Restoration videos for me are extremely relaxing, I put them in the same group as ASMR. Despite the loud noises, the no-talking aspect is the main feature and what I like most about it.
Funny... I've been an engineer for 40 years and have never seen the powder coating process done. We always "send it out for powder coating" and it simply comes back "done". LOVE that you show that process. Very educational. Now I feel like I'm an expert. Lol. Also, I noticed you used the term "I make a new one" in one of your recent videos. I LOVE that line and think you should use it more often. The minute I see those words, I just KNOW something entertaining is about to happen 😁. Keep up the great work. You videos keep getting better and more entertaining with each one you make.
The "I make a new one" line is a nod to his friend "my mechanics" here on youtube! I strongly recommend his channel as well if you want to have your mind blown by some insane machining skills!
Your videos are super relaxing. ASMR videos weird me out but your videos have combine the satisfaction of power washing videos with the sounds similar to ASMR vids and they’re engaging enough I don’t get bored and want to move on.
I'm a person with ADHD. Most of the time I don't watch the full videos of TH-camrs. But this channel is one of the few channels that I actually watch the video 100% through. This is relaxing for me
This is several months late, but yes, restoration videos relax me! I have anxiety, and watching this is enough to keep my mind busy, without being distracting. I love the restoration process in general and find it very interesting, but I've also fallen asleep to it several times. :)
Restovideos absolutely are relaxing. I have trouble sleeping, and these are about the only thing that drops me. Especially the ones where no one speaks. So yeah.
Yes, restoration videos are very relaxing. No music, no annoying sounds, just the sound of tools and the process from decay and rust to beauty and cleanliness. So relaxing.
You asked if it relaxed me... Lol... Heck yeah... For some reasons I can't sleep without watching at least one of your darn videos... With headphones.. I think it's the satisfaction at the end and all the sounds. Thank you for your videos.... 💝💞💯🔥💤
Your videos make me want to buy a parts washer, sand blaster, powder coat gun, sand paper, e.t.c. I get excited when I see you have a new video. Merry Christmas from Minnesota, USA.
And a fourth! I used to sandblast heavy equipment for a living and I loved it. Taking old, rusty equipment and making it clean and ready to paint. After watching all these videos I want to set up a restoration shop at home this spring and begin.
Yes! The sandblasting part of your videos is the most relaxing part for some reason. There's something peaceful to me seeing all those years of rust and gunk being blasted away to give to part new life. Love it! Keep up the great work!
Hey, to answer your question at 5:45, I actually watch these kinds of videos night time before I go to bed. It helps quite my mind enough for sleep to set in and take over :) - so thank you for helping me get to sleep. I’ve actually watched though your back catalogue a few times now.
I find your videos INCREDIBLY relaxing and calming. I watch them while I'm working and they have a way of keeping me focused (I read medical charts all day... yea me). They're also rather inspiring, since I also like to restore old rusty dusty stuff. When I have the time, that is.
Just arrived from work and wanted to have some rest. Now enjoying my coffee and a nice restoration video. Many thanks for the post and the amazing group members. Even reading the comments is so amazing.
Definitely my favorite sleep aid, i can take a melatonin and not get as tired or be as relaxed as I am when I watch your videos. I absolutely love them.
I really love watching your videos to get to sleep, they‘re not boring, but very calming. This is the first video that didn‘t give me chills because i‘m very scared of spiders :( please don‘t show spiders again :(
Relaxing is an understatement 🤣 I watch these in bed at night and regularly fall asleep watching them but not because they are boring but because the sounds of the restoring process, the sanding, polishing and the cleaning just make me fall asleep 😴
Very relaxing and therapeutic. I go through numerous severe depressive episodes every year. I can't thank you enough for your content It's get me through the day.
yo same! in my life i could never really be afraid of spiders, i just find them cute and chill, quiet like me. what i really really dislike are cockroaches. those are a real phobia!!
Hey TysyTube. You asked if restoration videos relax me? Indeed! Yours are some of my favorite as well as Hand Tool Rescue. I like yours because, well you don't talk and it is really cool just to watch the things you restore change and become what they used to be. You always do a great job and I hope you continue to work into the next year and more.
Really enjoyed your restoration . You are also the first one I've seen properly use files the way they are supposed to be used . You never draw the cutting edge back across the cutting grooves . You only push away from you like you're supposed to then lift and bring back . My respect sir !
Yes, I find resto videos calming. I have pretty severe anxiety and non-combat PTSD, and I watch a lot of restoration and hobby model kit building videos as they are one of the few things that help me to relax and remain calm. I especially like long parts of sandblasting and assembly. I also find machining videos especially calming
Yours and others. Watch them when I can't sleep. Helps me relax enough to depart to Dreamland. I understand them without being like I'd do that differently.
I have watched several restoration channels and this one is by far the best one. I am in awe of the patience required to restore these items. I find these videos very relaxing
I love your restoration videos! They're my sort of asmr. I used to watch all kinds of restoration videos to fall asleep when I was pregnant, now I watch them with my son and we both enjoy them.
I’m writing this before you paint (which I’m sure you will) Taking all the rust off is going to take close to 1 Ounce or .02 Kilograms off at most I would think. That being said I think after the paint it will be heavier. So closer to 8 1/2 Pounds or 3855 Grams not exact but close. Yes restoration videos are very relaxing.
You asked if restoration videos relax me. I watch them right before going to bed to relax me. It’s very soothing and I go right to sleep after watching a couple
WOW, just WOW. Excellent job. Removing the rough casting and powder coating it made it look great. Great job and keep up the excellent work. Love your videos.
I love these videos. Specially the parts when you sand blast the objects, remove the rust with the liquid, that powder paint and when pieces are polished up to a mirror-like point. Wow, so satisfying... They do relax me, it's like bringing a dead and wasted object back to life.
After You watch this Awesome video you should check my Knife Restoration 😍 th-cam.com/video/S4GwhXnPQw0/w-d-xo.html
Aah! The spider was ALIVE?!
Also great vids
Yes. This is my sleep aid of choice.
lmao pull that one at a bar and you'll be the baddest bitch around
Same, Sid. I watch Tysy every night to relax before sleep
Mine too. But I guessed the correct final weight so now I'm too disturbed to sleep. Spooky
Yo same.
I do it because I’m not allowed to be up and I share a room lol
Restoration videos for me are extremely relaxing, I put them in the same group as ASMR. Despite the loud noises, the no-talking aspect is the main feature and what I like most about it.

I would suggest you take a look at "Rescue and Restore" channel. The man is the King of Powder Coating.
@@caribmedical57 He absolutely is!! I am addicted to powder coating because of him.
I also recommend my mechanics. He's also a restoration channel and is known for "i make a new one". Love all these channels.
The "I make a new one" line is a nod to his friend "my mechanics" here on youtube! I strongly recommend his channel as well if you want to have your mind blown by some insane machining skills!

That spider had the body shape of a black widow. I'm pretty sure if she bites you, you become an avenger.
I know just no red hourglass mark.....scary looking still though
The hour glass is on the underside, pretty sure it it's a black widow...
If it bites him, his wife becomes a widow...
Don't think there's any black widows in Europe. There's spiders that look a bit like them but aren't dangerous
Could be a false black widow
That magnet hack for the sandblaster though... Another great job, happy holidays to everyone that sees this 🙋😎👍💖☕😆😸
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🥳😘😘😘😘😘😘!!!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas Eve! (It’s still the 24th for me)

You’re almost the only restorer on TH-cam who hasn’t painted the prismatic support on the scales. I really appreciate this.
Yes they are relaxing. I watch them at night before bed. Thanks for making them!
Yes, I find your videos very relaxing.
Laura Osinga yep. I always enjoy watching them, and often use them to fall asleep
Me too!
Yes, restoration videos are very relaxing. No music, no annoying sounds, just the sound of tools and the process from decay and rust to beauty and cleanliness. So relaxing.

Merry Christmas from Minnesota, USA.
Buy a sandpaper and try to polish something first: a spoon or a fork. You’ll thank me later for saving your money.

And, yes, very relaxing!
As a mechanical design engineer, I enjoy the PROCESS. Seeing the step by step things to make and old thing new!

I think it came out very nice although, to me, it would look better black than red
Yes, restoration videos are relaxing. As long as there's no raucous music and endless chat. Yours are great.
Yes, I watch your videos to forget about work. Sand blasting is the best.
Feliz Navidad!
Просто супер!!! Мастеру уважение ,за такую работу! Руки у человека растут из правильного места!

Merry Christmas! And I do find your videos relaxing, it’s why I watch them.
I find your videos very soothing and watching them as I’m laying in bed at night. The sandblasting and metal sanding parts are my favorite.
I love how the original weight includes the spider. It’s so cute to me that the spider gets to count as part of the rust and grime. It’s just cute!

Not as super accurate as modern scales, but I know a couple of dispensaries here in Colorado in the U.S. that would love it as a conversation piece

The spider is a black widow. It has the characteristic sand clock stain on the abdomen.
