Very nice! My dad used to have a r 69 Chevelle in High school. It was red with a black vinyl top and he built a 355 SBC for it. Sadly he got rear ended by a carless driver and destroyed the car. He salvaged the engine and put it in a 82 Pontiac Trans Am before selling that car and joined the Navy. I'm a big car guy myself, I have a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Y84 special edition W72 400/4-speed car. Mine is a project that I will eventually restore and do a series on it when I am able to get around to it.
@wordenentertainment1997 Right on! I love my 69 SS. Had it for 30 years. A '79 with a 400/4speed is a rare and valuable car! When I was in high school, a dude had a '78 T/A, but it had the Olds 403 and automatic.
Awesome work Matt!! Very professional!! That car is beautiful!! Love the distributor…def makes for cleaner wire routing. Also love the factory shifter, with the updated slap option. I still run a factory stock shifter in my 78 Camaro just for the looks. It’s not fun to shift though. And man, the solid sound of that door closing…you know that car is put together nicely! Very cool!!
@naxshack Thanks, Brian! Remember my yellow Chevelle is a column shift automatic. To avoid missing a shift, I modified the governor in the transmission to alter the shift points. I can leave the car in D, and it shifts at 5900 rpm when floored. Easy upgrade, and the kit is cheap.
Wow! Nice car. You do nice work salty! Love the wheels. It’s funny everyone is adding AC now. I can remember when I was younger everyone was tearing out perfectly good AC in their cars. My Chevelle doesn’t have AC. I’ve debated it. I have an unusual high tolerance for heat. Besides that. When I’m driving my Chevelle I just want the windows down and feel free like riding a Harley. I probably would feel differently if I lived and drove in a large city a lot. That’s about the only time I use AC in my daily driver. But thanks for doing this video. Love the car. I’m obviously a red car fan. Ken
@therosejewelrailroad489 Thanks, Ken. Colorado gets straight up friggin hot in the summer! But, the best part of the A/C thing is that my wife enjoys going to car shows now.
Whoa!! Nice 396 Ci Matt!! What a sweet ride🤘🤘💙
@@davidkasparian4089 Thanks! It really is a decent car.
Very impressive work Matt! That thing is beautiful!
@TwistedMacGyversTrains Thank you Frank!
