Begging you to actually start collecting the saltpeter you see in caves, it's a valuable fertilizer for crops! Especially for the very K-hungry and all-important Flax! Olivine can be used to make green glass, but is also used in steelmaking.
notes regarding nickel and olivine: nickel isn't used for much besides endgame pieces that use jonas parts, and for those it's alloyed with copper to create cupronickel olivine is one of the four materials that can go into refractory bricks for making a cementation furnace, necessary for making steel. it's specifically used for tier 2 and 3 refractory bricks - tier 1 requiring fire clay, crushed quartz, and crushed bauxite; tier 2 adds crushed olivine; and tier 3 adds crushed ilmenite (a currently unsmeltable ore of titanium, which you can only crush in the form of full chunks of ore, not the individual pieces from breaking that with a hammer, so don't do that) olivine can also be placed in a bloomery to make green glass.
Double bells are annoying. Happened to me as well. Just as a reminder - you can make simple fence from stones. No clay required. Fences can help you with cave exploration. Olivine is very important :)
First video in my feed when I open up TH-cam, always looking forward to new episodes of this series. Those were some insane spawn rates by that nickel. Sometimes the way caves spawn almost make it seem like drifters can just spawn constantly at insane rates. If you want to, you can make glue with resin, it lets you repair some of the stuff you find in ruins so you can take it home for decoration. You can use that silver to make a sliver plate, if you put it in your lantern by putting it on the ground and clicking the lantern with the silver plate, it will increase its light level.
Thank you so much for the support, I'm glad you're enjoying the series! :) OOOH that's how you add the lining! VERY good to know! I saw the glue pop up a few days ago so I've been hoarding resin for future adventures! :)
Watch for your hides. Because with the last update they now rot. The only way to stop the process is by soaking them in lime water or putting fat on them.
I'm really excited for the cave overhaul update which is supposed to be adding ghosts/ spirits as a new enemy type in caves! These devs are crazy, they just don't stop! Keep it up Timmy!
Pres H when hovering over an item in your inventory. It will open up the handbook at that item. Perfect way to see what you can do with new items/block
Last episode I joked about you being bad at inventory management and this one you are already massively improving:P in my experience one mining backpack to 3 leather bags is the best for mining expeditions
That's more or less the number I've settled on, seems to give plenty of room for loot and then if you come across an ore vein you don't feel bad grabbing it! :)
Hey man a terminus teleporter teleports you to your last death spot so you can recover your lost hard earned goods! I’d make the night vision personally (although I haven’t gotten to that point) totally upto you!
Timmy man the interior of your base is beautiful and the outside shows so much great potential and progress I can not wait to see its continued growth.
I recommend using the one bombs on the quarz gains you will get a good amount of gold and silver (you also could check first with the prospectors hammer)
As usual, you deliver quality, can't wait for you to talk to the treasure hunter trader, you are gonna love it. Hint: it will take you on a MASSIVE adventure. Love the manor by the way.
VS really needs some kind of cleave on hit.. dealing with multiple mobs is so tedious. Hitting 2-3 mobs at the same time (even if cleaved targets take reduced dmg) would make the combat infinitely better
I COMPLETELY agree! The combat could use an overhaul, even if blackguard got some unique move sets instead of a flat damage boost that would be very interesting!
might be time to go to the archive
Might be 👀
That boar just can't appreciate someone with a vision for building lol
The boar's are bullying me send help 😭

I've got a huge saltpeter deposit next to my house, I'll grab some ASAP! :)

VERY good to know, I'll grab some more next time I go through the translocator! :)

Olivine is very important :)
Good thing I marked the Olivine, I'll definitely grab more! Ooh good idea with the fence, that'll save me some resources :)
@@TimmyTwoNipples tbf olivine is not VERY important, just useful for some things. also green glass :)

I'ma keep it real with you, I've got 250+ lbs of hide based rot in my reed chests 😭
you can always turn it into fertiliser
So that's what a bell looks like. Fun
bells are in my nightmares
hey quick note, you can stack ingots 4 high on a single furnace and it helps save on coals
Was already going to mention that. And you only need one coal to heat all four, it's great stuff. SPECIALLY when making plates.

unfamiliar with this update, SUPER stoked though, sounds too good to be true!

very good feature that I desperately need to use lmao
If you press 'h' while the mouse pointer hovers over an item, it will open the guide on the page for that item. I'm enjoying the series.
I always forget about that feature, very useful though thank you! :)
2:35 you can stack up to 4 ingots in forge if i remember correctly
Thank you for reminding me, I've been doing it this way for about a month now 😭

I've still gotta take full inventory of my Jonas parts but night vision would be INSANELY good! :)
Timmy man the interior of your base is beautiful and the outside shows so much great potential and progress

Thank you so much! I gotta find time to continue chiseling 😭
finally he wears the armour XD
Previous videos, I was always thinking "has a super neat metal armor....never wears it when he's out" XD
Best Vintage story series out there.
Thank you SO MUCH! :)
Fantastic haul! Oh I wish I could play this game so bad! But, thanks again for letting me and countless others play vicariously through you!
Thanks for watching!! Glad I get to share my experience with you :)
I recommend using the one bombs on the quarz gains you will get a good amount of gold and silver (you also could check first with the prospectors hammer)
Really want to do this in the next couple of episodes, gotta board some bombs though! Lol
At 2:40 I saw you putting 2 ingots in a forge. You can actually put up to 4 ingots in a single forge.
THANK YOU!! TIme to double my production lmao
Make sure to seal off dead ends with cobble stone fences.
Yeah I really need to start doing that, save myself the confusion lol
Love the underground canal! I’m stealing that idea
It was a lot of work but no mobs spawn in it and it doesn't freeze in the winter so it's seemingly very practical! :)
15:13 hahah let it rain!
They really didn't want to stop spawning 😭 lmao

Thank you for the support and kind words!! :) I might have to take a trek over the treasure trader.. 👀
Bro, I just love this Vintage Story series. You make really good content. Please keep making these awesome videos.
New series out now!! :) More is on the way!
can you do a base tour when the base is finished please?
ABSOLUTELY! I plan on making a full vid on it once it's complete :)
Very much enjoying this series!
Love to hear it!! :)

Hell yeah best part of the week 💯
Hope you enjoyed it! :)
Loved the video timmy
Thank you so much for your support fellow Sus Canadian! :)
woah this upload frequency, I love it hahaha
gotta keep em coming! :)
Your method of caving is... interesting. Do you understand Drifty Boys spawn mechanics? Why not throw some light as you progress to prevent spawns?
I usually let them spawn so I get a bit of sanity when I kill them! Probably not the safest method but it makes exploring even more exciting lol
Best youtuber name
I walk a dangerous path with this name but I think it's worth it!
Based video.
Based.
Btw i noticed that you are manually typing out the items name instead of hovering over the item and opening the handbook?
Very practical feature I just keep forgetting to use it lol
why didnt you bring a prospecting pick to find the nickel?
Mistakes were made (aka I forgot it existed after I found tin with it..)
What minecraft overhaul is this???
It's a stand alone game called Vintage Story
1 billion X better game.
It started as a mod for minecraft called terra firma craft and they moved on to make their own game
