Agreed. They had to go down the SUV route because their rivals including Rolls-Royce even are making so much money out of it they couldn’t give it up. But I think they will come back to this format in a few years time. It’s a wonderful car.
I prefer this to the Purosangue and in that blue it looks like an ideal GT car. That 456 (with the pop up headlights) is a design classic in my opinion.
I have one and it is epic. I have a valved exhaust with race cats and a light tune. My favourite Ferrari so far. I have an identical spec Purosangue coming soon. Can't wait to have both Cavalli in my stable. Love the videos, especially this series. Keep them coming please.
20 minutes of pure automotive joy! Truly the thinking man's Ferrari - much as I love the F12 and 812 I feel on Britsh roads and with our climate you'd actually use this and get to enjoy it so much more, whilst glorying in the same sonorous V12 powerplant but not perpetually worrying you're going to wind up in a ditch on a slightly greasy surface. I think they look stunning in the flesh (there's one in Bristol wrapped in a satin yellow which (hear me out) looks ruddy fantatsic. It's basically the blueprint for the Purosangue, just lower-slung. The glass roof is an absolute must-have as well. Buy one Damian, now!
I have an FF, I do around 12,000 miles a year in it. It is outstanding. I did actually fit Lusso back boxes on it to make it quieter in crawling traffic as it was simply anti social with the standard exhaust. I've been in and driven Lusso's and never had the urge to "upgrade" they got it right first time in my opinion. Pan roof is a must though if you're going to use the rear. The steering on an FF is the best in any car I've ever driven. The feel and weight is perfect and it allows you to hustle the car around in a way that doesn't seem possible.
@@jamesrobert4106 None to date with my car. Now at 36,000 miles. There is a upgrade aftermarket solution now should it fail which is full replacement for circa £10K drive in drive out in 24hrs. Take a look at Parkes Performance. Much of the bad press around the ptu was a lack of understanding of early problems and entire units were being replaced when a minor repair would probably have sorted the issue.
Has Ferrari fixed the PTU? I've seen/heard lots of complaints about them going bad and costing huge money to replace. Personally I really like the looks, but then I have a thing for "station wagons".
There's an aftermarket solution that is better than the factory solution. It's now a sub £10K cost if it was a full replacement. Manufactured by Parkes Performance. My FF is at 36k miles and still on the original PTU
I have the GTC4 Lusso T which has been fantastic. I bought the T model as ti is lighter and more agile. I didn't want a 4wd Ferrari and the mid range acceleration is phenomenal. I love the V12 but am lucky enough to have an F12. Many thanks for the video.
Been driving my V12 Lusso every day this year in the UK, -5 degrees C. Mine has to be the World’s dirtiest Ferrari 😂. Weekly shop, no problem. 4 adults, no problem. V12 screaming engine and almost 700 bhp, you got it. Brilliant everyday car, definitely a daily driver. Infotainment system and speakers are great, Apple CarPlay is a must on this car. Only small issue is that the windows are double glazed, so unlike the bystanders outside, as the driver you don’t quite get to appreciate the engine/exhaust sound. PTU has a tendency to fail, but there’s are companies offering a rebuild with superior parts at a sensible price. Sadly, Ferrari built the PTU with inferior parts, and the seals break at over 25,000 miles. But once rebuilt, they are fine.
Have you actually experienced PTU issues with your Lusso? I haven't heard of a single PTU issue with the Lusso. Apparently, Ferrari fixed the issues of the FF. With reference to driving in -5 UK conditions. Watch out for the grit rusting expensive stainless steel engine components.
“It’s Chris’s car, and Chris is watching” 😂😂 later on your practically red lining it! Superb car and great video presentation. I think you need one in your life mate.
Love cars ! no children.Retired. Need a silly toy. BUT; for whatever reason , don't want a two seater. I'm not even a handy man so why do I need a sexy station wagon, but I WANT this sexy station wagon.
I was lucky enough to drive a V12 model a few years ago. While I originally thought the concept of this car was a terrible idea, it turned out to be the most incredible "do it all" car I've ever experienced. Would have one tomorrow if I could.
My 2019 GTC4Lusso just went over 40,000 miles. I will be trading it in this spring for the Purosangue that I ordered over a year ago. I hope it is not a mistake since I love the Lusso. I have driven a Purosangue and am actually more impressed with its performance, again we will see with daily driving. Both have the panoramic roof.
I am not a Ferrari man but this is the one I would get if I was on the market. One thing though, how come Ferrari use cheap plastic buttons in the interior? I would have thought that in such a pricey and luxurious car one would get metal buttons. Otherwise I love it!
that's cuz they're a greedy company and have some of the highest profit margins in the business.. buy a ferrari and most of the money you're paying isn't going into engineering and materials and design... it's going into someone's bank account
I had a Grigio Silverstone V12 and I regret selling it every time I get that urge to pop out for milk and go missing for 4 hours. Unfortunately I had mine when my son was 1 years old and just didn’t get the time to use it. Absolute weapon of a car though and very rare.
I own two Ferrari FFs and love them madly! Ferrari FF and GTC4 Lusso are just the greatest GT cars ever made in my opinion. The combination of talents is unrivaled! Try it for yourself!
@@TheSparrowOfficialHi, I would always choose the FF. It is the original, I like the looks a bit better and the interior is of higher quality in my opinion (infotainment and digital equipment is not important for me in a Ferrari). I really enjoy the child like glee of a grown man giving a car The Beans! It would seem that I am living vicariously through you. Great Job! This is my first time watching your channel.
Another great video featuring a fabulous car which only Ferrari could design and build. Whilst listening to your summary at the very end of the video, I asked myself what colour GTC4 Lusso will you buy??
If I had the means, this would be the family ride. Which I don’t. So I have the poor man’s Ferrari instead. The Maserati’s GranTurismo MC Shift. Love these Ferrari vids. Always so entertaining.
You can easily fit four carry on sized bags in the back. Just travel light. People need to wake up and stop taking so much sh1t with them everywhere. I did 5 weeks in europe and the US with a carry on backpack. I lived. Leave all your crap at home!
Excellent video, however I much prefer the 456GT design, with a very compact v12 and manual shift option; bonnet/hood of Lusso too long to see front overhangs. Also like stated in the video the Lusso should have had a much larger boot/trunk to fulfil its family Ferrari GT credentials with four up touring a continent. Its interior plastic controls seem cheap also in look and function and the car is still too heavy. Like stated in the video you can feel the girth and the weight of the car while driving, something reiterated in other reviews i read and saw. All that power and the wide track and tyres to access 200mph only relevant for only some German autobahns, and makes low speed feel and enjoyment less. Pure acceleration can be found on many other cars and sound can be tuned to anything with the right exhaust.

Purosangue, Lusso and FF are head decisions. You walk up to one with what it does than passion. Purosangue divides but will crush Lusso performance, practicality & on the cool wall. Lusso at half price of Purosangue & availability makes sense but will date. A great FF likely scratches the itch.
I'd avoid the AWD and either get the Lusso t or if I really need back seats just get a Guilia 2.9. Those transmissions are going to go bang at some point and cause bankruptcy especially if you ignore any whiny noises.

My thinking exactly!

Agree 100%. The Purosangue has actually grown on me, but I wouldn't need a second to pick between the 2.
The purosangue is more practical, having 4 doors... (And it is (the purosangue), in my opinion, uglier!)
