's Hamburgers" have an ambulance on stand-by for customers who order one of those heart-clogging monstrosities?
What rear axel and wheels do you have?
i find it funny that all of texas is shut down due to what would be the average winter weather in my hometown
Very true, we weren’t ready
Why is there fumes coming out of the CARB when that motor is running on the Dyno.. I dont think Ive ever seen that before..
Fuel vapor and condensation. Engines dont make any vacuum at wide open throttle so the is nothing sucking them in
Will there ever be a revision to the design to add some caster to the front steering?
My Manco Dingo's have about 10° caster in the knuckles fwiw. Curious what this one is set at.
I have a question, does the engine in this video come in the kit your selling online?
Sorry, this go-kart kit does not come with an engine.
Is total cost mentioned anywhere?
Thanks from East Coast of Canada
Hit me up at Sales@gopowersports.com so that I may get you a quote. Thanks!

That's a beauty! Looks like ideal size, too. What's the wheelbase measurement?
The Prep and Paint should have all been done BEFORE The First Assembly, so you would not have to take it all apart and ASSemble it twice... But that's just me.. You guys please make more of these vids. You guys have a replacement tire for a x7 pocket bike #35 chain
Ruffly how fast (mph) you think it can go?
With those big 18" tires and 6:1 gear ratio, we hit around 50-55mph. Would love to drop the gear ratio and even 15 cleats all around just to see what we can hit.
What horse power is the engine?
Top speed?
Would a 301 or 420 fit?
It will most likely hit the back of the seat rail if you go bigger than a 212.
Perfect
I’m not hating! But why didn’t you powder coat from the start? Why the teardown?
We always recommend test fitting everything first before powder coating. Too many horror stories of people spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a powder coat, only to figure out something was wrong.
Kart needs a decent seat... at least add side pads, those frame rails are going to leave bruises, you've been warned. Been there, done that.
Thanks for the heads up!
