10:02 The infinite battery life joke was hilarious and while I knew one end was MagSafe and the other end was USB-C, I never thought to plug both ends into the same computer until you brought it up
2:55 As someone who professional works in the airline industry I can actually answer this question. The answer is the plane would not crash. However, it is possible to cause the electrical module that powers all the power ports to fail and thus cause the power ports to not be functional. Commercial airliners are extremely powerful and able to to use and provide an insane amount of power. For example an average engine on an air Keith provides 150,000 horse power per engine, about the same as 750 cars. Airliners also have hundreds of computers and can use thousands of watts of power. So no, all passengers at the same time using their 140watt bricks will not crash a plane. In most likely good nothing would happen and at worst you wood just fry the charge port.
You’re saying that this Macbook Pro doesn’t think much of you? You’re not good enough for it? It’s sad when a computer thinks that it doesn’t want a particular human working on it because that person doesn’t meet its performance needs.
All the normal MacBook users, like me, who use their Macs for basic productivity work and light creativity got what they want last year with the MacBook Air. I'm glad to see content creators like you just be so excited this year.
@@alexandercrush I wouldn’t mind having a notch on the MacBook Air as long as the bezels are significantly thinner and are black. Unfortunately, some rumors suggest the MacBook Air will have a notch AND white bezels which is a horrible idea. I’m really hoping they’re wrong, but if they’re right, I’ll be glad to get the M1 MacBook Air when I did.
MacBook air was great value but the lack of io and limited storage/ram configurations made it no bueno. I don't consider what I do to be a super power user work case but it's also not the kind of thing a i3 processor from Intel can handle ether. So these new MacBooks we're huge and I hope that the physical design makes it way down to other users because ports are a good thing
Ngl I have the base model 2019 MacBook Pro 13 inch and I’m really thinking about upgrading to the new base model 14 inch because it just seems like just an exciting upgrade that would last me for years!
They took the design of the titanium powerbook g4 as a throw back because that machine is now 20 years old. I loved that design and its good to see it came back
Having the previous gen Macbook Pro… I always felt it was “wasteful” being so thin. I like that the new model is thicker for more power and battery life. And in the bigger scheme of things it’s actually thin.
i love how when you picked up the internal box your first reaction was its heft. my response was exactly the same. look forward to hearing how you respond to the spatial audio and other features. the screen is so crisp.
@@flapflapflap I am going to find out, because I do fly with my laptop. I have up until now flown with a 2015 15" MBP. This is only slightly heavier. @@flapflapflap exactly my concern. The previous gen design was so sleek, thin, and modern. These new designs are big, bulky boats that look like they can barely fit in a laptop sleeve and add a lot of weight to a backpack. It is actually kinda shocking to me that so many people like it. I’m glad it’s so powerful but it actually made me wait to see what the m2 or m3 airs will be like. I’ll take anything they can deliver that is slimmer and lighter than this. I really hope they do a 13’ and 15’ air because I’d much rather take a portable lightweight machine. I want a bigger screen but I just don’t know if lugging this thing around would be worth it.

Awesome Review! Just a heads up, did some searching, and apparently that awesome finance cash back bug (i'm assuming the 6% off) on apples end will be reverted back to the original 3% :(
I guess no one will have any idea to plug in magsafe on it's port and the usb-c end on the usb-c port on mac body and literally mac charge itself till the battery die
whoa! amazing! the Mac? yes, fo sure! but I can feel your excitement via the screen! well done, very well done AND, obviously, congats on the new gear.

I’m curious to see year over year increase in performance for MacBook pros to see how this jump compares to the usual. Also, curious to compare prices, what is a similarly speced PC cost today, and what’s a similar performance Mac Pro and iMac Pro cost today (eg on Final Cut Pro). Also curious to see ‘Descript’ for video editing in this vs older MacBook pro’s.
For a workstation from Dell, HP, or Lenovo with a similar spec to the Mac Pro, it will cost about the same, except that the afterburner card isn't available as an option.
This just makes me hope apple doesnt make the imac pros as thin as it could get.. appreciate the thickness for function.. get that freakin new headphone jack on the back not on the side of the next imac :D

PowerBook G3 Pismo was released in 2000, Lombard was released in 1999.
The older MacBook had curved edges which made it more thin then it actually was. While the newer one went with a boxy design that shows every inch.
The black background on the keyboard would have contrasted so well with the silver MacBook.
and the black logo too! Mac Pro/Mac mini vibes
