    Very nice job! It looks new. I love the yellow color and the clear plastic base allows you to see if everything is ok inside. The polished metal sides are a work of art, magnificent!
    For scratches in plastic, use sandpaper to remove deep scratches, then progressively finer grit sandpaper till you hit 4000 grit or higher. After that, polish with a machine using plastic polisher or car polish, for fine shine and gloss.

    I enjoy your restorations Tysy. A couple of friendly ideas? Use the correct size flat tip screwdriver when removing screws. I restore VW parts and always have to deal with damaged screw slots from someone using the wrong size screw driver. The other suggestion for you would be to have a plating station where you can bright zinc the screws, hardware, brackets, etc. They have different chromates you dip the freshly zinced parts into that change the color to black, yellow, etc. This provides superior protection over bluing the parts which is only really cosmetic vs. long term corrosion protection. Keep up the good work!

    Not to be nitpicky. but you have the armature in backwards. The anti-clockwise nut should be on the left. As it is, the grinding wheels will loosen with use, creating a hazardous situation...

    • @TysyTube
      @TysyTube  5 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      thank you 😊, i will change it

    • @kenzpenz
      @kenzpenz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      NITPICKY ? I didn't even notice, but will in the future, good eye M. Mitchell , now I have to go back and see what the heck you are talking about :-) .

    • @MMitchellMarmel
      @MMitchellMarmel 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      @@kenzpenz Basically, the grinding wheels rotate such that the wheels grind downwards at the front of the grinder. So, when you face the lefthand wheel, it turns clockwise. A clockwise-tightening nut will eventually work loose, potentially permitting the wheel to fall off while the grinder is in operation. Thus, an anti-clockwise-tightening nut is needed on the left.

    Pretty good. If you want to remove the deepest scratches on the plexiglasse, you need to sand them away. You start with the roughest grit, then take a less rough one, and another less rougher one. It will leave them opaque, but then, you polish it back to clear.
