I have an LG monitor that's getting old, so I'm in the market for a new one. This one compares a little bit to the Samsung G9. There are some limitations with the ports on this monitor, but besides that, this is a really good one. I'll have to compare a little bit more, but this video helped a lot.

The fact tha it is an OLED, high refresh rate and 1440p its awesome... The lack of a KVM, USB-C, speakers its disappointing tho.

We need a 50-52” version of this Monitor.
The 45” is actually smaller when you subtract the Curved from the horizontal length. You WILL NOT be occupying 45” on your desk FYi. (Its smaller)
The actual screen isnt 45 inches either. The 45 inches refers to the diagonal length so the horizontal length of the screen is actually closer to 42-43 inches

thinking of picking this one up to replace my 34" AOC CU34G2X im a flightsim enthusiast and also play FPS and a 21:9 ratio is perfect for both where a 32:9 would be too much for fps
I know it's only been 2 weeks, but any issues with burn in when using as a productivity monitor with lots of static display items?
I brought this monitor around the end of last month and no issues at all with it. Like I've mentioned in the review there is burn in protected so in general it should be fine.
I have this monitor and removed the matte coating with a buffing machine and Novus 3 Step Plastic Polish and 3M Ultrafine Machine Polish. I also use a LG service remote and you can increase the brightness by turning off CPC enable and LEA refresh enable.

Hello, nice to see you again, nice channel. Please, I have a monitor doubt: between the monitor of this video and the *rog strix xg43vq*, which will be better to connect a PS5???. I will use it at 60% iracing (pc) and 40% GT7 (ps5). Again thx so much for your channel and support. :)
I'd you're going to use with a PS5, consoles don't support ultrawide so the picture it will either be stretched or you could game with black bars at the side.
@@GeekStreet Yes, I know ultrawide is not support by PS5, the image will be warped (widthwise) or black bars side.... is the picture of GT7 to much warped???. thx so much ! ;)
The ''Cinema 1'' Screen Input Option should allow you to zoom a PS5\16:9 signal to max out your 21:9 screen, without stretching the image... You'll simply need to readjust the PS5 screen borders(reduce the area - probably to it's smallest)to compensate... Let me know when & how good it works... =]

@@GeekStreet Yes good... 1. Watch a 21:9 movie\show on the PS5 & see if it zooms properly 2. Go to settings & reduce the display area(if it's not small enough to kill the borders - I just checked my PS4 - we may be able to ask Sony to increase the range to -75%) 3. It's meant to work with games & getting 21:9 movies trapped in a16:9 format to properly fit an Ultrawide - normal Input Modes should be used with regular 16:9 video... O.O
I need a monitor for my ps5 and mac 40 inch + ultrawide any suggestions? I have been looking for g9 Samsung OLED and this lg monitor and idk which to get as the problem with g9 is that I won’t get 240hz with mac I can only get 120 btw price range is no problem

I had this monitor for my SimRacing rig and sent back. I also have the alienware OLED monitor and to me the quality is on another level. The LG brightness is so bad, same for the PPIs on windows...I eventually got back to a 49 samsung mini led for my rig, the brightness is a deal breaker

Next year LG is releasing the 5120x2160 OLED range. 240hz next gen oled
I'll wait for a 4K version. At this point, for gaming, a larger 4K TV works better.

this is the perfect 1440p 240hz, you wont be able to run this up to 240hz if this was a 4k resolution
This display needs a 5120x2160 resolution. I'd also prefer a proper MiniLED display for mixed productivity usage. Even my 38" monitor has a higher resolution. 😒

Supposedly a 5120x2160 version of this is on the roadmap for end of this year or beginning of next year.

I'd say no as it's a ultra wide you'd see black borders at the sides you'd want a monitor that gives a 16:9 aspect ratio

Negatives. Antiglare costing, low PPI, SDR brightness sucks. Not recommended for consoles.

Upfront this monitor was a big dissapointment. It is matte. Shame.
It's really not that bad having a matte screen but like I mentioned in the review it would be interesting it the had an option to purchase with a glossy screen.
Matte is nice. Glossy is just awful.

The ppi on this is absolut terrible. Its a full hd resolution. DONT BUY THIS CRAP.
It's a 1440p stretched monitor aimed at PC gamers , with that resolution It's no suprise the PPI is low but on the flip side if it was 2160p monitor so a stretched 4K monitor most peoples pc's wouldn't be able to handle it so this is why they went with it.

3440x1440 @ 49 inches is just painful. Cutoff for that res should be 34 inches.
Just put Nvidia sharpening filter at 100% and it really makes it far better.
45 inches @ 3440x1440 like all 34 inch units? That's pathetic. How do you go up diuble surface area with same pixel density. Just sad lol
I'm guessing this resolution is more suitable for most PCs, having a PC that supports higher resolution at that ratio will probably cost you an arm and a leg.

Ppi and ppi, 45qre have the same ppi as 55 4K tv , 65 4K have lower dpi as this 45 lg and people steel have fun plays in These tv. I have 45qre and this is the best monitor what i tested. Ppi is not a problem in any games. Look at 55 lg 4K I play too with this tv but 1440p and steel look good, not perfect but good. 1440p in 55 inch !!! Common bro.
@@tomaszrzeznik3444 not a problem in games? 1080p is not a problem if you look at it like that. If you want a monitor that feels high end you need much higher res at this size. I'm on the 34 Alienware OLED and I sat in front of this 45 inch at a store searching something. First.. Way too curved then I was thinking the contrast looks pretty good .. Way too good for such a big low res cheap monitor... Then I realized this was the 45 inch 1440p OLED. It looked so soft I seriously thought it was some $400 unit. (it was just windows browsing online for 2 mins so didn't test games therefore didn't see contrast properly as I would of picked up it's OLED with blacks instantly.
It felt like those 32inch 1080p monitors we used to see. Zero imagine quality just size.
