I bought mine for $400 on their website because they put it on sale often. Also the Rift S and the Quest 2 are no longer being made so that's not fair.
I purchased this VR headset a couple of months ago and ended up returning it. I found the same negative issues as you described and in addition my prescription eye glasses were so close to the lenses I was afraid I would end up scratching both of them. The EPVR E4 head set was hot in my forehead. The visuals were not clear in my experience. I flew the PMDG B737 and I had a hard time reading the instruments and the CDU in particular. I would not recommend this headset at $299.00 let alone $600. I bought the HP Reverb G2 v2 after returning the DPVR E4 and the HP head set was almost $200 cheaper, far more comfortable, better and clearer view, better quality, just better over all. Windows 11, Intel Core i7 13700K paired with an RTX 3080 12GB and DDR4 4000MHz
I see what looks like Thrustmaster Cougar MFD's as part of your setup. Can I ask what monitors did you use for them? I have a set in my closet and never used them, but if I had monitors like yours I would be all in.
Near the CPU? Dude, it's called a computer or PC. The CPU is a small part in your PC. When you want someone to place something near you, do you say, "Put in next to my spleen" or, "Put it next to me"?

I'm looking for something better than a G2 but still with a reasonable price tag (less than USD 1000) but honestly, I can't find anything.
Great info, I've never heard of this brand until now. My *only* gripe is your choice in aircraft does not in any way match your flight controls. 😢

Been building my computers for 20 years... yes I know.. I misspoke lol...
@@OverkillSimulations Yeah, I know, me too (24 years now), but some people still call CPU to the PC Case/Tower.
I'm about to unsubscribe. This is turning into a product pitch channel as opposed to being about playing flight simulator.
Product pitch?? I advised against purchasing it..
