In the german dub he says: "macht des genji! mach auf" waht means "genji Power! make up". So, in English it's a power rangers parody in german it makes fun of sailor moon.
Not 1000% sure but I think fighting simulator has Titan, Phoenix, Garuda, Alexander and Odin. First game also had 5 unique bosses in Shiva, Chocobo, Leviathan, Bahamut and Omega. DLC added Ramuh and Weiss(?). So I think dlc might add a few more.
@gnarlyboyjai Typhon is the wind summon in FF7, and will most likely appear along with the remaining summons of Hades, Bahamut Zero and KotR in part 3. Garuda was only introduced as a summon in XI, it was just a random bird enemy for most of the games before that and is found in Wutai in VII as a regular random encounter
Agreed. Everyone hypes up John DiMaggio's time as the character, but I think it's mainly because of his trademark ham. Keith's take on the character has a more rugged "weary warrior poet" vibe to him, if that makes sense, giving him a bit more while still being as hammy as a wild pig.

Don't remember if he's in 8 or 9
He's not in 10
Didn't play 11 enough to see if he is in it
He's in 12.
I believe he is in one of the 13s
Believe he is in 14
Not sure about 15 or 16
@@RaifSeverence X and XVI are probably the only ones after V that he didn't showed up in some way( maybe in the upcoming DLC?), in XIV at a certain point Gilgamesh is disguised as Yojimbo though, probably don't imply anything to X but maybe it was the game replacement for him?
@@RaifSeverence FF9 & FF11 namesake is different person, FF9 ones involves in series of sidequests, while FF11 is leader of tenshodo & father of main heroine, Lion, from base game & 1st expansion, also... their situation really mimics FF10's Cid & Rikku, in which both Rikku & Lion share similar fashions while both Cid & Gilga being old man & their respective leaders. Also, he's not in OG 6 btw, his addition later on was on GBA port i believe.
FF8s is a guardian force (summon) replacement for Odin if done something about it.
@@RaifSeverenceHe also appears in Type-0.
Got to this fight tonight. I was level 49 and after the Odin/Alexander duo I master my team set up and barely finished it as he counted to one. Was such a great fight.
I was around the same level and just couldn’t do the dual summon fights without one of them doing that stupid near insta-kill move everytime. I kind of just bitched out at that point and switched the difficulty to easy. 😅
Though I was able to beat Gilgamesh on normal!
@@Rayfist090 oh I was on dynamic the whole time. Gilgamesh was a blast.
@@Rayfist090 oh I was on dynamic the whole time. Gilgamesh was a blast.
@@Rayfist090 Honestly, that's why I always stuck to using Phoenix during those fights, and using the level 2 limits to drastically increase stagger. It allowed me to really focus on one summon at a time by constant staggering as they kept building up my limits quickly.
oh my! It's Greg!
Gilgamesh Haiku Japanese
"Samayoite, neokite hitori, kakkodori. Kokowa izukoka, kochou no yume ka. Urasabishi, Genji kogareshi yobukodori. Yo wa nanimono ka, mayufu yuugiri ka"
Gilgamesh has canonically already been in the ff7 verse prior to this. Most likely an alt timeline. When he uses “masamune” it’s literally sephiroth’s sword lol. Sephiroth’s sword is definitely the finest katana, so it makes sense he’d have it within his collection. Masamune < buster sword
Bro how he does to travel the universes of each one of final fantasy
And every time the design gets great!
He got yeeted to the void by his former boss in FF5.
@@mickbotcast Without a doubt, the best rival of all universes
In the german dub he says: "macht des genji! mach auf" waht means "genji Power! make up".
So, in English it's a power rangers parody in german it makes fun of sailor moon.
Is this the hardest and only secret boss in the game? Is there no harder boss in the fighting simulator
I dunno but he was way easier to handle compared to the tomfuckery the Phoenix + Kajara combo trial did that unlocks him
@@wr5488no Garuda. I was hoping she’d appear because we need a wind summon but hopefully she’ll be in the last part.
@@parks97Choco/Mog is also already a wind summon.
Yeah, Keith is back. He is the best Gilgamesh.
Agreed. Everyone hypes up John DiMaggio's time as the character, but I think it's mainly because of his trademark ham. Keith's take on the character has a more rugged "weary warrior poet" vibe to him, if that makes sense, giving him a bit more while still being as hammy as a wild pig.
Pretty crazy seeing a Final Fantasy 5 villain in a Final Fantasy 7 game.
Interesting that they used the english translations for terms like 'iaijutsu' when before they didn't
The best part of this is Gilgamesh calling Chudlet a loathesome whelp
14:23: It would be amazing to be able to fight Gil/Greg in the third game, when Cloud has honed his skills to the max and see more of Gilgamesh's arsenal, but all in all he was a great character in this game.
Came here to watch this cutscene after seeing the recommended level lol, but was not disappointed to see this.
I beat Gilgamesh at level 49. It's really doable and fun!
Now Odin+Alexander, that's the real nightmare.
I swear this guy is the majima of ff series
Gilgamesh should definitely be in Kingdom Hearts IV
Gilgemesh is pretty much a Power Ranger character with the over acting.
As funny as it is for the Excalipoor gag to have a unique twist to it, I was really hoping they'd use the original dialogue from FF6 (or the one from Dissidia Duodecim)
I'm pretty sure that's the Spear from 14... Also that might be the fusion tsurugi on his back but i'm not certain
Anyone else notice that a Shira Trooper and Gilgamesh are the only ones that refer the Buster Sword by name except that both times it's in lowercase meaning it's a type or sword instead of uppercase for the name of the sword?
Also in Zack’s timeline, he’s described as wielding “a” Buster Sword, rather than “the” Buster Sword.
@@fissilewhistle Exactly! This makes me think that buster swords are a type of sword that anyone can just get in the FF7 universe instead of let's say Sephiroth's Masamune which is one of a kind.
Gilgamesh not being a golden haired asshole that shoots swords feels so weird
That's what Final Fantasy fans feel in mid 2000s when they played/watched Fate/stay night for the first time and Gilgamesh isn't a samurai-looking dude with multiple arms.
@@anythingtonothing yeah I assumed as much
I’m just waiting for the day when he breaks out a fucking keyblade.
This guy reminds me of Master Kohga if he was actually threatening.
I like how you summon Odin, as if in reference to FF VIII 😏
I just love how Cloud and Yuffie look at Gilgamesh like "Who the hell are you?"
Also, I guess this explains why Gilgamesh makes a subtle reference to Bartz in FF8.
Seeing him again makes me so excited but so sad that he isn’t in 16 like bro Gilgamesh isn’t in the full on action FF? hopefully he comes in the Leviathan dlc
The intro would be more epic if we just hear his life, and then he stands up proudly, laughts and look back, already ready to fight and he says the line; "HOW LONG I'VE WAITED! GILGAMESH FIGHTS AGAIN!!!"
So since he can travel thru dimensions, this is actually the same gilgamesh in every ff game hes in. 😮🤯
The ost is orgasmic with electric guitar. 😍
