Good job! When gas huffing, I always am stationary, aligned to something for a quick getaway. Also, in a wormhole assume that those who may live there have already scanned down the site. If they see you in a venture or a prospect they know why you are there.

That death to the Sabre would have been avoidable - as you noted either by warping off fast enough or by jumping back. One can activate a wormhole from 5000m, so double the distance of a regular gate. But wormholes also don't care about aggression timers. So the Sabre could just have followed. One more tip: You can warp to things from the dscan-window by right-clicking on it. Useful if you want to check out citadels for people docked. Good video and thanks for linking my post. :)
Once inside the gas site, bookmark the gas cloud you are mining and then move to that bookmark. You will be in the middle of the gas cloud and anyone cloaky trying to come close to you will be decloaked by the gas cloud.
Also other players can and will have bookmarked the gas cloud, they will warp in straight on top of you, always move away from the middle when you warp in.
Nice video! I'm an Alpha clone player who learned many things explained in this in this video - including the dying part - from reading manuals or forum posts and then doing it by trial and error. Great video! Just wanted to add that the timer for Gas site rats to spawn is 20 minutes from when you initiate the warp, not when you land on the site. I set an 18 minute timer so I can leave just before they spawn. I partially live in a C3 so when the timer goes off I go and switch ships, kill the rats, then switch and go back to huffing.
FYI and FOI (for others information), if you warp in cloaked (Prospect) the timer doesn't start until you uncloak otherwise it starts at warp initiation. Furthermore, if anyone has triggered the timer before you, that timer applies to all, so stay alert and aligned. Never just assume you have the full 20 minutes. IGN: Antturas Hawk.

I would always create an '''actual safe''' by warping _from_ t1 to another celestial, creating "s1". Your new ('''actual''') safe spot is not in-line between any two celestials, or between your exit wormhole and a celestial, making it 'more' safe. :) (You can also do stuff like '''super off-grid''' safes, which is putting a safe between two of your '''actual''' safes. Now you're _really_ not on any vector between any two things in-system other than your own, personal bookmarks.)

You really want to make another safe, between your first safe and a celestial body, that way you're not sat parked along a direct line between two overview items.

When you meet the sabre and its going aggres with bubble, you can entering back to WH, it was in activation range - 5000 meters. A little but chance! At second you must train hot keys for simple actions like bookmarking, warping to objects, D-scan refresh, Probe scanner window. And radial menu is very usefull too.
So definitely wont let me put Gas cloud havesters on venture, only the scoops. Did this get nerfed for alpha players or something? Kinda wishing I didnt spend the 35 mil now.

Apparently CCP decided in From Extraction to Production that alpha players getting gas was a no-no so they're going to remove that gas bonus on the Venture.
You can just press CTRL+B to get the 'create bookmark' menu, instead of opening the locations menu and pressing the button. Saves you some time and screen space! IGN: Jiyuu Sensei

I tried gas harvesting a few times and I was having trouble with rats or NPC's warping in so I had to go back to station and get another ship to kill them and it seems really time consuming. Any tips on that?
Not really unfortunately. I have been told that rats will spawn 20 mins from when you initiate warp to the gas site thus 'activating' it. You can't stop them from spawning, so either bring another ship that can take them out or just leave. I am not 100% sure if they also leave after while when you warp off, but yea theres nothing you can do about it :(
I tried to put the Gas Cloud Harvester 1 on the ship and it says, "Hull cannot fit this module type". I don't understand how you can put them on but I can't. I have an Omega account. And my gas cloud harvesting skill is lvl 5.

yup! the most dangerous spot in WH space is right on the entrance/exit. You can pretty much pay off the venture and the skillbook with 1 load of gas (even with the lower end gas too)
Mostly do exploration in holes, which is a lot easier now that I have the ability to cloak and evade. May have to try this for a change of pace!! IGN CouperAngus. I would suggest setting up a couple of safe spots so you can bounce around if you have to and instawarp to one if scanned down while on site.

great guide. i'm currently training gas cloud harvesting 5 for this. it's really good if you can get a buddy to clear the rats up for you since they only spawn once. 4 hours into a 5 hour gas site, my dscanning got sloppy and i was double bubbled by sabres, but i already had 100m+ banked! great money for alpha pilots with very little risk, i wouldn't be surprised to see this nerfed somehow. nope! only certain ships are bubble immune, mainly one of the interceptors, T3 cruisers can put in a subsystem for it, and the luxury yacht. The stab will help you get away from scrams to warp off or you can use your MWD to get out the bubble then you can warp off.

@@marcusalexander7088 haha yea I misspoke there a little. cuz I was scrammed I couldn't turn on my MWD and crash the WH fast enough. When I died I was within 2,500m of the WH so it was on me by not selecting 'enter wormhole'
The Halaima system is way too populated to seek out wormholes. Player killers look for wormholes in populated systems along travel routes, trade hubs, and especially in starter/career agent systems. Avoid highly populated system for finding your wormholes by using the in-game map settings for pilots in space and ships destroyed data, and/or Dotlan. Of course nothing prevents other wormhole connections inside the wormhole of being high traffic as well, but at least his lowers your risk on one end.

To be honest, I hunted miners and scanners with 2 rocket bombers for a while but it's absolutly not worth it... you need so much time to find them, few escape etc so the income is pretty low and rly..scanning down this Ships and kill it makes absolutly no fun... you learn nothing from it, you get no fight and in the baddest case it was a new EvE Player who spend this much money into his first own Ship and you kill it...so in the baddest case he/she leaves the game. And in a Mining Frigate, T1 Scanning ships are new Players normaly. So for now i also farming Gas/Ore etc with Alt Accounts but to your aligment Tip you can shuttle as example between the sun and a Planet...but yep its not worth it and save you maybe 3 seconds, rly appreciate this guide for new Players and ppl who want to try out new ways in Eve! @@eventon9372 the timer in gas sites work similar to Ghost Sites: as soon aa you land on grid uncloaked, the hidden timer starts. Heck, even the randomisation of the amount of time you have is the swme

Why you open people and places so open the new location save windows when you press CTRL + B ,so simple like that , you complicate everything, when you should explain it in the easiest way to do it. 19:46 minutes to explain how to get a fit , how to going inside wh and save enter and exit , make a save spot , prob and them mining , you forget to say how is the npc spawn on gas site , how many minutes you can mine before they appear on grid that is one the most important thing , not to much people know . What gas is the must , web site who can show . That was a really good video. But is ok you just put allmost nothing .Sorry if I make you feel ,but that is my opinion .

interesting playstyle! lol cowboy mining is about not drawing too much attention to yourself. I bet some players didnt even bother going after you since you are in an endurance/prospect which are hard to catch. But in a porpoise, I would imagine more people are willing to swing by and have a go at you if you are seen on D-scan. Its up to you though!

Yup! If you can harvest some of the nicer gases and use T2 harvesters, the isk starts to scale really well.

Not sure about wormholes but in known space I often find Triglavians hanging out at the sun. Of course I wasn't in a defenseless venture or Heron.

Stabs work against bubbles?
nope! only certain ships are bubble immune, mainly one of the interceptors, T3 cruisers can put in a subsystem for it, and the luxury yacht. The stab will help you get away from scrams to warp off or you can use your MWD to get out the bubble then you can warp off.

@@marcusalexander7088 haha yea I misspoke there a little. cuz I was scrammed I couldn't turn on my MWD and crash the WH fast enough. When I died I was within 2,500m of the WH so it was on me by not selecting 'enter wormhole'

The Halaima system is way too populated to seek out wormholes. Player killers look for wormholes in populated systems along travel routes, trade hubs, and especially in starter/career agent systems. Avoid highly populated system for finding your wormholes by using the in-game map settings for pilots in space and ships destroyed data, and/or Dotlan. Of course nothing prevents other wormhole connections inside the wormhole of being high traffic as well, but at least his lowers your risk on one end.

To be honest, I hunted miners and scanners with 2 rocket bombers for a while but it's absolutly not worth it...
you need so much time to find them, few escape etc so the income is pretty low and rly..scanning down this Ships and kill it makes absolutly no fun...
you learn nothing from it, you get no fight and in the baddest case it was a new EvE Player who spend this much money into his first own Ship and you kill it...so in the baddest case he/she leaves the game.
And in a Mining Frigate, T1 Scanning ships are new Players normaly.
So for now i also farming Gas/Ore etc with Alt Accounts but to your aligment Tip you can shuttle as example between the sun and a Planet...but yep its not worth it and save you maybe 3 seconds, rly appreciate this guide for new Players and ppl who want to try out new ways in Eve!

haha oh boy. Someone mentioned that sometimes if another player was at the site earlier, the npcs might arrive sooner than expected.
@@eventon9372 the timer in gas sites work similar to Ghost Sites: as soon aa you land on grid uncloaked, the hidden timer starts. Heck, even the randomisation of the amount of time you have is the swme

One time I took all the newbros in my corp to a wh to gas mine, when we were almost done some people started hunting us down; instead of leaving the wh I got a bit greedy and warped us to another gas field thinking that we could harvest a little more before leaving....they got us unfortunately but they still enjoyed it

Why you open people and places so open the new location save windows when you press CTRL + B ,so simple like that , you complicate everything, when you should explain it in the easiest way to do it. 19:46 minutes to explain how to get a fit , how to going inside wh and save enter and exit , make a save spot , prob and them mining , you forget to say how is the npc spawn on gas site , how many minutes you can mine before they appear on grid that is one the most important thing , not to much people know . What gas is the must , web site who can show . That was a really good video. But is ok you just put allmost nothing .Sorry if I make you feel ,but that is my opinion .

interesting playstyle! lol cowboy mining is about not drawing too much attention to yourself. I bet some players didnt even bother going after you since you are in an endurance/prospect which are hard to catch. But in a porpoise, I would imagine more people are willing to swing by and have a go at you if you are seen on D-scan. Its up to you though!

This type of play in eve will only get you ganked and leave you very disappointed/frustrated. The mining ships in this game are fucking garbage and until they can defend themselves this game is worthless. Fuck this gank fest piece of shit game.
