Madame gao and the other guy died at the end of defenders buried alive, daredevil only escaped coz electra pushed him through a sewer pipe or some contrived Sh&£ lol
I agree with your controversial placement for Agatha, since she didn’t feel any remorse for Alice’s death which proved that she was not redeemed, even though she clearly has a consistent soft spot for children. I feel that Bill Foster talking ghost out of kidnapping Cassie was a heroic enough act to make him redeemed.
Yeah, I do think Agatha has some good in her, but it keeps getting overridden by her selfishness. And that's a good point on Bill Foster. Thanks for sharing that idea!
6:54 It's weird to see Punisher and Elektra in different categories since both are anti-heroes willing to kill their enemies. Not only that, but they also assisted Daredevil in defeating the Hand.
Good point! So I moved Elektra to reformed as she stopped killing. Punisher, however, is still killing, making him anti-hero, which the "on probation" category is also representing.
4:38 I'm curious why you count Dr. List in The Winter Soldier, but leave out Baron Strucker until 5:59 when discussing Age of Ultron. They both appeared in the same post-credits scene.
This channel remains go-to viewing for the MCU fan who loves to deep dive. Thanks for all the incredible work you pour into your incredibly analytical and engaging material!
I love this video and I love your concepts of how to differentiate the good, probation, etc. to keep everything making sense and simplifying marvel’s more messy work, regarding their storytelling and clarity at the moment.
You should probably create categories for resurrected villains, heroes who face-turned into villains, and amoral cosmic entities like Arishem and Death
I don’t think it’s fair to call Ralph a villain in wandavision since he was under mind control, since by that standard Hawkeye and selvig would be villains in the first avengers movie.
Good point about Fietro. I mean, he definitely was an adversary, but he was also under Agatha's control. In the case of Hawkeye and Selvig, we had met them previously, so we knew they were good. But Fietro was a mystery until that finale, so it makes him very tricky.
I would classify The Illuminati in Multiverse of Madness as villains because 1. They are directly opposing that film’s protagonist and 2. They commit the crime of shattering fan expectations and basically ruining the movie.
lol! Yeah, they did indeed ruin expectations. I have them listed in the next video under heroes that have died, but you raise some good points about them being villains!
Plus in the original plans for the movie they were a lot more morally flawed. Even revealing that Professor X did a lobotomy-esque procedure on 838 Wanda to prevent her from fully harnessing her abilities.
Being on the opposite side of the protagonist does not make them villains, but rather antagonists. Usually the antagonist is also a villain, but this is not the case. Just like, for example, Iron Man was the antagonist of Civil War, but not a villain.
Love the breakdown. These end of the year videos that you’ve been doing definitely help me keep track of everything that’s been going on in the MCU. But, honestly, how many of the still alive villains (including the reformed and on probation ones) do you realistically expect Marvel to bring back in a movie or tv show?
Good question...yeah, I suspect we won't see too many of the alive villains return. We might see some of them, but probably not very many. Marvel likes to throw new villains our way for the most part. Love that Kingpin has returned 5 times though. With DD: BA he'll set an MCU record at 6!
The “Age of Ultron” felt more like the “Weekend of Ultron.” I wish Ultron had been given more screen time; James Spader had such a powerful and menacing voice. I wished Ultron had more evolutions and machinations for the Avengers to fight against because it often takes the Avengers a rather long time to defeat Ultron in the comics. Maybe Ultron isn’t a “Phase X villain” but he could have used a two-part set of movies.
I agree...Ultron was a good villain in Age of Ultron, but he was gone waaaaaay to sson. Although, I do hear rumblings that he could return again, so I'd be down for that!
22:54 Speaking of Miss Minutes. She never appeared in Deadpool and Wolverine. So how are we feeling about that What if interactive end credit. Is it canon? Or maybe it's post Deadpool and Wolverine?
Good point! Yeah, that's all the more reason I'm thinking it isn't canon. I did this video on my thoughts about whether it was canon or not when the game came out: th-cam.com/video/226PJan9h_M/w-d-xo.html. And you are right that the lack of Miss Minutes in the movie makes it all the less likely that it's canon.
Another great vid, Bit, Props. I've recently heard Kaecilius may come back next time we see Dormamu and be his primary agent of evil. Also, I know we didn't see Collector's body in Inf War but Gee it left you with his death vibe. Then again, I'm not sure you can kill the Collector or the Grandmaster either. Fate up in the air. Not sure HWR is really dead since he always has a resurrection plan, but you're right all the Kangs will probably get decimated by Doom. 👍
That would be wild to see Kaecilius return. I'd be down for that. And yeah, hard to say if you can kill the Collector and Grandmaster. They also seemed to imply he was alive since in Guardians Holiday Special when they talk about buying Knowhere off of the Collector.
There has to be a point in time when the Villain wins in a movie. Not necessarily Thanos like... but maybe let the Hero know what it's like to be beaten. Especially by a major villain. Pretty soon there won't be any villains of importance left. Unless of course, they do the whole multiverse thing over and over again.
It would be cool to see an adaptation of Kraven's Last Hunt. He definitely won in that situation for quite awhile. What an amazing story. I also love the storyline where the Masters of Evil attack Avengers Mansion and take control for several issues. Great story!
I might say, for X-Men '97, I think it's worth it to add Madelyne, The Adversary, Henry Gyrich and Boliver Trask. All of them had important roles in the show and just as many episodes as X-Cutioner
So...good news and bad news... Bad news first: You didn't come up on the random drawing for November Good news: I haven't heard back from one of the previous winners in over 60 days, so you are the alternate winner for that month! Reach out view my discord or email (both are on my about page) and I'll get your book to you right away!
So it's abit murky right now. The fact that Netflix shows were added to the Disney+ timeline and yet things like Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD aren't there yet seems to indicate that Marvel is not considering them sacred timeline canon. But hopefully they will pull them into the timeline at some point down the road.
I have two comments about Iron Fist: I would put both Meachel siblings as villains in the first season. While Ward is reformed still in season one, Joy shows that she has bad intentions in one of the final scenes of that season. Second, you didn't count Steel Serpent in the second season - 12:34. The count only increased by two numbers for Joy and Mary.
Good feedback. I was really torn on Joy and Ward in season 1. I mean, they were a real pain the butt to Danny, but they also didn't trust that he was telling the truth. But perhaps I should make them both villainous. As for Steel Serpent, he had the red square around him in season 2, since he was already in the count from his season 1 appearance. Thanks for watching the vid and sharing all your thoughts on it. Really appreciate it!
It was fun to track these villains through all the phases of the MCU. But it's kinda confusing early on when I can see that you're leaving a character's status the way it is as of the movie you're talking about, when we know what it eventually becomes -- for example, leaving Yondu and Bohner being on probation and I'm thinking, "Wait, but they become reformed... oh I see, you're not there yet." Yet you classify Sterns and Sitwell as villains way before we learn that they are Hydra. But obviously there's just a LOT to keep track of here! It totally makes sense that a lot of reformed villains would immediately end up dead, because (and I feel like I may have said this on your State of Villainy video last year) their villainous position often dictates that the only way they can redeem themselves is by sacrificing their own lives to save others. Perhaps not necessarily just due to moral obligation, but just their unfortunate predicament that had turned them into villains in the first place. (Consider Skurge, for instance, whom Hela would have certainly killed if he hadn't pledged his loyalty to her, so he became a villain just to save his own life. And at the end, he really only had two choices: stealthily escape and save his own life as a villain, or die a hero.) Side note: This was the first time I've had to skip parts of your video, because I'm currently watching stuff for the first time -- namely Daredevil and Jessica Jones!
Great points about the status of villains early on. So it was a tough call on whether to refer to Sitwell and Stern as villainous or not, since they hadn't revealed they were bad until Winter Soldier. But they were actually evil in those earlier appearances and were just hiding it. If you think I should remove them until they actually reveal they are bad, I could do that. But Yondu and Bohner were listed as villains in their first appearance since they hadn't turned good yet. Love your point about why so many villains give their life in sacrifice. I think you nailed it! And I'm glad you were able to dodge the Daredevil and Jessica Jones parts. You'll really love those series. Sooooo good!
@@AbitofEverything4U That's a good point, that there's a distinction between "villains who were villains but we didn't know it yet" and "villains who were still villains but would be reformed later". The Hydra agents revealed in Winter Soldier were more of a unique situation, so I guess it doesn't really matter if you categorize them as villains when they were first introduced or when they got revealed to be villains, as long as you're consistent with it, which you were in this video. Yeah, at this point I've finished DD S1 and JJ S1, and just started DD S2. Haven't decided how much more I'll actually watch, though at the very least will try to watch all three seasons of DD before March.
That's a great way of summarizing it the situation with Hydra! And I think watching the other DD seasons, as well as Defenders (it ties into DD Season 3, but ig you could skip it) are all you need to watch. But for bonus points, Punisher Season 1 is fun just to get to see more of Frank
Really sad that we never got a Avengers vs Masters of evil, super hero group vs super villain group is such a classic superhero trope that we never had properly in a movie, would have been amazing to have this maybe in between Age of Ultron and Civil War or as the introduction of the new avengers in phase 4/5
Technically I would put Agatha in Dead and Reformed. Yeah I guess as a ghost she is still active but since she is outside of Death's grip, that is probably why you don't list her as Dead so I see your point!
Yeah, Agatha broke the mold...no surprise, eh? I mean, she's dead, but she's still around. Craziness. Maybe I need to update "alive" to be "alive or a pesky ghost". lol!
11:23 I would include Karl Malus and Leslie Hansen as villains in Jessica Jones season 2 right? I haven’t seen it for a while so I could be wrong. But yeah they both don’t make it out of it, so it’s not like it matters that much. 16:20 Also, would he who remains technically be a variant? Idk 19:19 I mean I personally would have Wanda as a full on villain, by either Wandavision or MoM, I mean she was the main villain of the movie. But yeah those are just some thoughts. Super great job on the video tho man, I love these state of villainy videos so much!
Great feedback! I wondered about Karl Malus and Leslie Hansen, too. I'll go back and look at their stories more closely. Karl seemed to be trying to do the right thing out of love, but it was still misguided, so perhaps I should add them both. And that's a great question about HWR. I've been assuming he's the Kang version for 616, but I could be wrong on that.
@ oh ok, yeah that could be for he who remains. It would make sense for why he chose 616 as the sacred timeline. Yeah I was just confused because of victor timely, but he was planted there right? And yeah what are your thoughts about Wanda being villain status at least once post Wandavision/MoM?
Right...I think Victor was planted there as a sleeper agent in case HWR was killed. And as for Wanda, it feels like she might have moved out of villain status by destroying the Darkholds and destroying Mt. Wundagore. But I suspect we'll have to keep her on probation until we see what she does upon her return.
For me, I'd be most excited for the potential returns of Mordo (both the Sacred Timeline and Illuminati variant versions), Red Skull (what does an evil being turned recently unemployed pseudo- cosmic character do now) and the Greek Pantheon... those to me have the most story potential (apart from Leader who we already know is coming back). Also, i think it would be nice for Death to have multiple forms so we can have different actors or CGI forms portraying the character across the cosmos, so it wouldn't be "Rio"/Plaza playing her every time.
What a fun little breakdown of the villains ... I love when you do these. Speaking of Shades ... still weird seeing his actor in the Penguin series. It is implied Gao and Elektra died but Daredevil comes back in his third season ... so we probably have to assume Elektra will return. Also I always assumed the Collector was unalived by Thanos considering he had the Reality Stone and we know he decimated Xandar. Was about to say you made a mistake on Classic Loki but then you corrected his status. I actually don't think you call Ammit unalived given being a God but she was also sealed into her host ... it's a weird situation. Also didn't Executioner get unalived? I could see Hela return if Marvel ever leans into the whole rebirth aspect of Asgardians. Still think it's funny you include the piece of Venom goo that may or may not even exist in 616 having a state of villainy. But yes I think they unalive too many villains.
Yeah, it was weird including Shades in the vid after Penguin. lol! As for Elektra, in DD S3, they mention they never found her body, so I'm assuming she could still be alive. I wonder if she was planned to return if there had been a S4? I'm hoping the Collector is alive, but I realize that could be copium. I was thinking I showed the Executioner as unalived? I'd be so down for Hela to return and I'd gladly say I was wrong on her.
Well technically, Agatha died, and I wouldn’t call ghost form ressurection. It is a special case since we are likely to see her again and characters considered dead are the ones we assume we won’t see again. I understand probation but ehhhhh technically dead.
Yeah, Agatha makes everything so complicated, doesn't she? I should call her dead, but then again, she's still around and even in ghost form, she seemed to learn how to interact with the real world by picking up her brooch. Darn you Agatha...why are you making this so difficult! lol!
14:00 Not gonna lie, I'm so used to people calling her *Trish* Walker in this series that it slightly throws me off to hear you call her Patsy instead. It's similar to when AoS fans still refer to Daisy as Skye.
"willing to kill" making someone on probation means that every hero accept for Spider-Man, Daredevil, maybe one or two other heros would be in that category. That is not a good metric for marvel characters, they are all killers.
Good point! I should have been more clear that most heroes try not to kill and they feel bad if it happens. An anti-hero is more than willing to kill and has no remorse about it. Punisher takes pride in killing a mob boss, for instance. That's what makes him an anti-hero rather than a straight up hero.
Yeah, such a hard call on death. I mean, none of us want to die, so in that regard, death is a major villain. But you're right that death isn't malicious. It's just what death does.
@hoomanplaysgames What was so wild was how vindictive she was against Agatha. That's why it was harder to know what to do with her at least Agatha All Along's series.
I continue to hold out hope that one day Klaw will return and become his more comic accurate version where he's actually living sound inside a containment suit/robot body.
19:11 I’m not entirely sure that this strange is dead. The eyeball on prime Strange’s forehead could imply that he’s being possessed by this strange at the end
Seeing Venom Goo get his own square made me laugh way more than it should have 🤣 There ended up more alive then I was expecting, though still so many villains I wish we could have seen more of. The one I most wish was still alive is Wenwu- either as a villain or reformed, I really wanted at least one more movie with him 😢 Thank you so much for putting together all these recap videos!!! I forget so much of what’s happened, and these are such a useful reminder! Though oh my gosh, there are so many characters to go through and keep track of… I don’t know how you do it 😨 Thank you for all your hard work! 😊
lol...yeah, the goo getting a square cracked me up as well. But I don't want to tick that little fella off. Don't want him coming after me! And thanks so much for the kind words about the vid. I really appreciate it!
I think White Power Dave from the All Hail the King short could count as being from a separate universe because though the actor who plays him, Matt Gerald also plays Melvin Potter in Daredevil, the principle still applies.
19:08 I guess that Wanda destroying every copy of the Darkhold throughout the Multiverse and potentially sacrificing herself in the process is not enough to consider her reformed.
I do believe Zola would still be alive in the current mcu 616 timeline. He can’t be absolutely 100% ruled out because in what if they went into how there was another backup after the one we saw in winter soldier that was placed in the same lab as civil war with the dead super soldiers. A lot of room for him to come back in his full form.
Great video! I may be in the minority, but I like that Marvel kills some villains and heros, even though they were great. The thing I hate the most about comics is that there are no stakes, since nobody stays dead or leaves the status quo, and I truly think this doesn’t work in other media. Imagine how much less impactful Thanos would’ve been if he just stayed alive chilling somewhere waiting to be a villain again. Stories need to end! Arcs must be closed! If we want to see these characters again, may it be as a reboot or alternate universe, but keep what we loved before intact
Always a good day when you post man! Quick question, out of all the upcoming mcu projects up to the end of next year, which one are you most looking forward to?
Good question. I'll do a ranking of the upcoming projects I'm most excited for during my year-end slate update. Should be fun! And thanks so much for the positive feedback on the vids. I truly appreciate it!
I was wondering if you would possibly do a video on The Void from Deadpool 3 and Loki I think it’s gonna play in big in Secret Wars instead of it taking place on battle world
Good question! So we actually don't know. Marc Spector threw a Crescent Blade at Mogart's back, incapacitating him as he cried out in pain while riding away. I suspect he would have returned in season 2 of the show (assuming we get one) if the actor hadn't died. So since we don't see the body, I've left him as alive, but I have to wonder if Marvel will just consider him dead at this point.
Great video but I think there’s two mistakes you made: 1. Kazi is absolutely dead, didn’t Echo confirm it? either way the mcu wiki leaves him dead. Being stabbed and bleeding out certainly seems like something that would lead to being dead. Maybe if he was in echo I’d say it’s fair to assume he’s not, but he wasn’t there. 2. Very minor but why are the werewolf by night villains in the non human secondary villains? They’re definitely humans right?
Good feedback! 1. I don't think Echo confirmed Kazi's death, but I'm leaning your direction on it and will likely change him over to dead, since the wiki listed him that way. 2. Yeah, I should have said that those hunters were human, but were creepy enough they deserved to be with the aliens. lol!

It'd be nice to know if the villains in no way home were sent back to their timelines and things still happen the same or if it changes things in the tobey/Andrew universes or if perhaps its a branched timeline. either way id love to see them again.
I agree...I'd love to know that answer. My gut feeling is that it created a branch, since the events of the second and third Tobey Spider-Man movies would be greatly impacted by Green Goblin not dying, as an example.
Damage control hunting over the old law which is why Luke cage from their show and the Young Avengers: Kamala getting a probation probably calls out the heroes for hire
17:46 Kazi does die, he forces Maya to kill him. Edit: Never mind, you mentioned it. And fair point, we didn’t see a confirmation. But I assumed he died.
Yeah, I assumed he was dead for a long time. But when I saw that the wiki didn’t count him as dead it did make me start to wonder if I was incorrect on that.
Man i wish Zola got his weird robot body with computer face that would work alongside Von Strucker running modern day hydra. They completely wasted AIM that could’ve been a match for shield and the hydra spy twist inside shield was cool but i wish we got more hydra instead of them all being killed off after ultron
Yeah, it's a bummer we've lost all the evil organizations. AIM, Hydra, and now it seems even Damage Control has vanished. Would be cool to see a team-up of several villains working with the Leader to create an team like the Masters of Evil.
I know I've said this before, but we didn't see Raza's body in the first Iron Man. His men all died for sure and I don't think we'll ever see Raza again so it doesn't really matter, but I would put him at least in the same category as Kazi from Hawkeye. Anyways, LOVE these videos!
Wouldn’t that be cool to have Raza come back after all this time. That would be epic. But wouldn’t it be kind of shocking for Stane not to make sure he was dead? I mean, leaving him alive runs the risk that the 10 rings come after Stane at some point and there just doesn’t seem to be any reason to take that risk. But I do agree that we don’t know for sure.
I love these videos because they refresh your memory. There are so many characters to remember, and sometimes it's just too much lol! I adore how much of a rat Madame Gao is; she simply weasles her way out of everything, and I'm still praying that she returns somehow! Strangely, she's in my top 5 MCU characters of all time. She's simply the GOAT 😤🔥
Man I really need to rewatch the Netflix stuff, I don't even remember some of these guys. And I don't like that Mysterio is considered dead. He needs to come back, it feels like it was left ambiguous enough for him to be able to return because if he dies, it feels more like Spider-Man's fault, especially since Peter didn't even try to make sure he was alright or needed help, which feels too dark for Pete at this time in the MCU. We need Jake Gyllenhaal to come back! What if he knows something's up with Spider-Man? That he knew he ousted his identity, but can't remember how he knew it or who he is, why nobody else knows either. He then looks to see what other people have been wronged by Spider-Man and starts to form the Sinister Six to take him down. He even has followers in the world that believe he was a hero, so it may not even be that hard to get hired hands to built illusions in order to get the big names like Scorpion and Shocker, nab the Tinkerer to build their tech, have Kingpin supply the funds and materials, there's potential to do something really cool.
I personally dont think they kill too many villians, i dont love a "returning villian" if that villian wasnt victorious before their "disappearance" Marvel has so many great villians both already incorporated with unfinished stories and waiting to be revealed
It's been a long time since I've watched, but did I miss Hela being confirmed dead? Sry if that's a dumb question, but I don't remember ever seeing a body, or hearing anyone confirm it?
Great question! So, my thought is that Ragnarok is the foretold destruction of Asgard. So, after Surtur thrusts his blade straight thru Hela and deep into Asgard, it resulted in Asgard ultimately exploding as Thor and the others watched from afar. Korg's line was played for humor, but definitely indicated that he and the others assumed Asgard was completely destroyed, which I assume killed both Surtur and Hela. That said, I think your question is a fair one and we don't know 100% for sure that Hela is dead, but the evidence seems to lend itself towards her perishing. Let me know what you think. And thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Good question...I should have mentioned that I'm taking her out of the villain category since she was rebooted and seemed to be nice now. But I just don't trust her, so I'm keeping her on probation for now.
Good question...it was after he showed up in Agatha. Was I perhaps to generous to call him reformed? I wanted to give him credit for helping out William and Eddie.
Is the collector not dead cuz we didn’t see his body or ur counting the what if version? Cuz in infinity war. When he was clapping saying “magnificent” lol. That was an illusion. I’m sure thanos merked that boy.
Totally agree! The Collector is alive as far as I can tell and we even get some nice evidence of the fact in the Guardians Holiday special, as they mention purchasing Knowhere off of the Collector.
Yeah, that scene in Morbius is so painful. But I do wonder if ATSV tried to correct it by implying that it was really the collider event that pulled him into Morbius' universe and Miguel helped return him back to 616.
Correct! And he was imprisoned in Harrow, who was then killed. So I'm theorizing that Ammit was killed at that point. But definitely let me know if you don't agree. It was abit of a leap of logic on my part, I agree.
@ i feel like a god cant die that easily, like when mark was killed or about to die Khonshu saved him, the only way khonshu was stopped was imprisonment in that figure . I think the egyptian pantheon realized she was evil and sealed her away again
I do think you could have added the Deadpool Corp. as villains since they had a fairly big moment in the movie, but that's okay. As far as villains I wish lived longer, I would say Supreme Intelligence (cut down way too quick), Ellen Brandt (really would have liked to see her interact with Man-Thing), and He Who Remains (he is still the most interesting of the Kangs in my opinion).
Is there a reason why you did captain america the first avenger captain marvel and loki season 2 in timeline order and a lot in release order (What If and the Netflix shows)
I mention it briefly at the beginning of the video, but the year when I put the prequel movies in release order, it was unbelievably confusing. Because you had Ronan and Korath, for example, appearing in guardians of the Galaxy and dying, and then showing up in Captain Marvel alive. It just made the overall video very confusing
No problem… Yeah, it made things a lot easier to keep track of the villains when those prequel movies weren’t messing with me. Black widow was also a little strange because Ross was appearing out of order.
Oh yeah… I have seen that now that you mention it. But I think that Feige has the final say and so if he decides to make ATSV canon into the MCU, then I agree, that could very well be the 616 prowler. Otherwise, it could just be a variant, which also works really well.
Yep, smart play by Yondu...but ofc that would have likely resulted in an untold number of deaths, so I still consider him on probation due to only caring about the money. That said, he definitely redeemed himself in GotG Vol 2.

You either die a villain, or live long enough to see yourself become a reformed cadaver
~ Marvel Writers (probably)
lol! Yep…That about sums it up!
Good catch! I need to add Strucker in Winter Soldier!
This channel remains go-to viewing for the MCU fan who loves to deep dive. Thanks for all the incredible work you pour into your incredibly analytical and engaging material!
Thanks so much. Really appreciate you saying that!

0:58 wow I didnt realize it's been a year, you deserve it! Always love watching your videos
Can't believe a year has passed. Craziness. And thanks for your awesome support!
I love this video and I love your concepts of how to differentiate the good, probation, etc. to keep everything making sense and simplifying marvel’s more messy work, regarding their storytelling and clarity at the moment.
Thanks! Yeah, I love trying to categorize everything as it makes it easier for me to visualize it all.
Always happy to support and be part of this community!
You rock! Hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving!
@@AbitofEverything4U thanks but we don't celebrate thanksgiving here in germany 😅 hope you had a good time tho!
Oh wow...I don't think I realized you're in Germany. How cool! I need to visit there sometime.
@@AbitofEverything4U that would very cool!

You’re feeding us good with content. Love it. Congrats on 21k 🎉
Thanks! Really appreciate that!
But they are still overall classified as heroes overall despite opposing the protagonist in multiverse of madness.
Antagonists≠villains
Being on the opposite side of the protagonist does not make them villains, but rather antagonists. Usually the antagonist is also a villain, but this is not the case. Just like, for example, Iron Man was the antagonist of Civil War, but not a villain.
I'm happy to be a supporter! Love your content Man!
Thanks so much...you've been an amazing supporter over the years!
So many villains! Would love to see a video of potential villains and heroes you’d want to see at some point! Love these videos
Definitely, would love to see that.
Oh, now that's a cool video idea!
17:50 Some mistakes in this video too. Echo kills Kazi. Did you forget?
David Tennant as Kilgrave is possibly the most underrated villain of all time.
Love Killgrave...dude was terrifying!
JESSICA!
@MstrChamberlain5 Soooo chilling!
Well Kaecillius is returning to the MCU, though most likely as a multiversal variant in What If season 3 next month.
@iraford5788 Yeah, that should be a fun episode!
Good point! Man, we had some great villains in that season!
Binging your new videos on Black Friday!

its wild that over 2 years later there still isnt a HD image of Hercules
ikr? I hate having to use that terrible image of him. Ugh!
What about the other tv shows? Like Carter and Agents of Shield. Or do they not count in the MCU anymore?
So it's abit murky right now. The fact that Netflix shows were added to the Disney+ timeline and yet things like Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD aren't there yet seems to indicate that Marvel is not considering them sacred timeline canon. But hopefully they will pull them into the timeline at some point down the road.
I have two comments about Iron Fist:
I would put both Meachel siblings as villains in the first season.
15:08 this video must be a bit old/outdated, whaddya mean if ralph shows up in agatha all along haha
edit: should've watched the rest of the video lol
Yeah, good point...I should have said WHEN he shows up. Oops!
Love the videos!
Thanks! Truly appreciate your support of the channel!!
And at the end, he really only had two choices: stealthily escape and save his own life as a villain, or die a hero.)
Side note: This was the first time I've had to skip parts of your video, because I'm currently watching stuff for the first time -- namely Daredevil and Jessica Jones!
I agree, we really need a super villain team and Masters of Evil would have been perfect!
Idk
19:19 I mean I personally would have Wanda as a full on villain, by either Wandavision or MoM, I mean she was the main villain of the movie.
Those are great suggestions for characters to see return again. Really want more Red Skull!
Darn you Agatha...why are you making this so difficult! lol!
20:02 The MCU version of Frog-Man uses the codename Leapfrog.
20:45 That is actually Namora, who is Namorita's mother in the comics.
Great catches! Sorry about those mistakes. And thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. Really appreciate it!
14:00 Not gonna lie, I'm so used to people calling her *Trish* Walker in this series that it slightly throws me off to hear you call her Patsy instead. It's similar to when AoS fans still refer to Daisy as Skye.
lol! Very true...yeah, I should probably call her Trish. She wouldn't like being called Patsy, I suspect.
The main dead MCU villain that I wish was still alive was Killmonger
I agree… Killmonger is one of the best villains for sure!
Great summary!
I’d love for Hela, Thanos and Killmonger to return most. :)
Excellent choices!
24:47 maybe like 1/2 an X for Agatha? I mean… she IS dead.
Good point...yeah, I may need a "dead but back as a ghost" category!
26:06 Arthur Harrow, wasting a basically 3ish hour arc for a villain in a post credit scene is brutal work.
Yeah, that was a tough way to go for him. Such a great villain. Sigh.
That's what makes him an anti-hero rather than a straight up hero.
i really feel like trevor slattery shouldn’t be considered reformed until shang chi, since he never did anything heroic without being forced to.
Yeah, I think that's fair. I mean, he did the right thing in IM 3, but it was mostly out of fear.
You missed I am Groot, 2 villains i can think of off the top of my head are the snowman and Iwua the bubble thing
Yeah, I really do need to add that snowbot. That thing was awesome!
Wouldn't Von Strucker go under the Winter Soldier slide since he was in the scene with Dr. List? Small nitpick. Great video
Oops...great catch...I'll fix that for next year!
I think I’d call death an anti-hero/on probation.
Yeah, such a hard call on death. I mean, none of us want to die, so in that regard, death is a major villain. But you're right that death isn't malicious. It's just what death does.
@@AbitofEverything4U yea, it’s just her job, as she puts it, death is the natural order of all things
Oh, now that would be very cool. I'd be down for that!
Those boxes sure came in handy for Endgame!
ikr? That movie had so much going on!
19:11 I’m not entirely sure that this strange is dead. The eyeball on prime Strange’s forehead could imply that he’s being possessed by this strange at the end
Oh, now that's a very cool theory!
Seeing Venom Goo get his own square made me laugh way more than it should have 🤣 There ended up more alive then I was expecting, though still so many villains I wish we could have seen more of. The one I most wish was still alive is Wenwu- either as a villain or reformed, I really wanted at least one more movie with him 😢
Thank you so much for putting together all these recap videos!!!
Yeah, it's so cool that it's the same actor. Dude gets around!
19:08 I guess that Wanda destroying every copy of the Darkhold throughout the Multiverse and potentially sacrificing herself in the process is not enough to consider her reformed.
Very fair point...yeah, I probably should make her reformed. I was really torn on that, tbh.
I agree...I'd love to see him come back. Maybe he'll be part of the group working the Leader in CA 4. That would be very cool!
Always enjoy seeing the state of current villains in the MCU.
Yeah, it's fun doing it each year!
bill murray's fate was left up in the air.
Yeah, I guess you’re right that he could still be alive. But that would be pretty impressive if he got out of that one alive, tbh.
Note to self: If I ever decide to become an evil supervillain, never become a hero or do anything heroic…
lol! Great advice!
Very good points! I agree, it is nice that there are real stakes in the MCU.
25:24 why are the monster hunters here? They’re human
They just seemed really creepy to me, so I thought they fit in well with the aliens… But I also didn’t have room on the earlier image, tbh
Sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted, but in Thor 1, The Destroyer becomes destroyed
Well said!
I was wondering if you would possibly do a video on The Void from Deadpool 3 and Loki I think it’s gonna play in big in Secret Wars instead of it taking place on battle world
That's a good suggestion. Yeah, I think the void will be very important for Secret Wars and perhaps even for Doomsday!
I think they should have hired the high evolutionary actor to play kang
I agree… He would’ve been a fantastic Kang!
I’m pretty sure I recall Anton getting killed in moon knight, dude got speared while riding his horse.
Great video but I think there’s two mistakes you made:
2. Yeah, I should have said that those hunters were human, but were creepy enough they deserved to be with the aliens. lol!
I have all the villains to say for everything. Part 1.

Wow...fantastic detail. Kudos!
I feel like Echo’s properly redeemed at this point. I mean, she did go to the barbecue
Yeah, good point...I could probably call her reformed. I just wonder what she'll do next?
It'd be nice to know if the villains in no way home were sent back to their timelines and things still happen the same or if it changes things in the tobey/Andrew universes or if perhaps its a branched timeline. either way id love to see them again.
I agree...I'd love to know that answer. My gut feeling is that it created a branch, since the events of the second and third Tobey Spider-Man movies would be greatly impacted by Green Goblin not dying, as an example.
Damage control hunting over the old law which is why Luke cage from their show and the Young Avengers: Kamala getting a probation probably calls out the heroes for hire
I sooooo want to see heroes for hire. Please give that to us, Marvel. Pretty please!
I agree...Gao is indeed the GOAT. Hope she managed to survive the Defenders series somehow!
I'd be totally down for Mysterio returning. He was so good in FFH!
Venom goo is a hero it cleaned itself up before bar staff came
lol! Good point!
Marvel needs to finish the Kang story
Totally agree!
I personally dont think they kill too many villians, i dont love a "returning villian" if that villian wasnt victorious before their "disappearance" Marvel has so many great villians both already incorporated with unfinished stories and waiting to be revealed
Great point! I agree, I think it's okay for alot of villains to perish.
Wait our 1 year has hit?!?
3:36 I am still waiting on Sitwell becoming a zombie 😅
Howling Commandos ❤
ikr? How did a year fly by so fast? Craziness!
Howling Commandos, hell yeah! Man, Sitwell is on my top 10 of worst adapted characters in a movie, visually. Another is Mundungus Fletcher.
@TheDanishGuyReviews "He took one look at Voldemort and disapparated"
@DanHosler D'oh!
Why is Miss Minutes on probation, meaning she’s no longer a villain? Shouldn’t she be still just a villain like Ravonna?
Good question...I should have mentioned that I'm taking her out of the villain category since she was rebooted and seemed to be nice now. But I just don't trust her, so I'm keeping her on probation for now.
@ oh yes good point. I forgot she was rebooted
💯
9:30-Who you kidding? It's dangerous to simply EXIST in the MCU 😅
lol! Very true!
What you said about Ralp Boner . Did you record this before that Agatha episode premiered
Good question...it was after he showed up in Agatha. Was I perhaps to generous to call him reformed? I wanted to give him credit for helping out William and Eddie.
@ no that’s good . Just the way you said it seemed like the episode didn’t premier before you recorded the video.
Oops...sorry about that!
I like how there's no mention of what happened to Vulture. I try to forget that too 😂
Yeah, that scene in Morbius is so painful. But I do wonder if ATSV tried to correct it by implying that it was really the collider event that pulled him into Morbius' universe and Miguel helped return him back to 616.
@AbitofEverything4U Yes, that is my current head cannon right now
💯
18:55 didn’t Ammit get imprisoned?
But you may also be right! I wish they spent more time on this part of the lore
Yeah, it would be nice to get a confirmation Ammit's fate and I'd love more lore on the gods!
I'm not trusting ultron, thats too good of a villain to be no longer around after avengers 2
Rumor has it he may be coming back… So I will gladly move him back to being alive. I mean, how do you kill an AI after all?
Didn't Talos die in secret Invasion? Posted this early on in the video so sorry if you mention it laterz.
No problem...you probably saw that he did eventually die upon his return in Secret Invasion. Poor dude.
Yeah, the Deadpool Corp was awesome. Maybe they do deserve a shout-out. And that's a good list of villains that I'd love to see again!
Isn’t Strucker in Winter Soldier as well?
Oops...he is indeed. Great catch!
I think there are a lot of villains that I wish we could see again but I don’t think Marvel kills too many either.
I agree...Marvel kills alot, but I don't think it's too many. Lots of very cool ones still left alive.
@@AbitofEverything4UI had it as background noise, understandable.
No problem… Yeah, it made things a lot easier to keep track of the villains when those prequel movies weren’t messing with me. Black widow was also a little strange because Ross was appearing out of order.
Prowler is already Prowler, we saw him in Across the Spider-Verse and it's confirmed it's the same Prowler
Oh, was that confirmed somewhere? Let me know where, because that’s really cool!
@@AbitofEverything4U concept art
Oh yeah… I have seen that now that you mention it. But I think that Feige has the final say and so if he decides to make ATSV canon into the MCU, then I agree, that could very well be the 616 prowler. Otherwise, it could just be a variant, which also works really well.
@@AbitofEverything4U yea, i just assume its the same one cause Marvel Wiki says it
I do hope it turns out to be the same one. That would be very cool!
The scorpion in my heart
We sooooooo need the Scorpion!
Full year gang 😇😎
Thanks for your amazing support of the channel!!
24:53
Spoilers for Agatha All Along
Agatha IS dead though.
On probation, but she’s DEAD dead.
Yeah, I probably need a "dead, but back as a ghost" status...lol!
The leader is confirmed I think for Captain America 4
Agreed...sure looks like we'll be getting him returning after all these years. Can't wait!
You should have had a resurrection count!
ikr? Never thought there would be so many resurrections!
Yondu was gonna sell the power stone to the highest bidder.
Yep, smart play by Yondu...but ofc that would have likely resulted in an untold number of deaths, so I still consider him on probation due to only caring about the money. That said, he definitely redeemed himself in GotG Vol 2.
Completely agree
💯
