Excellent audio
It's a recently fledged, juvenile red-shouldered hawk. They are kinda noisy but I like them.
i'm feeling like a star, you can't stop my shine
i'm loving cloud city, my head's in the sky
i'm solo. i'm hawk solo. i'm hawk solo solo
Saw one of these just today, and an osprey. Hearing the call was pretty cool, though playing this video just now thoroughly spooked my rabbit, who now seems to think my laptop is full of doom. Note to self - headphones..
That looks like Hawkie who frequents my neighborhood. He does that same kind of kiii-ya call.
Was walking up a gravel road, southern Virginia, timbered land on either side and there he was catching my attention with his kee-aw as he soared over the open land, hunting.
I have a family of these hawks living in some evergreen trees in my neighbor's yard. Their wingspan is freaking huge!!
cute birds,nice sharing
cool.
That hawk sounds like a Bluejay. :)
Eternal Oblivion blue jays will often imitate the red-shouldered hawk’s call.
Blue jays imitate them all the time, they’re good at it, but it isn’t done in 3-5 call sequences like they do more often, Jays do it twice usually with less flow
@ThePaintermanful , jays imitate the red shouldered hawk call, I am 99.9 percent sure that is what you heard, the only other option would be that someone illegally released a red shouldered hawk in Europe.
I touched one of these before, there feathers are really soft.
It’s a Juvenile calling for a meal from mom likely still...
That is a Cooper's Hawk but still a great video.
It's a juvenile red-shouldered hawk.
There are lots of them in the DeKalb/Sycamore region in Northern Illinois.
Theres one nesting in my neighborhood
Runs off my neighbors @#$% Rooster
