There's only one word for what you've shown us, Jimmy: artistry. Incredible, the amount of tricks and ingenuity, from the damper in the chimney to the repurposed clamp for your air inlet. Just the sheer combination of recycled parts, yet it looks purpose-built. Those were 27 dense minutes!

@@jimmydiresta Agree with all that. Great ideas yadda. Are ya gonna install some kinda DIROTISSERIE? (nudge/wink) Gotta remember chickins and roasts and briskets and turkeys and such, no?
I made a similar deal in Peru from a 2' diam x 1/2" wall thickness x 3' length of steel pipe stolen from the gold mine I was workin at. Held heat excellently. And required a fork lift to move. I'm sure that expanded steel grate was NOT galvanized--zinc imparts a peculiar flavor.

Me and my brother was searching for videos on how to turn a water heater, or were we are from, geysers, into smokers.
And then you land on videos like these ....
We were a actually fighting about the steel sheets he used for the wood box / fire box. I said that he must have bought an armored truck on an auction, and chopped it up to make this beautiful, "Bulletproof", / "Insolated", smoker.
This is SO next level, that i kept on asking him, why are we still watching this, because obviously we do not have that type of skill, or that type of workshop for that matter ....
And still, we kept on watching ...
Truly a magnificent peace of art work, "MAD MAX" style !!!
    Very nicely done !!! 😎👌🍻

Place a piece of steel inside from your firebox to force the smoke down so then the smoke rolls across the entire bottom of the tank. Then rises to hit the food. Better smoke ring. I have built many and found a downward force of the smoke will not rush to escape to the stack. It slows down and floats along...less heat and smoke loss. Love the inside dampener...awesome idea.

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but it looks like your shop is getting as cramped as the one in the city.

Nice work and engineering. Weld beads are icing on the cake, needs a little work but not a deal breaker. Really nice.

Mr. JD, much enjoy yur channel. 3/13/21 watched yur bbq smoker making...wow! Lots of great welding with mighty fine Lincoln units. Both yur woodworking & welding show yur many talents..u r blessed sir! Keep on keepin' on...more welding & woodworking. Also yur method of fast forward with compressed (natural) sounds for yur builds is perfect (for me). Fast fwd. with voice over is also a favorite method to view 4me. Keep makin'..love your creations! We need another shop your! U got a lot of eye candy...show us your goodies!👨‍🔧🥳👨‍🎨👍
