    FYI... if you take the 3 inch spacers down to 2 inches on each front wheel or slide the rear wheels out further on the axles, the front tires will bite more in the turns and help the maneuverability of live axle go karts. I used to race go karts. It's a small change with big results!

    only trouble i see with this beautiful build is the leg room. why such a short wheel base? tube steel reinforced would be fine, make it comfortable

    This is the nicest cleanest looking cart I have seen assembled: I am a neat clean minimalist builder myself. I like a clean functional look. With a lower wide stance. I haven't found a single cart until this one that nailed my style. Only thing is the paint job. I am in custom paint and finish by trade. I always kringe when I see no primer and true prep.
    However it's just a kart. One mean looking Kart too. So I will let you slide on the paint

    Forget the kill switch make it nos button! Lol
    You should try a all out performance build and balance the engine to see how many rpm you could get and run on a dyno to see how many hp it can produce. Beings they have two oil drains I thought of using one to add oil filter and the low oil sensor hole to make a lubrication squirter also an oil cooler could be added.

    • @RedBeardsGarage
      @RedBeardsGarage  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have no oil pump on the engines. If I had a charging system I could. The button was actually for nos lol. Later video

    • @silentdeath9237
      @silentdeath9237 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Red Beard's Garage I know they don't have an oil pump what I have in mind is a belt driven pump from crankshaft it doesn't need to be really big and not a lot of pressure just needs to circulate oil through a filter and oil cooler. I also was looking at using an old ford v8 smog pump for belt driven supercharger I believe it should pump air fast enough to create a little pressure.

    I like the way it's built I have one that's very close its called a purple haze I have a lot of work to do on it somebody cut the roll cage off of it & the live axle everything is stuck on it I bent a lot of parts heating them & using pullers on the this kart has a jack shaft on it with the driven clutch on the left side and the right side is the small gear & the big gear is on the axle

    Try bringing the front wheels in a little, it should get rid of the push

    • @RedBeardsGarage

    How does having the front tires spaced out like that affect the steering/handling? I would have spaced them out an inch less than you did, just to keep the stress on the spindles down, unless it makes it handle alot better.

    Only problem from 12/20 purchase of 2 Go-Kart Alley frames is that one of the frames didn’t have the throttle/brake cable brackets welded on. For the $600 price ea for a Made in America frame (as RBG mentions near the end of this video), there should have been Quality Control inspection either in from the frame vendor or on the way out of Go Kart Alley in Keller TX. So far, no response from them on what they will do to resolve this issue. I have to learn how to weld!

    I'm looking to buy a Kart for my grandaughter. Have you ever heard of a "Shaller Go-Kart"? It has a Predator 420 engine with an electric start and a battery. It looks vintage, possibly from an amusement park. Anyway, it looks well put together. Not like the average kart. The guy is asking only $700!!! I think I'm gonna get this kart! IF I'm right, it may be worth a lot more than what he's asking. I wish I could upload a picture of it! Anyway.......Thanks for your Input Big Red! Keep up the good work

    Can a gx270/ predator301 with a torque converter comfortably fit in the back on the engine mount?
