Huge admiration for Mr Sanjeev Sanyal for gracefully putting the NGO lady in her place.

I have many problems with previous governments, but what is the use of discussing the security failures of Indira Gandhi when we can't do anything about it today. So concentrate on the government in power- whoever they are.

I disagree with you, Govt. do wants to publicize it but you must have noticed the question put by the attendees about mental strain after demonetisation and buffalo meat export, I am not saying that these questions aren't important but whatever this govt. does people will only see it with their biases and questions like these are unnecessarily put up.
It's not perfect. My father is a bankrupt businessman but hasn't filed the company under IBC.. If you go this route you can never hold a high position in any company.. My dad wanted to start the business again so he didn't file under IBC

@@satyabodhmutgi1287 Amit Mitra is a great one too. GST was literally his brainchild. Although he was vehemently against the timing of its implementation. So much so that he refused to attend the meeting in delhi when all finance ministers of other states had gone. Jaitley had infact mentioned him in that conference when it was rolled out.
Mitra warned about the drawbacks of implementing GST at that time and turns out his prophecy did turn out true. His warning is still available in an interview with NDTV after he refused to go. All things he said have now become true. Amazing economist and finance minister. Probably one of the intelligent members of old TMC.

Sanjeev Sanyal is the best person to become the FM of India. I use his videos to counter liberal narrative that BJP has done nothing for the economy. Hats off to NDA for clearing the fiscal mess that UPA created during their regime. And yes looking at the standards of bongs going down, as a fellow bong I look upto Sanjeev as a huge mark of respect. This man will be an asset for Modi post jaitley era. Foreign diplomacy has jaishankar, Security has doval, internal security has Amit shah. All are jewels in the cabinet, only piece missing is the economy. Sanjeev can be as good as the other 3 in economics.

Shekhar Gupta admitted in the first minute that he had opposed Sanjeev's nomination to the World Economic Forum as he was in a "monitoring" role for people of Indian origin. I wonder what the reasons could be that were hopefully rational and justified.

this interview is basically, be critical of the gov't, i can't comment on that. otherwise we're doing a good job.
Anyone can be critical of the government. But India, like any other nation, engages in party politics and not personal politics. As a party, there must be party discipline. Inferiors speaking ill of the superiors is the surest way of losing order. The Congress party are far more strict on party politics than the BJP ever could hope to be if you actually study the history. The INC party seems very authoritarian, if not tyrannical, in that respect. In Sanjeev's case, he's only choosing not to speak ill about Arun Jaitley's retrospective tax, primarily because it is being done for political reasons and definitely not economic reasons.

Along with that, any cow sacrifice in any Id festival should be banned. @@sadenb btw Cow is not suppose to be sacrificed on EID, also many Muslims believe that if the sentiments of hindus are heart by eating beef than it is prohibited for us to eat. But here the issue is not about eating but rather an economic one. Today farmers are crying over how cows are ruining their fields and many more. What I say is that IF COW is sacred built worship places specially where cows are there so people can go and worship them. Don't you think its sad when cows roam around on road eating plastic, as an animal lover I am ashamed of myself as a member of this society

I don't agree with Shekhar on terrorist attacks. I live in Hyd. Towards the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014 there were bomb blasts in Hyd. Hyd used to see such attacks and riots atleast once in two years prior to 2014. Now it's been 10 yrs and it has been significantly peaceful.
Sad to see one of my favorite authors, Sanjeev Sanyal, brush over crushing failure of GST. GST is a continuing disaster. Most exporters have huge monies stuck up with govt, and govt servants demand huge bribes to clear even refunds that are due for over a year! I know many small exporters who shut exports business.
Then why the current GST collections are growing consistently?

Gupta says he is critical of the govt. every govt. so then wtf dont you just run it or become an advisor if you have all the answers. Criticizing everything doesn’t make you smart
If hospital /police stations can remain open for 24hrs ,why not courts.also why not attach all courts be attached with Law colleges as in case with medical institutions.this will expose law students to the real world of judiciary and can help and learn in preparing cases...this will certainly increase the number of cases solved and very few students will leave the profession....judges too can be part of teaching process as medical students are presented with pt care
