One of the best computers in terms of design ever made by Apple I have to say. I will not be buying one as I use my iPad Pro for all of my tasks however it looks really sharp! Great video Drew!

That was my thought until I bought an M1 Air last year. Now my iPad just sits around collecting dust. MacOS and the keyboard/trackpad is the better option for portable large format machines
@@TheJLMDT definitely. iPadOS unfortunately just makes the iPad a bigger iPhone with more screen and less portability. I think Apple has made it clear that the iPad will never be like the Mac. my M1 iPad Pro sits on a shelf and I always reach for my M1 Macbook Pro.
Nice vid, definitely refreshing to see an unboxing that’s filled with opinions and not all spec sheets! Can’t wait for the full review, even if I probably won’t get the Air since it is so expensive here, bought my base M1 MacBook Pro for like half the price of that new Air haha.

Honestly after 5 years I really would say the MacBook air REALLY needed a redisign. Wonder what apple will do with the M3 Macbook Pro.
Sucks that in Canada we have to pay an extra $30 for the dual USB-C brick.
To me anyways specing the M2 air up to 16gb ram 512ssd, it makes more sense to buy a referb 14 inch base pro.

The dual usb c port should've been on 67w adaptor. Then you could charge the macbook and iphone simultaneously at high speed

I personally think that any computer should have at least 1tb of storage at the minimum. 8gb or 16gb of ram are both good although I personally only used the 16gb ram on the M1 Mac Air but I’ve heard that 8gb is fine for most people but I like my maxed out 2tb 16gb Mac Air

How does it compare to the 2020 MacBook Air since it's the same thickness throughout compared to the wedge shaped design of the previous MacBook Air?

I think because of the speakers integrated into the keyboard, that must also mean they are increasing the complexity of the keyboard.

I want this but my situation dictates I get a refurbished M1 MB Air.
m1 air doesn't get thermal throttling. This one does, and the raw performance isn't so much better. M1 is the perfect power/consumption balance yet. Don't be pissed because of design not being so flashy. ure still getting a beast.
MacBook Air is IMO big missed oportunity not following the style language of iMac 24. Was so logit. This way it is just another same indistiguishible apple laptop.
