Just to answer a few of your questions, when Deku said Bakugo was driving himself into a corner he meant that he wasn't just being confident when he said that, otherwise he'd be laughing like he used to when saying stuff like that. He's turning all the competitors against him so he's forced to become stronger. Like how in certain life or death situations people gain unexplainable boosts in strength etc and unlock their full potential. That's basically what he's trying to do to himself either consciously or subconsciously. What All Might meant about Deku's unwavering desire to help people being his biggest strength and biggest weakness as well was basically that he was afraid he wouldn't have enough competitive drive or aggression to compete against others in a situation like this, as his natural tendency is to want to help others succeed and flourish. That's why he said he was worried for nothing, cause deku managed to put it aside for the sake of competition. And finally you did interpret that rule correctly at the end, each place goes up by 5 points, but the first place is just an exception/wild card to make it interesting and much more difficult for the previous winner to keep winning. That's why there's such a massive jump from second place to first place when it comes to point value for this game. Hope that explains everything. Your mineta hate will never stop being hilarious 😂 excited for you to meet the rest of the characters though and learn more about everyone.

We have 42 students left, 20 from Hero Class A, 20 from Hero Class B, the 1 pink girl(Hatsume) from Support, and the 1 purple tired boy(Shinso) from General Studies.
Shinso (purple tired boy) is one of my favorite characters!!!(As is Aizawa and bunch of my other favorite characters dont appear until season 4, unfortunately😔) You will get to know more about him in the next few episodes; He didnt get into the Hero Course, so he is going to use the Sports Festival to get a Transfer, WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENED TO AIZAWA!!! We get shown this in a spin-off manga, but Aizawa as a student was also in General Studies, until he won the Sports Festival and so he managed to get transfered into the Hero Course (where he met Present Mic). Shinso is a character that was dealt a bad hand in life and is doing whatever it takes to make it to where he wants to be, and i respect him for that, he may come across as an asshole at first, but i hope that you eventually understand why he does what he does.
Deku winning first place on the race without using his quirk is one of the favorite things we like to point out when discussing if he could have made it as a Quirkless hero! I mean, he beat Bakugo and Todoroki when they were RIGHT THERE, AND WITHOUT HIS QUIRK TOO!!!
Not crazy about Sero(Tape)'s power? Spider-Man saw fit to make web shooters.

That's a good point, I never thought of that comparison before! The fact it comes out of his elbows does kinda turn me off from his quirk a bit though

So much fun to watch this with you!!!! I LOVE Todoroki! He's quirk is so cool (lol pun intended) and so is his demeanor. I do like that as the sports festival goes on you get to know a lot of the characters quirks better. Can't wait for the next event!

There are a total of 40 students in the hero course. 4 of these are from recommendations. In Class 1A the two are todoroki and momo Yaoyorozu.

Sports festival arc is one of my favourite in MHA as we get to know the characters more hope you'll enjoy it...and this will probably be the last arc where everything stays very calm, wholesome and light cz after this everything will go crazy and chaotic be ready.

Mineta is horrendous in the first few seasons, but he's constantly being hurt for his actions so it's joyous yet unnerving at the same time
So I'd like to give you a warning about a future episode later in this arc that may cause copyright strikes on your channel, I won't spoil it beyond the title of the episode! I just wanna save you some headaches.
In episode 23 "Shoto Todoroki: Origin" There is some intense, loud, and iconic music that plays in all the most important parts of the episode, so it's hard to edit around. This episode often gets copyright strikes on reactions. what's worse is this sometimes leads to all the other MHA reactions on the channel getting claimed/struck alongside it.
It might be worth it on that episode to be a lot more cautious about the audio settings and perhaps even mute sections where you can hear the song through the filter you've been using.

Oh man those episode ends kill me too, this arc is pretty much nonstop like that, the stakes just get higher and higher, but because it's a tournament, they're fun stakes where you're not really worried about anyone dying, it's just the anticipation of finding out who's gonna win. I mean, even for me rewatching along, the episode ending like that is painful, lol.
And oh, so they do show/talk about my second fave's quirk, Tokoyami! His quirk Dark Shadow is very different and cool and I'm so glad you got to see a bit about it in these episodes!
Yeah I don't know how it got to 10 million either. Maybe it's "x5" rather than "+5"? Like 5 > 25 > 125? (Okay I actually plugged that into the calculator and you get to almost 10 million after the 10th multiplication, so from 42nd place to 1st the number would be waaaay higher, so who knows what kind of math they did. Maybe they need a math class in between combat training 😂)

Only applies to female characters? All Might, Bakugo, Selkie and more have their muscles and other assets constantly showing off to insane amounts thanks to anime clingy skintight material. MHA is very into fan service, but they don't just apply that to the ladies lol
