Absolutely agree, Just heard from an author that 'stored cultural capital' helps to keep society in shape and making progress... without a base everything falls apart

“Only a small number of people know history”. Are you kidding me? A nation where we cannot go past thinking of Doctor and Engineer, where colleges and universities are not academically well-equipped in form of competent professors and research options, then how will you be able to teach people history or even influence a person to think of taking it as a future career option. I would request AIMA to maybe invite someone like a Ram Guha, Romila Thapar, Sughata Bose or Rajmohan Gandhi to speak abt History, it’s importance and how to approach historiography

You for real sir? 😂 I read your comments and there's so many blindsides to your opinion (or counter view), there's so many areas you're being short sighted about and there's so much that can be debunked on the basis of your comment and any conversation that would follow.

A piece of advice, no NGO enforces, they do not have the power to do so. All they use is the power of the pen to make an important case. You are basically saying that we are being manipulated, and if that is the case, why don’t you improve the quality of education? The you’ll have an educated lot that can think independently. Or you just want to do this drama to push an alternative agenda in the name of rewriting history?

@@gamarouge2566 if you want to recognise someone for their work, then it’s fine. However if it’s coming at the expense of undermining or demeaning someone, then there is an issue. I’m not doubting Mr. Sanyal educational prowess, but this alternative agenda where facts are being twisted is concerning.

Why don't you read Jadunath Sarkar, Vikram sampath, j sai deepak or Sanyal himself, then have the balls to challenge them on facts.
BTW the left historians you've named haven't had the balls to dispute anything which they have written and are writing.
