Jonny you're such an inspiration man. Whenever I wastch you, you always encourage me to learn new tricks. You make me realize that even kids like you who are so skilled still struggle to learn new tricks. Keep up the good work man!
I remember seeing Rodney doing these crazy darkslide variations and being like wtf?! Ahhh the nineties, our pants were huge and our wheels were barely bigger than our bearings.
I remember back in like 2000 we wanted to learn darkslides so badly, but just couldn't afford to ruin the griptape. Shit had to last, cause we basically had no money.
Whenever a darkslide lands on a rail I feel kinda anxious, as if the board would break in half and the skater would smash his nads against the rail... Another kick-ass video Jonny.
That rotary spinning contraption you showed during the warmup is fucking gold! I love the sound collection. It's perfect to keep the grindy parts interesting and diversified without being to dominant so most people should fall into the "trap" to keep engadged regardles of their music taste. Overall a good video. Btw. that front angle of the landed trick looks smooth af.
Hey Jonny, love your videos. What you're trying to do is actually harder than what Mullen did, in a sense. If you want me to break it down for you let me know. Great video, keep pushing
Jus found this in my suggested. your consistency inspires me an I really enjoy the channel! Also good to see I’m not the only person who does the finger pointer hand movements 👉🏽
You totally got this TRICK man! I feel like you need to give yourself more slide time to set up for the flick off the rail. You totally are skilled enough man! LOVE your videos
Rodney Mullen is who got me into skating. Every time I tried darkslides I noticed heel flipping into it was a lot easier and let me put less pressure on my board when landing on it.
To see a guy triying weird tricks while others are having fun, reminded me why Rodney invented so much stuff... He was the weird guy trying weird things
Always a great day when there's a new Giger vid. Wow. You're still in the US? That's quite the long trip. How you holding up, there, Jonny? Homesick? or still loving the excitement of being a citizen of the world? Did y'all see William Pilz 360 late quituple kickflip, yet? Thanks for putting him on my radar, Jonny. You're both absolute legends.
Hell ya dude. Thats one of many dream tricks of mine. But I gotta acknowledge all of those spin-in, spin-outs Chris does. Love his style. Chrispin McNugget? 😅
Tommy Quinones Good work. I think you might’ve nailed it earlier if you rode the darkslide all the way to the end of the rail just to get the feeling of it. A lot of the times you looked very uncomfortable/unbalanced and in a rush to pop off of the rail. Taking the slide to the end, without actually trying to land wheels land, would’ve given you a better sense of balance. And I could never do this trick anyway.
1:11 Yeah, go ahead and continue to say that nosegrinds and overcrooks are the same thing. That was a god damn nosegrind baby, and an absolutely perfect one at that \m/
You're making me want to learn how to skate. Lol. I used to skate when I was like 9 but broke my deck and my family couldn't afford a new one. Never got back on one.
Seeing the board constantly bending gave me anxiety
haha true 😂
@@JonnyGiger need to add "no boards were harmed during this video" to the credits^^
Skateboard going a little "Woohoo"
Like a good milenial centenial
That cinder block ledge is brilliant!
Yeah I'm going to build one now
I'm glad you pointed that out. Gonna look that up.
Seriously though. Cheap and easy to build. Genius!
Yeah would last forever
Josh Grimm its so good! 😍
Darkslide was invented by the griptape industry
Cold Eyes Productions BIG GRIP
hahahahaha you so funny... not,so shut the fuck up
@@johnywijk7933 im actually rolling on the floor right now. That was so funny 😐
Johny Wijk shut up lame ass bitch
Johny Wijk get out of ur feelings kid
Johnny if you watch the Mullen clip again he does a shovit like motion when he pops out of the dark slide. Maybe this will help you on your exit
exactly what I was thinking. he pulls the nose back so the board is tail-forward about 45 degrees
Ian Rogers thanks for the tip but thats actually what i was trying to do 😌🙏🏼
Rodney just makes it look too easy
@@JonnyGiger Awesome. Keep killin it Johnny!
Hey Jonny Giger! It's great to see a skateboard artist perform their art! Thanks a ton! Ride ride ride!

8:54 Worlds cleanest impossible (In the background)
On a small screen I swore that was a kick flip! Good eye!
Dylan Reider tho. But yeah that was good.
Chris was laying down some great tricks too in the background, but wow Jonny. This is definitely a milestone.
Him trying 10,000 times just goes to show the level where Rodney was at for his time
Rodney also tried and failed numerous times.
jonny giger and chris mcnugget shredding on a spot i havent seen before. this is heaven : )

5:11 would be soooo nice to see a dark tailslide on a rail
Super impossible trick
Whenever a darkslide lands on a rail I feel kinda anxious, as if the board would break in half and the skater would smash his nads against the rail...
Another kick-ass video Jonny.
That was quite beautiful. Rodney does things so perfectly it's amazing to watch.
Sometimes I have dreams that I can do such things. JONNY=GREATNESS

Great lesson, never give up! Awesome board, and seriously well done, got the trick sorted too.

At 4:18 Nugget is looking at Giger like... dude your out of your mind trying that hahaha love it
I’m glad you actually show us bad attempts instead of getting straight into hitting the clip
Jonny... That 360 shuv after the Smith Was sick 🎉😮beautiful
that suspense before johnny actually does the trick is priceless
Hey Jonny, love your videos. What you're trying to do is actually harder than what Mullen did, in a sense. If you want me to break it down for you let me know. Great video, keep pushing
Street genius did it last week, and the way he did look so effortless,

I swear these dudes have the most pleasant vibes
Nice! Seems like it would be quite a bit easier on a more normal-sized flatbar so you'd have more time for the board to flip over on the pop-out.
Whats keeping those cinderblocks from toppling over when they hit it? Thats a great backyard piece right there
The 8 dislikes are from people that will never be able to skate like these guys.
most of the likes too xD
8 disslikes from the rollerkiddies
ChrisMcNugget probably is the first skater that I followed years ago. It's exciting watching both of you skating in that place
I love how no link is in the describtion in any shout out anyone ever does lol.
Sick tricks Jonny. Already sub Chris :)
I applaud your challenge.RODNEY MULLREN will love it. Have a good day.

Man you guys make a great team both have so much style. Who was the guy who blunt stalled the pole jam.
Rodney was my fav when i was into it 👍👍 sick tricks and genuine nice guy
I've honestly seen it before in my hometown 15 years ago by some local skateboarders, amazing trick!
Props. I can do it on ledges but I’ll never try it on a rail ever ever ever lol.
I really enjoyed the clips of Chris in the practice montage to change it up a bit from time to time. Keep up the good work! :)
Hell ya dude. Thats one of many dream tricks of mine.

Awesome, Johnny! Also, Chris is phenomenal.
Hi again from Sydney Australia,
G'day Jonny as usual you kick-ass lol Mcnuggit pretty good as well lol
that board springs, so it looks hard to stay steady when sliding and get ready to exit clear
Nice one Johnny. Noticed Chris's channel wasn't in comments though lol
Yay i have been waiting So long for one of your videos

Jonny what is that song you use by Simiux? I’ve listened to every song I can find by them and I can’t find that one
Yes! I love this series!!!
I like your buddies Pokemon grip tape on his board that's dope
Are you still in the states Johnny?❓
This diy is better than any of my parks:(
I like the fact that everyone is casually skating around without even realizing the legendary proportion of this! Lol kind of sad
That is some impressive grip tape on Chris’ board.
2:50 that shit is awsome
Also the bunt fakke on the pole jam
This dude is like a mythbusters of skateboard
