  • New idea for offset smokers to eliminate hot spots. It's like a merge of Goldee's elbow and Franklin's collector.
Sorry for the poor video production quality. This video is about the content. I hope to do better quality videos in the future.

Just a thought... If you have a chance, you should flip the firebox door, putting the hinges on the left side. She's a beautiful build and your craftsmanship is a work of art!

This has very similar ideas to the one I'm building, its so awesome to see you doing it. I love the idea of the little plate in the collector to help with the thermal stress, I'm totally going to steal that for mine too, thanks!

Interesting idea with the diffuser! I hope it disperses the heat well, I’m looking forward to see future tests!

I like the idea…always wondered why no one did this. Really interested to see how it works!

I'm building a 120 gallon right now. I was debating on using the goldee's elbow. I was planning on adding a collector. I love the idea of a diffuser. Can't wait to see the next video.

I got a 24x60 tank and gonna build a smoker, and this nice idea.

I see what you are saying! Good work.

Looks good dude! I'm almost done with my smoker using the same concept, just implemented a little different. I love to share and compare how they cook!

That’s a great idea! I’m building a 500 gallon myself I’m curious to see how this works

The more I think about your idea of dispersing the heat I really think you’re on to something! I’ve built two smokers, one is a 60 gallon reverse flow which I really like, the other is a 288 gallon offset on a trailer which I’m on my 3rd modification to the throat baffle and I’m still not satisfied. The Goldee’s elbow seems like a horrible design to me but I’m just a backyard dude so what do I know, I’ve got a 110 gallon propane tank for my 3rd build and I think I’ll wait until I see how your diffuser works! Seems like a brilliant idea to me:)
