- CHAPTER 6: FBI JOINS THE INVESTIGATION
In December 2015, the FBI joined the investigation.
"The FBI has a lot more experience, nationwide, investigating serial killer cases than we do, so you know as we look through the evidence with them, maybe just bouncing things off each other will be useful," said Suffolk County Chief of Department Stuart Cameron. "I'm excited about the new partnership with them."
Why did that collaboration not happen for so many years?
"It didn't happen because of politics. We had a police chief in Suffolk County, as well as a DA, that did not seem open to FBI involvement," recalled Kristin Thorne.
Then, on January 16, 2020, police released photos of a belt imprinted with the letters "H-M" or "M-H" to the public.
The belt was found at one of the crime scenes near Gilgo Beach. Police say they believe the belt was handled by the suspect.
Then on February 15, 2022 -- after less than a year on the job -- Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison announced a new task force to investigate the Gilgo Beach murders, bringing investigators from the state, county, and FBI together for the first time, the Gilgo Beach Task Force.

Incompetence only goes so far, it’s hard not to think he’s not somehow involved.
James Burke is a disgrace. He was appointed police commissioner by then District Attornety Thomas Spota who is now in prison for covering up for Burke when he beat up the guy who broke into his police car and stole Burke's duffel bag full of porno tapes and toys. Burke was said to have had sex in his police car with a prostitute who stole his gun. You bet he had a personal interest in keeping the FBI out of the Gilgo case, and I think Spota covered up for him on a lot more than the beating.

So long to ask the experts for help. To Wait till all the evidence is gone? Even other countries call in the fbi for help on some cases sooner than this when they don’t have experience in especially serial killers.
The FBI can be invited by the local police department. But if there is an interstate crime, then FBI are in charge automatically.

Look up Gavin Fish, John Ray, LISK. You will get the full results of the private autopsy and be reminded once again that the water is not deep enough to drown! Remember she is found where her phone pinged after they chased her and her hyoid bone was fractured/strangling style!

It's pretty obvious that Heuermann killed the Gilgo 4, but what about all of the other victims found along that stretch of highway? I wish investigators could give us an answer on those. Some people think that convicted murderer John Bittrolff killed the earlier victims.
to me this was a ring of sordid activities involving well-employed/behind closed doors professional men but this one party took things a step further, hence the reason that all these semi-suspects, older white men, were on the fringes looking in.
They did they're job, and they did it quick.

It is a beautiful Sunny day, hearing your Wife's voice, you look up from whatever you're doing and glance over to where she is Sunbathing and you see that she is talking to the one person that lives in your Street, who neither you, nor anyone else in the Neighbourhood feels any inclination to be acquainted with, he has never made any neighbourly conversation in the past but is now ardently engaging your Sunbathing Wife in Smalltalk as he stands behind your shared backyard Fence, with only his Head visible.........
