good job! i'm excited for the sony compatibility as it will add the possibility to use the A7S2 and a7S3. I have a suggestion to make this a complete setup. maybe you can make a power box that attach to the other side of the gimbal. POE++ input with power output for the gimbal, camera and accessories and network output for the APC-R mini.
Tilta and Smallrig make power adapters for the gimbal that lets you plug them into the wall (the smallrig one also has a power out port for accessories) and the APC-R is powered by the gimbal directly. So that should already be accessible! :)
This looks AMAZING! As a Sony FX3 & A7siii user, if you can add in some functionality to those cameras I think you’ll have a huge additional community buy-in for your product!
Love it! Sony camera control would be big for me. I am planing to use this in a car rig to remote control the gimbal. Therefore a mobile app with reduced functionality would be awesome. But I see this is quite a niche. Keep up the great work!
In the livestream/broadcast world Komodos are super popular. Especially on dolly sliders like the Defy Rhythm Compact. Would love to see support for them with this!
Sony camera control would be great, especially if the zoom could be controlled via wired multiport, either via the gimbal or directly. Then the FX30 in combo with the 18-105mm F4 PZ or FX3 with the 28-135mm F4 PZ could make an affordable alternative to a high-end PTZ camera like the FR7!
For the micro G2 you say you have to have an atem, but does it have to be directly connected to the hdmi or sci ports for camera control, or can the item just be on the network connected to your computer and then the Micro G2 with the APCr attached can detect the atem mini through wifi can can be controlled on the laptop/streamdeck etc in that way? So basically want to know if the G2 can be controlled (wb/focus etc) with just the aper-mini remotely through wifi along with the item at base station with the laptop or does it have to be directly connected to the camera as well. Thank you!
This is awesome. I would love to see control for Canon as well. I would have purchased the previous version immediately when I saw it if there was canon compatibility then already. Keep up the great work!
Super produit, hâte de l'essayer ! For the standalone remote tally and camera control, do you use the USB-C for data or power? Trying to find out if I could use a power bank and then be able to use an SSD via USB.
Yes the APC-R Mini is powered by the gimbal, however it is impossible to power a Ronin gimbal through this accessory port. So we cannot have POE+ that would power the gimbal
how would this work with non blackmagic camera ? suppose a Panasonic one. I will have ptz control over the gimbal , but would need to use their app to adjust the focus and other camera controls remotely ? I know DJI and Panasonic have relatively good integration now
I recently got my apcr mini 👌 powerful! Using a Sony camera with Bluetooth conexión(or Sony multi) to rs4 pro, it’s possible to control a power zoom lens from your app? I can control the power zoom with the gimbal but not with the app right now. It’s the zoom option in the app just working with focus wheel?

Looks awesome! Does middle control software allow programmed moves over time, not just position recall? Or can it connect to dragonframe or similar software for repeatable camera moves?
Insane ! Got 2 questions : - is it possible to set and recall position ? ( Like position 1 is speaker 1, pos 2 speaker 2, etc...) - if yes, is it possible to go back to those position using companion?
oh god. I also just noticed the "active track" button in the Bitcompanion Section of your Video 😄 Can you also start/stop Active Track of the Raveneye with this?
Looks great!! Just wish the ethernet connection was on the bottom as it’s always going to be sticking out and physically pulling down on the port when plugged in. Otherwise, very nice design.
It was quite a big dilemma, because having the unit downwards also prevent usecases with the Tilta or Smallrig power supply base and reduce mounting options. If you want you can use a thin right angle Ethernet cable just like the video which you can run along the APC-R mini and then down.
This is what many have been waiting for. Thanks to the original APC-R and its Accessories. Now that we have it all in one form factor chassis, I want to ask if you have plans for iOS/iPadOS control App? It would be very nice to use a virtual joystick on our iPhone/iPad touch screen. And using an iPad, in many ways we can have live camera feed and control App if you develop it.
