Just wanted to say, THANK YOU for having me on your channel! I had a blast doing this video with you!

I hope we can make more videos of your car in 2024
Looking forward to that!!😊
Are those Lemons Headers?
awesome ride brother
@@muskokasky1 Yes they are , they are a stepped header from lemons😊. Sorry about the really late response to your question.
Cheers,
Scotty
I realize i am commenting on this mans character after literally 30 seconds but by the way he is chatting, he strikes me as a really nice person. seems down to earth not full of himself not trying to be slick on camera just a down to earth dude.
Chris is one of the nicest and most down to earth guys I know! Really grateful that I can call him a good friend!!
Scotty is the nicest person ever. He will help anyone at a drop of a hat.
Sell car
THIS CAR IS SICK!! 💯🫡
@@FirstLast-hv6wt Thank you!
My favorite Chevelle is 68. I had a black one when I was much younger. This is a dream car
In a world full of 4 digit hp cars with unnatural aspiration its fun to see 1000+ raw naturally aspirated hp.
My ‘68 “only” had a 502 in it, and it was a beast!! Can’t even imagine what this would be like!!👍😄😄
Ahhhh the good old 606, 427, 396 Chevelle. Very rare indeed!!! Just messing with ya, noticed the badging and couldn't help myself. Nice car bro!!!
don't forget the ss454ls6 name
Seems like he's got it figured out
What a beautiful Chevelle. It sounds so SICK. Definitely a pure muscle 💪🏻 car. Gorgeous color. I want one like that one day. God bless.
Yes sir now that’s a car. 606 cubic inches even better that’s my area code
I used to have a nice '68 Chevelle, I don't know what came over me, traded it for a Plymouth Horizon of all things. GEEZ!
Nothing like that feeling... awesome car.
Love the detailed discussion of this video. Fantastic dudes!
Great looking chevelle I've got a 70 ss chevelle I put a 582 in.
How much you selling for
@@kwilliams3161 I'm not selling
Love everything about this car
Well, now I am depressed - need more cubes !!!
Definitely the way to go 👍
In the 60s a lot of heads didn’t have bolt holes in front of them and you had to mount things differently. my 68 RS/SS Camaro matching numbers 4 speed Muncie with 350 small block has alternator on drivers side up top uses brackets bolted from header bolt for low side and top side has arm bolts from water pump and curves over.
I've got a pro street Chevelle....nice ride
Beautiful i had a68 Corvette with similar flip flop paint job really cool back then❤😂😂😂❤
G kinda spooked by all this. You're a fantastic tuner. magical take-off, just aim it, & let go the brakes. wheelies are cool & even better in purple. be careful !
Because black lines matter"
People need to lighten up😂
Canadian brothers. What an amazing car!!!! Great video
Nice build, Big bloch Chevy's are tough as nails. I have 67 stock 390hp bored, 12.5 to 1 forged pistons, Hp big rectangle heads, blueprinted and balanced, and a Crane Fireball cam! Put it in a restored 85 full size Blazer 4x4, a 700 R4 tranny, 4:11 gears, and 35 " tires, awesome truck, lockers front and rear! Love it!
Hey man now that's a really nice looking Hot rod. I like the paint job. and the BEAST under the hood 💪💪🔥🏁🏁💯
Back in 1971 or 72 my friend a girl came over with her sister who was driving a cool 1968 Chevelle 396 SS with two-cup carbs sticking out of the hood on a high angel. I was with my best friend so then there was four of us and we ran out of gas in about 25 miles out around Jackson MI and ended up in the back end of a pickup truck with a gas can and hitching back to where the Chevelle was stranded. There was four of us and my best friend was black, I never would have stated his race way back then. Anyway the vehicle was high-powered maybe 400hp however it needed a serious tuner to tweak it out, super cool just as in this pic and that was a long time ago.
Awesome car Scotty! You rock!!!
WowLittle Nutty👍🏾🤠🤳
Brother when you got on it after switching injectors, iwas bracing with both feet under my computer desk.....lol
Lol...Ditto!!
My '68 SS396 is the only car I have ever regretted selling. Wish I still had that one in the garage
Wow that’s a great build, thanks for sharing,
Imho Chevelles have the most beautiful of faces.
Awesome car
Dude is running off those specs something serious..very impressive..
Do you need Nitrous, no. Do you want Nitrous, HELL YEAH!
Great video !!!
That's a real street car...!
Beautiful car
Looks like a car that used to race at Mission raceway in the 90's, I think he got it into the low 8's.
It very possibly could be.
Tiger by the tale, put some spur's on.😜
Awesome bud! 👍😎👍
Cool dude with an awesome whip.
Nice ride for sure keep the videos coming
I bought mine 1968 SS conv in 1972
13 : 1 compression running on pump gas?
How much are you holding the timing back?
Better off feeding it the good fuel...
Beautiful car right there. I remember them when they was new.. 😊
90% alcohol water
The race fuel gets used when racing. The pump gas is used for cruising. Though it still needs the alcohol/water injection.
Outstanding car
That's one bad ass Chevelle awsome😅
Holy shit hold on
That guy is cool as hell!
Wow wow wow badass Chevy oh I love that Chevelle I love it I want it I want it brother you done a wonderful job with that baby what's her name
Sorry if someone already said this but:
I wonder why not make a switch inside the car and label it to turn the different cooling charge solinoids? So he wouldn’t have to pull over and pop the hood.
Whoops. Should have watched longer!
i have a 1970 chevelle with a dart 605 with Holley Dominator EFI one throttle body edlebrock intake, mine is 10.5:1 pump 93 octane.
Man to coool
427 emblems on fenders and 396 emblems on the grille
Cool 😎 !
That’s a Briggs and Stratton boared 30 over with rocking rollers
I like it!
Yeah way cool....
I hear the detonation right on the hit!!!!
Hell yeah,,
Thanks for the great video carburetors for life
Idle up! , finnaly he turned it down
Y lové thé cars brotheur ❤😂
almost used this water injection on mine but e-85 is way easier to use.
I think you meant theres no replacement for displacement
Oh wow 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Car needs 3.73s, and a less of a stall converter... but clean car
literally the same as my 69, except its a mustang…
Holley Terminator efi with e85 is way better than any dinosaur carbs.
Is this guy Canadian? Talked kilometres.
Canadian?!?😂 The whole world, cept y'all, use the metric system son🤷♂️
should have motor plates
It’s not tuned right which made him turn idle I!
U have nothing to say , that will convince me . Period !
Shouldn’t that hp be in the low 9s?
In Edmonton where DA's are often above 4400 ft. Corrected to sea level the car runs low 9s.
@@SS454LS6ah, that explains it. Something wasn’t adding up, I knew it had to be faster than that.
@@SS454LS6 oh ok that sounds better, I’m just outside Calgary.
@@rogerbrandt6678 pretty much a neighbor then haha.
@@SS454LS6 I wish you were my neighbor…..lol
Better off using E85
900 lift lmao
Lol
U have too much $$$$
That aint 1100 horse.. u wouldnt ve hold that phone...lie
he lit up steamrollers like it was on ice, its not putting anythiing down just spinning, get it to hook and it would be a different car
Keyboard warrior
an N/A 1100 hp engine must hit different
i cant even imagine how this thing pulls
and instant everything as soon as u press the pedal
Hell I like watching this better than motor trend. subscribing. Bad ass chevelle
old mans garage has a legit 10 secound and even high 9's street car, with A/C , power steering, he just drove it from Florida to Ohio , and has made many 10 secound passes and a few high 9 second passes , he would dig this Chevelle
Psychobabble rapp got caught at Dillon state park doing butt stuff with a deaf guy Jon westlake and got HiV
The Malibu has been mid 10s on nitrous, which is still quite a long way from 9s (another 150hp or so) BUT your point is still valid👌🏼
A 10 sec SBC 3800lb street car with all accessories is still badass!! I’m attempting to do the same with a 4360lb BBC truck with all power, AC, and even cruise that I JUST got into the 6s in the 1/8th with a small kit (I believe the Malibu has been 6.20s in the 1/8th thus far).
I just got the driver for progressive nitrous control and I’m aiming for 6.30s/6.20s🤞🏼
@@RealSteelStreetthe Malibu runs 10.30s on motor bro🤣🤣🤣 on nitrous it runs mid 9s
@@RealSteelStreetruns in the 9s on 1 kit
@@PHILLY214 you’re partially correct, with the newer 421ci it’s been a best of 6.20 in the 1/8th on nitrous…been 10.50s in the 1/4 with Jimmy Dale driving it. I’ve yet to find the 9 sec 1/4 passes BUT I don’t doubt it after finding the 10.50s on motor 💁🏻♂️
Beautiful, well built Chevelle. Nice to see great craftsmanship & such a friendly owner.
My first car was a 68 Malibu (special order) L-79, 4-speed with a 4:11, roll tach, gauge pod. Blue with white interior, black vinyl… 16 years old and didn’t know what I had… went Mopar but appreciate all nice muscle. The 68’s will always be special.. what an incredible machine you have, holy crap is that beautiful !!!
What a gorgeous car. Scotty is a lucky man.
Hell hath no fury like 13 to 1
Real waste of compression!
Nice job bro. That's the baddest 68 I've ever seen. Much respect.
That was a great video. Really nice car and owner. Thank you
Like the owner, I luv ‘68’s and that paint color. Thats one hell of a power train. High maintenance but high power
I am a old time hotrod guy love this guy and his car God bless
This guy knows his stuff... great car
I am interested in the front oil lines. Are you trying to keep the springs oiled? I have a friend who used to run Pro Stock. He has valve covers with small tubes thats squirts oil onto to the springs. Is that similar to what you are doing? Also, the water/alcohol do you spray on the street,? Or, do you spray when you push the car, like at track.? Awesome car! It is funny, I have nearly Identical engine!
I have a 67 El Camino. It is powered by a 632ci and makes 1140hp and 902 lbs torque. It is N/A. Compression is 13.5 :1, and it runs on E85. I don't have a tunnel ram like you but wish I had one to test. Maybe next summer..I am not one to like big blowers sitting out the hood. Tunnel rams, all day long. N/A is more pure.
You can get a Valve cover sprayer gasket for a BBC and really will help springs life. We run the SEERED N/A car on Drag and drive events and spray ours. Also depending on Valve events we run no water there is no need to. Static compression means nothing till the valves close. If you are under 220 lbs on a compression gauge you can run Pump Gas just don't go near peak TQ we stay below 3000 rpm. It just idles down the road at 2300 rpm and goes 65 mph at less than 2% throttle. Over 16 to 1 with over an inch of valve lift 1400hp 7.71 @ 175 on motor at 3250 lbs.
@@jeffmckc2081 DAMN!!
If you had this car you’d be kind of old school cool, but no demon or whatever would ever equal it in anyway!!!!
Was this Chevelle purchased from BC Canada? I'm pretty sure I used to work on it 20 years ago. The paint and Tub Jub looks identical. You've done a nice job with it!!!!
Actually I think it might have been. Check out Scotty's channel and ask him. @Scottys.nutty.68chevelle
Nothing like big blocl sound. 606 is almost twice the size of my small block...😢
Beautiful car!
Funny thing is, if you built your "303" to the exact same level, you'd get proportional horsepower, which is still over 500whp, so like... Might as well ball hard with what you've got!
Boy do I is my father 440 six pak super bee
That's a work of art
Thanks for sharing, love the chevelle.
Wow=Incredible build and the car is a beauty😁✌️
On a prepped drag track this car must feel like you're about to time travel coming off the line. Beautiful car with a gorgeous mill.
This engine NEEDS Amsoil racing oil!
Yeah right on dude
