This is not "buttermilk". This is just "diluted curd". Buttermilk(chhaach in hindi) is the watery high protein white matter left behind after the butter making process from the curd/fermented cream.
This is not buttermilk , but rather water diluted curd , almost like liquid raita. For buttermilk the curd needs to be churned untill the butter gets seperated and also the curd should be a bit old or else it won't have the sour touch of it. 😅

Madam is using Dal crusher for buttermilk churner. they look same but churner has bottom with edges, not perfect round.
