This is my list based on what's in my MCU canon (although mine is based more on which ones I love to watch most to least, which can change depending on mood, etc.), but this is usually the areas they stay in: _She Hulk_ and _Secret Invasion_ can float further and more than others, though. 1. @@AbitofEverything4U Just realized Venom 3 wasn't on my list yet as I sometimes wait for home media releases before adding to my favorites list that way a rewatch can hlp me decide). But based on my theatrical watch it would go somewhere around the other two as it wasn't really much etter or worse than the others.
So sorry to hear about your wife and your mother, my heart goes out to you. I love your channel and the positive energy you always bring to whatever you're talking about, even stuff you're not quite as jazzed on. I admire your ability to find positivity in things even more now, knowing what you've been through. Keep up the great work, we all appreciate it.
That's so nice of you to say that. Yeah, cancer stinks...But my son is a daily reminder of my wife, which is wonderful. Really glad you feel the channel is positive. I try my best. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts. Truly appreciate it!
Sorry to learn of the personal struggles with health of ur loved ones I just lost the last of my brothers suddenly and it's hard but we must continue on for the memories to live on love ur channel and allure opinions
@@davidwodarski3910 Very sorry to hear about the loss of the last of your brothers. You are so right that we continue on and remember our lost loved ones in our memories each day. That's a beautiful sentiment!
Yeah, with Love and Thunder, I think the problem was that they took Thor's Stupidity and took it out of context. In the first movie, Thor is stupid when it comes to Earth, because he doesn't know the societal norms, he acts how an Asgardian would on earth. Same with the Dark World. In Ragnarok, they put it in perfect context, he's ridiculed when it's appropriate, because he's dealing with a ridiculous group of stupid people (who have power over him) on Sakaar. In Love and Thunder, Taika Waititi just made him an idiot for no reason.
I mean, I'd argue it was to highlight and strengthen Gorr's motivation as a result of Gorr not having much screentime. But it does come across as inconsistent, as Thor has never intentionally done anything to hurt anyone, directly or otherwise. And so his seeming carelessness in Love and Thunder was just... Well, like I said, inconsistent. I still like the movie, though. It's grown on me over time.
Started watching your “State of Heroism” video last week, and spent like 8 hours going through your vids! Was shocked I hadn’t heard of you before, and I guarantee you’ll do amazing if you keep these up!! Thanks for making my week!
Yelena is Black Widow. That's the whole point of several phase 4 entries. Sam Wilson is now Captain America, Yelena is now Black Widow, Kate Bishop is now Hawkeye, Wong is now the Sorcerer Supreme, so on and so forth
Its been a while since ive been into the MCU, used to love it and your videos are hitting a lovely spot between nostalgia and a tempting hook of positivity which is bringing me back in 🥰 I'm so sorry you've had to go through such loss, and I just want to say thank you for being so positive in your videos, they really help me when im stressed and want to calm down ❤
That's so nice of you to say. I'm glad my videos bring positivity for you as that's definitely my goal. Cancer is an evil, evil beast, but my son is a constant reminder of my wife and I love watching the MCU with him. Thanks so much for your feedback. It made my day!
This was an amazing and very detailed breakdown of all these MCU projects from phase 1-5 can't wait to see your breakdowns of phases 6 & 7 going forward.
This is definitely my favorite MCU ranking on TH-cam because I really like how you structure your videos. Your ranking is also really unique compared to other creators so it makes for a much more interesting listen. Though, a big gripe I have is the One Shots being left out. Even if you didn't want to rank them individually, I feel they still could of been grouped together and placed in the ranking. If I were to place the One Shots on your ranking I'd probably put them at number 32, above Hawkeye but below Daredevil S2. The Team Thor trilogy wouldn't be required, though it is counted as part of the MCU phases on Disney+.
I am so sorry about your mom and wife. My dad had cancer when he was young, he did survive but it left some painful marks even to this day. He is the reason I love Marvel and Star Wars, it is what has bonded us throughout my life
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's cancer and I'm glad he survived, but you make a good point that even if you survive, takes alot out of you. I'm so glad he got you into the MCU and Star Wars. Same situation with me and my son as well!
@@AbitofEverything4U It has come to a point now where he sends me a message asking where on the timeline the new shows and movies are 😅 recently lost my timeline, so it’s perfect to rewatch your videos over Christmas!
Only 2 placings in so far but I love how honest you are being already. When a bit of everything has something bad to say about a mcu project you know its real😂. Feels like when that nice teacher gets super mad and you just sit there all confused
Definitely think you underrated GotG 2. The themes of “What does family really mean” were done so well. I liked the isolation of the characters (It’s similar to Empire Strikes Back) so when they come together at the end, you see their emotional journeys come to a close together. I think Ego deserves a 22. You know he’s up to no good, but it only gets worse and worse until they’re fighting a literal planet.
Yeah, my son thinks I ranked it too low as well. I need to give it another hard look and see if I should move it up. So many good shows and movies...makes it really hard!
26:37 What I find really funny is that I Am Groot Season 2 happens before Avengers Age of Ultron in the timeline which means Groot created an evil robot before the actual evil robot was made
I’m sorry to hear that about your wife and mother. I respect your ability to talk so openly about something like that. I appreciate how much effort you put into your videos, and truly believe you provide the single most comprehensive insight into the inter connectivity in the mcu. Thank you
That's so nice of you to say. Yeah, cancer is an evil, evil beast...but my son is a daily reminder of my wife and he and I love watching the MCU together. Thanks so much for your kind words and positive feedback. Truly appreciate it!
Hey, just started watching your channel again after awhile starting with the state of villainy and heroism of this year, then you drop this mega packed ranking, glad to see you still kicking it at full speed!
Secret Invasion was a prime example of what happens when you have serious behind the scenes issues. Losing the head writer, producers fighting on set, and being forced to put it out in the condition it was in due to the D+ mandate. They would've came out better scapping it or if it were post reset allowing them to do what they started doing for projects in 2024.
Currently feeling a bit homesick because I’m on a French trip with school. I love your videos so much and your ranking ones like this are phenomenal i look forward to it every year. I feel less scared about the trip already and I’ve only just started the video 😅 thanks
Thanks so much for the positive feedback on the vid and for your kind words about my losses. Yeah, cancer is just an evil beast. But I have a wonderful son, who is also an MCU fan, so he reminds me of my wife every day. Thanks again!
12:35 The only pushback for this I will offer is that Yelena is also a Black Widow. I think the shared experience among the Widows is actually quite compelling, although using that to reduce them to essentially one collective identity is a bit diminutive. Perhaps that was the point, though. That's exactly what Dreykov did to them.
@@AbitofEverything4UThat reminds me of a reaction/commentary video I saw of Loki, when he gets pruned in Season 1. Before we get to the credit scene of him in the Void, we assume he’s dead. And someone pointed out- the name of the show is “Loki”, but which one? Having lost Loki, the title then at that point could be interpreted to be representing Sylvie. Of course all that goes out the window a few minutes later seeing Loki in the Void 😅
Thanks! That’s very nice of you to say. Yeah cancer is an evil beast… But I have my wonderful son to remind me of my wife every day, so that’s a true blessing. Thanks so much for watching the video and sharing your feedback. Really appreciate it!
I'm a HUGE Fan of the MCU (mostly the movies) and whenever I think of MCU videos via TH-cam, I come here to the channel first, I love the slideshow aspects to your videos, I'm getting inspiration to a large project I'm starting next month (January 1) to the video being published a little over 4.5 years minimum from now. Just here to say I watched this video in its entirety, and that I'm a fan! PS, my heart goes out to your wife, mother and father for their losses. May them rest in peace...
Wow... your project sounds very interesting. Wishing you all the best with it. And thanks for your kind words. Cancer is an evil, evil beast. But my son is a wonderful reminder of my wife and he loves to watch the MCU with me, which is awesome!
Anytime. That’s honestly very wholesome to share your son watching the MCU! Anyhow, my trailer for the project drops at 7pm PT tonight, tell me below what you think of the idea after you’ve seen the video.

Great list! Thanks for sharing it...loved reading it all. And my son would be very happy with you having Guardians Vol 3 near the top. That's his favorite! I was so torn on whether I liked DD S1 or S3 better. So hard to make that call.
@@AbitofEverything4U I chose season 3 over 1 but I rate them pretty much the same, the decider is the monologue from Mat screaming in Fisks face is probably my favourite moment in the mcu Also if AOS was canon seasons 4 and 5 would be in the top 10
Cool list, esp. your scoring breakdowns. Glad you took the time to do that. It was also nice how the final ranking was pretty diverse. Not Heavily biased toward: all Avengers movies, or from one phase, plus a nice mix of TV and movies, well done! One suggestion for the next time, hate to do this because 4 categories is a nice clean format, but it might be worth adding one or more categories for ... 1) characters that are in the middle between hero and villain (for example Olivia Coleman was not even mentioned and I think she was the best (and only good?) part of Secret Invasion. Others would include: Khonshu, Zemo in FatWS, Stick, Trevor Slattery, the Grandmaster, Punisher in DD s2, Yondu, Rio in AAA ... basically the best characters). 2) working well as a standalone (ie - if you were watching with a non Marvel fan would they be able to enjoy it?) 3) significance (ie - is it a must see chapter, that advances the meta story?) 4) rewatchability (this is where Ragnarok excels most, IMO). Not suggesting all of those should be added but maybe something in there is worth using. Also, when you ranked Deadpool & Wolverine, I was thinking to myself "the bonus section better be 25", and you did not disappoint.
Those are some very cool category suggestions. If nothing else, I can add bonus points for those things, but they might make nice categories as well. And yeah, I totally left off Olivia Coleman. She was epic!
Putting Black Widow and Echo so low in a ranking is crazy to me, but I respect your opinion. My top 15 MCU projects: 1. Agatha All Along 2. WandaVision 3. Hawkeye 4. Echo 5. Ms. Marvel 6. Loki season 2 7. The Marvels 8. Multiverse of Madness 9. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law 10. Wakanda Forever 11. Moon Knight 12. Black Widow 13. Werewolf by Night 14. Loki season 1 15. Eternals Yes, I'm aware that these are all phase 4 and 5 projects. None of those earlier movies speak to me nearly as much.
Glad to see so many Phase 4 and 5 entries at the top of your list! As for Echo and Black Widow, I love the characters, I just wasn't as happy with their solo outings. But I totally respect if they resonated more with you. Thanks so much for sharing your list!
this has to be rage bait. like u can't be serious right? how can an opinion be so awful. not one project in the Infinity Saga? like this actually pmo. Agatha all along is the greatest project uve seen? ur either extremely liberal or you are too young to have experienced the Infinity Saga in its glory
24:41 The Hand used dragon bones to create the Resurrection Elixir that allowed people to come back from the dead. The dragon Shou-Lao is called "the Undying" because he is immortal.
I understand peoples frustrations with Thor Love and Thunder but I would argue the strength of the romance and cancer storyline makes up for the silly humour and lack of screen time for Gorr. My favourites of the MCU include Infinity War, Endgame, Guardians Vol.1, Thor Ragnarok and Loki
Good points about L&T. I do like the movie for the good things it gave (romance, cancer story, and some epic Gorr fights) but the silly humor still really hurts it for me in the overall ranking. But you are right...it's not a terrible movie overall. And that's a strong top 5 list. Thanks for sharing your picks!
You seriously don’t get enough credit for the work you do. Another amazing video. My MCU Phases rankings go like this from my most favorite to least: Phase 3 Phase 4 Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 5
This was such a fun video to watch makes me want to rewatch everything! I’m sorry about your wife and mother man I’m glad that you seem to find peace through the mcu, I relate a lot to what you’ve been through… On another note, I laughed so hard when you started off the list with Secret Invasions 😂 Btw careful to anybody watching who hasn’t watched Agatha yet, there’s a spoiler for the show in the Moon Knight section
That's so great to hear that you loved the video. Thanks for the positive feedback. And I really appreciate the kind words about my wife and mother. Yeah, cancer is just an evil, evil beast. But my son is a constant reminder of my wife and he loves watching the MCU with me, which is awesome!
Finally got round to listening to this, and very much enjoyed it. First of all, sorry to hear about your losses - cancer has ravaged my family, too. Secondly, on a much lighter note, I am pretty certain that we would have 63 different editions here if I was to list mine, but we would for sure have the same first and last! Hope you have a great new year and a brilliant 2025
Thanks for your kind words and positive feedback. Very sorry to hear you've had cancer affect your family as well. It truly is an evil, evil beast. And that's great to hear that we have the same first and last entries on our lists. Very cool!
Wow, I can't Imagine the work that went into ranking all 65 MCU projects at once, this is mad impressive! Here's my personal top 10 1. Guardians Vol.2 2. Daredevil 3. Guardians Vol.3 4. Infinity War 5. The Avengers 6. Guardians Vol.1 7. Loki 8. Civil War 9. Endgame 10. Ragnarok A lot of these choices have less to do with the "Quality" of each movie, and more just how much I enjoy them. Guardians 2 in particular is very personal to me, so it ranks much higher than it probably should lol.
That's a great top 10 list. My son also likes both Guardians 2 and 3 and puts them near the top of his list, too. At the end of the day, when a movie becomes personal for you, like some did for me as well, that's a perfectly fine reason to place them at the top. The impact they have on you might be one of the most important ways to rank them, tbh.
Man this video was nothing short of incredible, it’s so clear you put so so much time and effort into it and I have so much love and respect for the great stuff you give your fans. That being said, I have a lot of strong opinions that I would love to share in a respectful way and challenge some of your opinions. Starting with by far what many would call my worst opinion, I believe that love and thunder is just as bad as everyone says and yet I believe it’s still a very significant improvement on thor ragnarok, which is just downright awful if you don’t turn your brain off and enjoy how funny it is. Now I do want to give credit where credit is due, it is likely the funniest movie or project in general in the mcu, its soundtrack is incredible and its visuals are stunning. However its characters fall flat in nearly every way, this was the start of the biggest issue with Thor in the mcu, and frankly taika doesn’t understand the character. Thor is not stupid, however he is always treated as such by taika. He cannot think for himself here, he has hardly any ideas and most of them are downright goofy and shouldn’t work. He shouldn’t be this dim witted and should have average intelligence. Loki was a major step back starting to seemingly change some of his ways but still want power, I mean as Odin yes he lied to everyone but it’s not like he was actively hurting and killing people and even that greed is seemingly gone besides the mandatory tesseract grabbing which was only necessary for infinity war. Valarie just seemed incredibly out of place and hela killing them all really didn’t make much sense as her anger really should’ve been aimed at her father, it felt really forced and she’s much better as a hard ass diplomat. Korg is also just a joke, a good enjoyable joke but there is zero depth or interest to him. And turning hulks incredible sacrifice into making him a gladiator and essentially a joke about not getting him to come out is sad, one of the worst letdowns of the mcu. World war hulks storyline works because he’s making a sacrifice to help the smaller guys and overthrow the elitism, and absolutely none of that is here. Hela is fine, but the killing of the warriors 3 is a joke, and it’s a huge misstep. Surtur is not good, he’s nothing short of a big brute with no depth. And the executioner without the enchantress just doesn’t work imo. At least thor love and thunder tries to make things like the cancer storyline serious and has some great emotions with thor and janes relationship but everything in ragnarok is a joke. besides maybe odins death which didn’t hit hard at all and feels like they hit a brick wall tonally, the lack of Odin doing anything with the Odin force which was a big deal in the previous movie is a let down as well. For iron man 2 black widow being sexual is a pro not a con imo. I really don’t get how people think that a female being sexual is immediately saying that she’s weak, relies on men or that her body is all that matters. Here it’s quite the opposite black widow has a tool, her body, that she uses to show her intelligence and conniving nature to prey on men and get what she wants. It’s a major sign of her strength and frankly imo it makes her way more stupid if she’s that attractive and won’t use that to get what she wants. I was introduced to the black widow character in ultimate avengers where she used her body to seduce and betray Tony taking him down when he’s let his guard down and invite him to shield. That’s a great sign of strength, while still allowing sexuality in a non demeaning way. We need black widow to be sexual it helps her character so much. Iron fist season 1 imo has a great storyline and depth to what was established in a business storyline in iron man 1. We never see the depth of company drama in an interesting way besides this series. It’s not like ant man where it’s kinda the same thing. It goes far deeper and I think that’s definitely worthwhile. Echo did an amazing job at showing her ancestry and the kingpin made a great villain. His device is a great idea and it does an amazing job of showing Native American culture. Her powers are a little confusing but I really don’t understand the hate it’s a great show. Spider-Man homecoming has a great villain in vulture your absolutely right. However I find it a bit biased and unfair that’s all you touch on. One of my major issues with the movie is that the other villains suuuck! There’s so many, they’re so forgettable and none of them really matter. It’s a huge waste for some great villains who could be done a lot better. I think I’d put infinity war even lower than you do. It’s plenty enjoyable and nowhere near bad but it’s soooo off focus and that brings it down a lot. To put it frankly what’s the A plot? Everything is a B plot and there’s no main story. Where endgame succeeds and infinity war fails is that endgames main focus on Thanos’ comeback and getting the stones works as a main through point whereas thanos getting the stones isn’t given enough screen time by itself to where it doesn’t feel like it’s guiding the story. It feels like a part of the other characters story and those don’t have a main focus. Still great but that’s a big oversight imo. I’m kinda surprised you didn’t bring up the big character misstep with Drax in guardians 2 imo that’s a big step down in characterization. Someone who once shower great loss and emotion, and how some cultures don’t understand the humor of others was just turned into a flat out joke, that’s just really sad to see and makes the movie a lot worse imo. I really thought you’d bring it up. X-men 97 still feels incredibly out of place here. Again go all the way and bring in more stuff like the original series and Spider-Man show or don’t have it here at all. And I also feel like we really need the other marvel projects like agents of shield and runaways and others here as well, a bonus video covering all of these placements as well as state of heroism and villainy etc would be much appreciated
Great feedback! I'll just touch on a few items. I definitely don't agree on L&T being better than Ragnarök, but that's why we make our own lists and they are based upon our own perceptions. I feel Thor is alot smarter in Ragnarök and that the jokes are happening around him, but not about him. In L&T, Thor is the joke. He becomes the reason people are laughing (or not laughing, as most of the jokes are 3rd grade level). But it's okay that we disagree on that. I totally respect that you liked L&T better...I just really didn't like it myself. For Iron Man 2, I don't mind at all that Black Widow herself is sexual in her actions. It's more about how others treat her and talk about her. Happy ogling her in the backseat was inappropriate and unnecessary. Pepper called it correctly when she said "And she is potentially a very expensive sexual harassment lawsuit if you keep ogling her like that" when Tony did it. Then Stark pulls up pictures of her modeling lingerie...oof! Then as she leaves, Stark says "I want one." Yikes! You may not have a problem with a male boss ogling an employee like that and dressing her down, but I do. Very early 2010 / pre-Me Too stuff. I covered the reasons for X-Men 97 being included but not Spider-Man TAS and X-Men TAS in a different comment as well as AoS not being included. Otherwise, I didn't have much to add on your other comments. They all made sense. Our lists are different and that's totally okay. Anyway, great feedback as always. Thanks so much!
I think your review of Echo was fair. When it was a showcase of Native American and Deaf culture, it was fantastic (as an ASL interpreter myself, I loved the authenticity of the signing). But changing her powers to be more mystical took me out of the show a bit.
Very well said! Yeah, I appreciate the writers desire to bring in the Native American culture in the series, but I think they could have done it without the mystical powerset retcon. The flashbacks were very cool, but giving her the power of her ancestors just didn't work for me.
My personal favorites (no particular order) are Iron Man 1, Captain America 1, Avengers 1, Infinity War, Guardians 2, Age of Ultron, Homecoming, Ragnarok, and Endgame. Also, why did you include X-Men 97 if it’s not connected to Earth-19999?
Those are great choices for your top tier entries. Thanks for sharing your picks! As for X-Men 97, I included it because it looked like it was gonna cross over with what if. Turns out that it was a small reference, but it was still interesting that they use Storm in that episode. Also, Disney+ lists it in the Multiverse saga section on the platform. So it seems that Marvel wants it to be viewed as part of the overall Multiverse.
So many wrong turns in Secret Invasion-- killing talos and Maria Hill, Rhodey being a skrull (but for no greater motive), over powered Giah, the president going crazy, lack of interesting fights, lack of suspense...ugh! The one thing i liked was Fury having used Skrulls to secretly benefit his SHIELD career and peotect the planet. We really gotta get a higher being in the multiverse to confirm say its a branch so we can get a re-do of the Secret Invasion storyline
There’s quite a bit I disagree with this ranking, but I do really appreciate the higher ranking you gave to iron man 3. The villains are weak, but the rest of the film quite good. I really like how it develops Tony’s character. The Mandarin twist works well and works even better since Shang Chi came out.
The one thing i hate the most about the star lord thing in IW is i feel like he should have been one of the guardians to survive the blip just because he was the leader, you could have seen live without gamora and his friends longer ( which rocket and nebula never really bring up), and then he could have lived with the fact that he caused it. It made more sense for him to live then the others.
I thought it was really interesting that marvel was willing to make Agatha the lead without feeling compelled to fully redeem her. It felt weird including Deadpool and Wolverine on the list but not the other Deadpool movies. I get the reason but it still feels weird.
My biggest issue with captain marvel is that the movie tries to make her so important in endgame and then she just shows up at the beginning and then thanos punches her outta the movie at the end 😂. Like yeah she saved stark and nebula at the beginning but i feel like there were like 10 other ways they coulda made it back to earth
Yeah, I honestly think they didn't know what to do with Captain Marvel. OP characters like her and Thor both need to be sidelined since they can end a battle so quickly.
I'm loving your videos man. Tha longer tha better too. Your very soft and well spoken speaking intelligently on sum i like juss as much as you seem to I'm really loving tha videos man 🙌🏿✌🏿
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. That's so nice of you to say. Great to hear that the longer vids are okay. I get worried about the length, so I try to keep most in the 10 to 20 minute range. But this one was definitely a long one!
thor bookending your movie list is so funny, but also very valid. i enjoyed hearing your rationale for each placement. my opinions aren’t that different from yours. i got a lot of crocheting done during this video so thanks for that!
Niiiiiice! Yeah, a video like this is perfect for passing the time. While I never learned to crochet, I did do some latch hooking, but that barely counts.
9:30 Carol wasn't under mind control. She was just suffering from amnesia, which allowed the Kree to manipulate her. 1:36:49 That would be Doctor Octopus.
The Chitauri's motivation was given in a deleted scene of the Avengers, they were a Warrior species who where happy to die in battle, also they were loyal to Thanos, and Thanos told them to attack Earth as part of the deal with Loki. Also in She Hulk E1 i think a reporter mentioned in passing that titania broke through the wall to escape a court case that she got over her controversial products that happened to be the same court building She Hulk was in
Great feedback! Yeah, that's what I would have expected for the Chitauri's motivation. Bummer that wasn't included in the movie. And you may be right about Titania. I need to see if I can find that reporter's comments. I was very confused, but that's good to know that the episode might have provided an explanation for her actions.
Secret invasion was particularly disappointing because you can tell they had the makings of a great show there. It had some of the best acted scenes in the MCU but the larger plot really fell flat
Bit, I gotta give you major props for the patience, analysis and memory to put such big ranking together. I know what my favorites are (IW, EG, Loki, Dr S, MoM, Wint Sold, Civil War, GoG) but haven't really ranked the bottom tier. I will say that I would rank Secret Invasion higher if for nothing else than the great dilogue between Fury, Talos, Sonya, Varra and Rhody double. Lastly, I heard Cobie Smulders wanted to leave Marvel, but I really wish the writers had given her a more honorable sendoff. Thanks for being a true fan and great resource. 👍
Thanks so much for the kind words on the vid. I love putting these together each year-end. And that's such a bummer to hear Colbie wanted to leave Marvel. I loved her character so much. Sigh. Anyway, thanks watching and sharing your feedback. Really appreciate it!
Love how holy original your list is and I think this is what a ranking should be!!!! There are certain story lines and characters that are bound to be more moving than others based on the individuals preferences and experiences. My hot take is that iron man 3 was a great movie!!!!
Thanks for your feedback. I agree that it's fun to see how someone else ranks the MCU because each person approaches the entries differently. And you are 100% correct about Iron Man 3...it's highly underrated. It was a really fun movie and the Mandarin twist was brilliant!
That is definitely a valid theory. If you've never seen my History of the Multiverse vid, you might check it out, as I give my reasoning for multiple trees: th-cam.com/video/kS-v8GA4Wzc/w-d-xo.html. But hopefully we'll get a final answer with Fantastic Four. Fingers crossed!
@@AbitofEverything4U It just feels like there should only be one. There was the sacred timeline in Loki and at the end everything starts to branch out. I know there's all these movies like X-Men, Spider-Man, and Blade which are in the multiverse and predate the MCU, but it feels like the branching happened and everything that takes place in the past is still a branch off of the 616. I could see there being multiple trees I just feel as though once we start adding in multiple trees it gets even more confusing. Like Deadpool and the X-Men movies are 10005 on the same tree that Loki is watching over. I'm sure there will be some clear answer but we've only ever seen one tree so that's what leads me to believe that only one exists with The God of Stories at the bottom of it.
Yeah, I do hope things become more clear, but you should definitely check out my vid, as I pull together all of the existing info and there is actually alot of evidence for multiple trees.
I also find it strange to boost TIH because it’s getting paid off all these years later. The choice to not pay it off until now was made by other films.
Good feedback! I do agree that the villains are supposed to be evil, but I just couldn't bring myself to reward a villain that traffics children or abuses animals. I know, not very logic...I totally accept that it's an emotional reaction on my part. And I probably shouldn't give TIH a boost for having its plot points getting paid off. I just felt that the movie should get some credit for having so many of its characters having a lasting impact on the MCU. The Hulk, the Abomination, Ross, Betty and the Leader have all returned. Wild stuff!
I'm not including the Netflix shows because I haven't finished all of them. And this list can easily change depending on how I'm feeling that day. Spider-Man: No Way Home Deadpool & Wolverine Thor: Ragnarok Loki S1+S2 X-Men '97 Avengers: Infinity War Avengers: Endgame Avengers Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Spider-Man: Homecoming Guardians of the Galaxy Captain America: The Winter Solider Ironman Agatha All Along Wandavision Captain America: Civil War Spider-Man: Far From Home Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness Doctor Strange Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Avengers: Age of Ultron Captain America: The First Avenger Hawkeye Moon Knight What If S1+S2 GotG Christmas Special + I am Groot Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Thor: Love and Thunder Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania Black Panther Werewolf by Night Antman Ironman 2 Ironman 3 Antman and the Wasp Black Panther: Wakanda Forever She-Hulk Attorney at Law Falcon and the Winter Solider The Marvels Eternals Thor The Incredible Hulk Thor: The Dark World Echo Captain Marvel Ms. Marvel Black Widow Secret Invasion Honorable Mention Daredevil and Jessica Jones
That's a great point...yeah, I wonder if they felt having him addicted to alcohol in IM 3 was too dark and went with anxiety attacks instead. Very interesting!
I know a lot of people don’t like black widow but I really did love the opening scene with them on the plane, then seeing the girls being taken away right after you thought they had gotten out of harms way. Really emotional. Plus I loved the Yelena Belova score in the movie
Yeah, you definitely named my two favorite parts of the movie for sure. That opening scene was epic. And everything with Yelena was stellar. She is one of my favorite characters in the MCU, hands down. I didn't really like Taskmaster, they way they made her basically learn the moves via a computer download. And I didn't like the CGI finish. But the movie had alot to love for sure!
I am so glad that WandaVision was a perfect 100! I love the show so much! Every time it gets to episode 8 I can’t hold back tears. Such a beautiful show!
I will say that this is a great video and a very comprehensive list but I couldn't help but notice one glaringly obvious exclusion and that's Marvel's agents of shield, that show is amazing and needs to be included in this
Great point! So the way I did this was just to include shows or movies that are considered part of the sacred timeline. For some bizarre reason, Marvel has not included either Agent Carter's show or the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show in the official timeline on Disney+. I don't know if that means they consider it a branch off of 616? So very strange.
It's so rare I agree with someone on movies/shows, period: (I'm the kinda guy who ranks The Bride of Chucky above all other Child's Play installments), especially at THIS scale. BUT...putting Black Widow so far below Marvels, Captain Marvel, etc is WILD to me lol. Also, Dr. Strange was an esoteric masterpiece, and is in my top 5 of all time. Putting it WAY below DSMOM??? WHAT!? lol Great work, I know this took a while!
Love Bride of Chucky! That movie is a trip! I should probably re-evaluate Black Widow. I was just frustrated that we didn't get a flash back to Budapest (throwing Hawkeye in there would have been so cool) and that ending drove me nuts. But It is a good movie. I do still really enjoy it. And believe it or not, Dr. Strange moved up this year, as I've come to enjoy it even more over time. So perhaps I still have it too low.
What are your thoughts on the news of Chris Evans returning in a currently unconfirmed role for Avengers Doomsday? To me, I need to see what his role will be before I can fully gauge my thoughts, my guess right now is Old Man Steve from Endgame or some kind of evil variant like Hydra Cap.
Here’s my ranking! A few things: I haven’t seen the Netflix shows yet (I will eventually) and I combine shows that have multiple seasons into just one entry. So instead of Loki Season 1 and Loki Season 2, it’s just Loki. Also I know I have some hot takes, but just like you, I love all of them still! 47. Ms. Marvel (I love most of the things you mentioned but those villains and time travel reeeally killed it for me) 46. The Incredible Hulk 45. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier 44. Captain America: The First Avenger 43. Thor 42. Ant-Man and the Wasp 41. Captain Marvel 40. What If…? 39. Black Widow 38. Thor: Love and Thunder 37. Thor: The Dark World 36. Echo 35. She-Hulk: Attourney At Law 34. Iron Man 2 33. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special 32. Ant-Man 31. Spider-Man: Homecoming 30. Black Panther 29. Guardians of the Galaxy 28. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 27. The Marvels 26. Secret Invasion (I know this will cause gasps but I quite liked it!) 25. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 24. Werewolf By Night 23. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 22. Iron Man 3 21. The Avengers 20. Agatha All Along 19. Hawkeye 18. Captain America: Civil War 17. Captain American: The Winter Soldier 16. Spider-Man: Far From Home 15. Doctor Strange 14. Iron Man 13. Deadpool & Wolverine 12. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 11. Eternals (yeah I know but I love it) 10. Avengers: Age of Ultron (also love this) 9. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 8. WandaVision 7. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 6. Moon Knight 5. Thor: Ragnarok 4. Spider-Man: No Way Home 3. Loki 2. Avengers: Endgame 1. Avengers: Infinity War
What a fun list! Thanks for sharing that. Definitely some surprises in there (Eternals and Age of Ultron being so high...and Secret Invasion for that matter)...but that's why I love seeing other fan's lists. Some entries just hit people harder and they get more enjoyment out of them. My son also likes Secret Invasion alot more than I did. So he would like your placement for sure!
@ thank you! Even though there are differences, I enjoy your list as well! I appreciate your videos. You always add positivity in a climate where everyone is so negative. It doesn’t go unnoticed!
I think my MCU ranking would have to be: 1. Loki [S2] 2. Avengers Endgame 3. Spider-Man No Way Home 4. Avengers Infinity War 5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 6. Loki [S1] 7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 8. Wandavision 9. Captain America: The First Avenger 10. Agatha All Along And for the phases: Phase 5 Phase 3 Phase 4 Phase 1 Phase 2
That's very nice of you to say. Yeah, cancer is an evil, evil beast. But my son is a constant reminder of my wife and he loves the MCU, so we have alot of fun watching it together!
Maybe you should do a top ten mcu romances video my ranking would be 1. Tony and pepper 2. Peter and mj 3. Mark/steven and Layla 4. T’challa and nyssa 5. Druig and Makkari 6. Thor and Jane 7. Bruce and Betty 8. Cap and Peggy 9. Peter and gamora 10. Billy and eddie
Ask and ye shall receive: th-cam.com/video/0PgEsg4xaNg/w-d-xo.html. Had alot of fun making that vid. And thanks for sharing your list. It's great and we have some of the same picks!
Good question! So the only time I noticed anyone telling him to wait, it was Iron Man saying "Okay, Quill, you gotta cool it right now, understand? Don't, don't, don't engage, we've almost got this off!" While that is helpful, I think he needed to be more understanding and say "Quill, you can pound him to a pulp in about 10 seconds, I'll even help, but we gotta get this glove off first". I felt they were being dismissive rather than understanding his pain at the time. But just my take on it. I could be wrong. Anyway, thanks so much for watching the vid and sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate it!
Black Widow did not call herself a monster because she can’t have kids. I feel that’s a misinterpretation of that scene. Her and Bruce are discussing why they feel like running away together because they are tired of fighting. She says she feels like a monster because she sacrificed her ability to have children, for the sake of being a more lethal assassin. That context is important and far too many seem to miss it.
Good feedback. That makes me feel abit better about it, but still, to say someone is a monster for sacrificing her ability to have children implies that a woman's purpose is too heavily wrapped around having children. She has much more value in life than the ability to have a child. I just don't see any way she can call herself a monster even for willingly giving up the ability to have kids. I blame Josh Wheedon for that line, btw, not Scarlett. Anyway, thanks so much for sharing that info. I really appreciate it!
@@AbitofEverything4U Of course I agree that a woman’s purpose isn’t solely about the ability to have children. All I mean is that the “monster” line is directed at the motivation, not the action, if that makes sense. Black Widow is saying that assassins are monsters, not barren women. Yeah, Whedon likely could’ve cleared that line up by wording it differently. But I never took it as a malicious attack against women (despite Whedon reportedly not being the best at that in his personal life, but I try to separate art from artist in this case).
Yeah, you really hit the nail on the head. Perhaps due to Whedon's personal life as well as how he treated people on the set of the movies, I was more inclined to believe it was a knock on women more than a knock on Widow's motivation. Whedon really turned out to be a mess, it seems. But I do appreciate the perspective you provided. Thanks again for that!
I do think I can explain the Cap shield. It's the last scene in Endgame if you don't count the dance but it parallels the first scene in Endgame. Remember Hawkeye's kids are tossing the baseball around and we see one of the kids with a black baseball glove. Then later when Hawkeye goes home on the test run,he takes the glove as proof of concept. Can we take something out of the past and have it not affect the past? If he took it and it did affect the past, the kids either wouldn't have been playing in the beginning or at the very least doing it without the glove. That past still exists! He had to have created a branch. But that branch wasn't significant and didnt lead to a Kang so no one from the TVA came to prune it. Then later as they collect Stones, they take those and it doesn't affect their past, it just creates branches but if Cap puts the Stones back, the branches seal and the original timeline resumes. I still have questions about HOW this happens but the movie does make clear that it does. So therefore by the end of the movie,Cap can give the shield to Sam without it affecting the timeline because it comes from HIS timeline not Sam's. But wait, you say! What about defeating the Thanos in CAP'S new timeline! That should still be a thing right? Well I have an answer for this too! Not if Steve doesn't return the Power Stone until after Thanos of that timeline goes to the future! Because THAT Thanos will never return!! Steve knows that so he purposely waits to return that Stone until after Thanos leaves. Star-Lord still gets it and the shape of history resumes! All Steve had to do was wait until that day.
My top 10 films… Avengers: Infinity War Avengers Assemble Avengers: Endgame Captain America: Civil War Spider-Man: No Way Home Iron Man Doctor Strange Spider-Man: Far From Home Deadpool & Wolverine Captain America: The First Avenger My bottom 5 films… > Thor: Love And Thunder (one of the worst films I’ve ever seen) > Thor: Ragnarok (I just hate what Taika Watiti did to the character) > Eternals (BORING!) > GOTG 3 (nothing about it worked for me) > Iron Man 2 (just treading water until Avengers) My top 5 shows… > Agents of SHIELD > Daredevil > Jessica Jones > WandaVision > Agatha All Along My bottom 5 shows… > Echo > She-Hulk > Inhumans > Iron Fist > Falcon And The Winter Soldier
It’s tough to rank the phases since there are positives and negatives for all of them, but I think I’ll go with this: 1. Phase 3 2. Phase 4 3. Phase 2 4. Phase 5 5. Phase 1 I’m assuming phase 5 will move up after it concludes though!
You mentioned how you're not sure why Titania burst through the wall at the end She-Hulk episode 1 if I remember right on a news broadcast it said she was trying to evade traffic court so I'm guessing her plan was just to break through every court wall until she's outside.
Yeah, you know, you might be right on that. Nice call! It was just such an awkward entrance for her. But I did enjoy her character in later appearances in the show.
Could you maybe also do a ranking of the currently-non-MCU stuff? I mean AoS, Helstrom, Cloak & Dagger, Inhumans,... Would be interesting to see how they would fit in if they ever become canon (again)😇
2 comments on the same video because why not I think I was commenting with a friend yesterday about how cool would it be if Cap 4 were named "World War 3" and it would be the payoff for all that "grounded military stigma" that marvel has been putting us through dueing phase 4 (sharon being the power brooker, then the ten ringa being under new direction, wakanda and namor joining forces, fisk being mayor of new york) that war declaration from the president would piss off the new asgardians too, add that to val gathering super soldiers for her espionage schemes. It'd one HELL of a movie, but it doesnt looks like these groups are gonna fight eachother in the end, oh well XD
Wow, two hours of Joof! This is great! I could write a book commenting on everything you said, but 1) I'm already writing my own graduation thesis, and one book to write is enough, thank you very much (lol!), and 2) it would be way too long, even longer than usual for my comments, so I'll keep it "brief" and just touch on a couple of points here and there as I watch. The thing with Thor is that he isn't really a funny character per se: he's the god of thunder, he wields a powerful warhammer that only he (and a selected few others) can lift, he can control lightning. Everything about him makes him sound very strong and cool. His comedy mostly stems from his interactions with other characters. Thor 1 was funny because he was stranded on Earth and he knew nothing of human customs, therefore leading to some absurd interactions with the human characters, and Ragnarok was funny because he got to meet a ton of weird and different people and creatures on Sakaar, again leading to some clever interactions. Also in his various appearances in the Avengers movies he was always paired with some other human character, to take advantage of the cultural differences for creating funny moments. In Dark World the plot instead mainly stays in Asgard, which is the place where he grew up in and where he feels more at home, so there was no potential for funny scenes with other characters. He's not out of place, he knows how to behave and what other people expect of him, and he can be confident and serious, and I like it for that reason (in fact, I would call it the BEST Thor movie, out of the four, but I know that I'm in the minority on that). That also explains why Love and Thunder wasn't as funny as it could have been: the potential was all there: he got to travel to different places and meet other pantheons' gods, which could have led to some interesting interactions based on their relative differences and cultures. But instead they went for childish jokes, eye-rolling puns and screaming goats... So yeah, definitely the worst of the four. As for Falcon and Winter Soldier, I'm going to say something probably a bit controversial, but I think that's the worst Marvel show to date. Even worse than Secret Invasion. Everything felt backwards and the writing was all over the place. Especially when it came to John Walker: I'll die on the hill that he wasn't a villain, but he was pushed to do what he did by the supposed "heroes" of the show. From the start he tried to do everything by the book and he got constantly bullied by Sam and Bucky, who just hated him right off the bat only because he was wearing that costume, before even getting to know him personally. He offered them to cooperate multiple times to fight the Flagsmashers together, but they just couldn't stand him and instead chose to fly all the way to Germany to free a known criminal from prison? How does that make them look any better? He was constantly pushed to the side as the "fake Captain America", while instead he had all the right to wear that suit, both because of his personal military record and because of the fact that he was officially entrusted with the shield by the government. A shield that, mind you, Sam willingly gave away while he was having his midlife crisis after Endgame. So no, justice for John Walker, it was all Sam and Bucky's fault. The writers tried so hard to make us hate him that they actually made everyone else around him automatically worse as a result. Also, just a small note about your personal losses. I had no idea that you lost so many people close to you. I'm deeply moved by it and I love how you were able to find inspiration and connection to many MCU entries that touched similar themes, despite the tragedies that they sometimes show. Thank you for another awesome year of ABoE!
Wow...amazing commentary. First of all, wishing you the best as you write your graduation thesis. You'll crush it, I just know it! Fantastic commentary on Thor and why the humor worked in some places and didn't in others (ala L&T). I can see why you feel Thor: The Dark World is such a good movie because honestly, if the villains were more inspiring to me, then it would rank up alot higher. Lots to love about that movie. Anyway, great commentary on Thor. Also, excellent analysis of FATWS. I loved John Walker and honestly, if not for the other lesser villains brining down the villain score, then he ranked higher than Bucky and Sam, as I gave him a 25. So yeah, you laid out a fantastic case for why he was done dirty by everyone. And thanks for kind words about the loss in my life. Cancer sucks. Evil, evil stuff. But I have a wonderful son that carries on my wife's legacy and you are right that my life experiences allows me to really identify with some of the different MCU entries that deal with loss and grief. Thanks for being such a great supporter of the channel. I love reading your comments and hearing about your life. Again, wishing you the best on your graduation thesis!
You are definitely in the majority in your feeling about Infinity War. I see it in the top 3 on most people's rankings. fwiw, each year it's moved up abit in the list for me, so yeah, I probably still have it too low.
@ I understand and the reason you dislike it for having a cliffhanger is the one of the reasons I love ❤️ it obsessively- the cliffhanger and the despondency also Empire Strikes Back is my most beloved of Star Wars lol
Niiiice! Yeah, Empire Strikes Back is pretty epic. Ironically, the cliffhanger ending hurts it for me, but I still have to acknowledge it for being a true work of art!
Personally I would've given punisher season 1 a higher villain rating for Russo, just because of the end of episode 8. So menacing, and such a good performance.
Ok...I always take issue with the gripe that MOM didn't have enough multiverse. Aside from 616, and even aside from the quick multi universe trip Strange & America went on, we saw other universes. (838, Defender Strange's & Sinister Strange's universe, America Chavez original universe in flashback). Think about it...prior to MOM we had only been in 616 (even though Endgame created a few branches, it was originally them tampering with 616). The point of the movie was to be the *introduction* of the multiverse, not visiting multiple universes for more "bang for your buck"...and for our 1st introduction to visiting other universes to be such an off-kilter ride, I think the movie delivered on the title. We saw an alternate Christine, Mordo, as well as other characters the audience were aware of but had never seen in 616. Again, I think it delivered.
Very fair points. Yeah, I honestly don't know what I was expecting...the idea of "madness" and the multiverse made me think we were getting something else, but you raise some very good points. You know, I hate to knock it too hard for this but perhaps what really turned me off is we get to the 838 universe and the first thing we see is that red means go and green means stop. I felt that was kinda silly when we're supposedly in a totally unique universe. But yeah, I probably just don't know what I expected from the movie. But I honestly did enjoy it. I'll look at it again and maybe I need to raise the score abit. Thanks so much for your feedback. Truly do appreciate it!
Top 20: The Punisher S1 The Punisher S2 Daredevil S1 Daredevil S2 Daredevil S3 Jessica Jones S1 Deadpool & Wolverine Spider-Man: No Way Home Spider-Man: Homecoming Dr Strange: M. of Madness Iron-Man Iron-Man 2 Iron-Man 3 Guardians of the Galaxy 3 The Avengers Avengers: Infinity War Avengers: Endgame Cpt America: Winter Soldier Cpt America: Civil War Captain Marvel I mean I could go on with Luke Cage, more Jessica Jones, more Guardians, WandaVision and Agatha... So many more! (Sorry to hear about all your losses too, I lost my fellow MCU fanatic and father to COVID, and that was bad enough, but you've suffered more than anyone deserves. So thank you for making all these wonderful videos for us all to enjoy and I wish you all the best going forward 👍)
Great top 20 list. Really appreciate you sharing your picks. And I'm so sorry to hear about your father. COVID was brutal. I hope you got spend many years of watching the MCU together before his untimely passing. Thanks for all your kind words and feedback!
@AbitofEverything4U I should of said that my top 20 is in no particular order! I'd find it hard to pick an absolute favourite number one :D Edit to add: I forgot to put Loki S1 & S2 in there too, absolutely perfect shows. Just an unbelievable franchise! (PS: Marvel, make AoS canon again!)
Yep, you are definitely in the majority in your feeling about both of those movies. I see them in the top 5 on most people's rankings. fwiw, each year they have moved up abit in the list for me, so yeah, I probably still have them too low. I just like those others alot better. But I truly do appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I really think people overhate age of ultron just because the other 3 avengers movies are elite, ultron is one of the most interesting marvel villains (im biased i love james spader)

This is my list based on what's in my MCU canon (although mine is based more on which ones I love to watch most to least, which can change depending on mood, etc.), but this is usually the areas they stay in: _She Hulk_ and _Secret Invasion_ can float further and more than others, though.

@@Buffy8Fan Wow...what a list! Thanks for sharing it. Was alot of fun to read!
@@Buffy8Fan I agree...that's a good place to put it.
Wow...that's the best commentary I've heard on the problems with L&T. Nicely done!
@DarthTingleBinks Good point...I do think the movie has grown on me over time. I may have it low on the list, but I do still like it.
It's really a fun movie with GLARING problems lol
@@jessetaylor383 Good summary!
I genuinely believe if marvel made secret invasion non-canon, it would highly benefit the mcu
I suspect you are far from alone in that feeling!
They should have saved secret invasion for a captain Marvel 2 and then do The Marvels bringing blue Marvel in The mix
@tjplay3496 you cooked here
@tjplay3496 Great idea!
Started watching your “State of Heroism” video last week, and spent like 8 hours going through your vids! Was shocked I hadn’t heard of you before, and I guarantee you’ll do amazing if you keep these up!! Thanks for making my week!
Wow...that's so nice of you to say. Thanks so much for the positive feedback!
Yelena is Black Widow. That's the whole point of several phase 4 entries. Sam Wilson is now Captain America, Yelena is now Black Widow, Kate Bishop is now Hawkeye, Wong is now the Sorcerer Supreme, so on and so forth
Good point...yeah, I went in assuming it was Natasha's movie, but that's a good way to interpret the title and the intent of the movie!
Its been a while since ive been into the MCU, used to love it and your videos are hitting a lovely spot between nostalgia and a tempting hook of positivity which is bringing me back in 🥰
I'm so sorry you've had to go through such loss, and I just want to say thank you for being so positive in your videos, they really help me when im stressed and want to calm down ❤
That's so nice of you to say.
Thanks! Had alot of fun putting it together. Can't wait to see what Marvel has in store for us!
Seeing Cyclops go full anime super hero and start screaming louder in order to make his beam stronger was peak TV. This is the Cyclops I hope we get.

@diegoprodriguez Cyclops was so epic. Hope the Phase 7 live action version is just as peak!
@@resurgemas Good catch! Yeah, Okoye was in that image and not Ayo. Big time oops...sorry about that!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback on the vid. And that's a very cool idea to add in the one shots. I agree, they were great!
@@AbitofEverything4U it just feels kinda incomplete without them😅

I am so sorry about your mom and wife. My dad had cancer when he was young, he did survive but it left some painful marks even to this day. He is the reason I love Marvel and Star Wars, it is what has bonded us throughout my life
Was gonna comment the same. Had no idea
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's cancer and I'm glad he survived, but you make a good point that even if you survive, takes alot out of you. I'm so glad he got you into the MCU and Star Wars. Same situation with me and my son as well!

Only 2 placings in so far but I love how honest you are being already. When a bit of everything has something bad to say about a mcu project you know its real😂.
Feels like when that nice teacher gets super mad and you just sit there all confused
lol! Too funny. Yeah, do still enjoy SI and L&T, but man, the parts that are bad are just sooooo bad. Sigh.
26:37 What I find really funny is that I Am Groot Season 2 happens before Avengers Age of Ultron in the timeline which means Groot created an evil robot before the actual evil robot was made
Good point...Maybe baby Groot planted the seeds for what was to become Ultron!
I’m sorry to hear that about your wife and mother. I respect your ability to talk so openly about something like that. I appreciate how much effort you put into your videos, and truly believe you provide the single most comprehensive insight into the inter connectivity in the mcu. Thank you

I got a lot of respect for you doing all this content! It’s so expansive and took a lot of time to compile. Major props

Yeah, Secret Invasion was such a bummer. Definitely a low point for the MCU.
i found your videos during agatha and i was so excited, your commentary is fantastic!!

Oh, now that's a terrific point! I hadn't considered that the title could be referring to all of them collectively. Great observation!
@@AbitofEverything4U Thank you, sir. Thanks for another fantastic video, as well.

Awesome video! Great rankings. It’s crazy how many MCU projects there are now 🤯
Thanks for the feedback. And yeah, I agree...it's amazing how many entries there are in the MCU at this point. Insanity!
2) working well as a standalone (ie - if you were watching with a non Marvel fan would they be able to enjoy it?)
3) significance (ie - is it a must see chapter, that advances the meta story?)
4) rewatchability (this is where Ragnarok excels most, IMO).
I really love watching your videos, you've got such a welcoming presence

I understand peoples frustrations with Thor Love and Thunder but I would argue the strength of the romance and cancer storyline makes up for the silly humour and lack of screen time for Gorr. My favourites of the MCU include Infinity War, Endgame, Guardians Vol.1, Thor Ragnarok and Loki
Good points about L&T. I do like the movie for the good things it gave (romance, cancer story, and some epic Gorr fights) but the silly humor still really hurts it for me in the overall ranking. But you are right...it's not a terrible movie overall.

Wow, I can't Imagine the work that went into ranking all 65 MCU projects at once, this is mad impressive!
Here's my personal top 10
1. Guardians Vol.2
2. Daredevil
3. Guardians Vol.3
4. Infinity War
5. The Avengers
6. Guardians Vol.1
7. Loki
8. Civil War
9. Endgame
10. Ragnarok
A lot of these choices have less to do with the "Quality" of each movie, and more just how much I enjoy them.
Thanks so much!
oh yeah, I was waiting for this video for some time now, love it
Awesome! Glad you liked it. It was fun to put together!
Yeah, Secret Invasion moving over to a branch would be a gift from above!
There’s quite a bit I disagree with this ranking, but I do really appreciate the higher ranking you gave to iron man 3. The villains are weak, but the rest of the film quite good. I really like how it develops Tony’s character. The Mandarin twist works well and works even better since Shang Chi came out.
I agree...Iron Man 3 is definitely underrated. Lots to love about that film!
That's a really good point. It would have been very cool to see what things would have looked like if he hadn't been blipped!
1:36:50 Yeah I loved how Dr Doom showed up in this movie it perfectly set up his villainous role for Avengers Doomsday
lol! I didn't notice I said that. Too funny!
I thought it was really interesting that marvel was willing to make Agatha the lead without feeling compelled to fully redeem her. It felt weird including Deadpool and Wolverine on the list but not the other Deadpool movies. I get the reason but it still feels weird.
Yeah, I need to add in the Sony and Fox movies at some point. That would be fun!
Definitely enjoyed the list, it makes me want to try and make up my own scoring system and make my own ranking. Someday!
Yeah, it's fun to try to score the movies and shows. Something for you to consider on a rainy day down the road!
I'm loving your videos man. Tha longer tha better too. Your very soft and well spoken speaking intelligently on sum i like juss as much as you seem to
I'm really loving tha videos man 🙌🏿✌🏿
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. That's so nice of you to say. Great to hear that the longer vids are okay. I get worried about the length, so I try to keep most in the 10 to 20 minute range. But this one was definitely a long one!
I really hope we get more Hulk-centric projects in the future! Loved this video
I agree...Cap 4 is a good start, and I hope we get more after that!
thor bookending your movie list is so funny, but also very valid. i enjoyed hearing your rationale for each placement. my opinions aren’t that different from yours. i got a lot of crocheting done during this video so thanks for that!
Good point...it was amnesia rather than mind control. And I can't believe I said Dr. Doom. Lol!
It had some of the best acted scenes in the MCU but the larger plot really fell flat
if it got leaked the show was written by AI, i'd believe it
Totally agree...so much potential for it to have been good. Sigh.
0:29 THAT explains it. I was surprised that your video would be this long without changes, but 13 new entries would do it…
Right! Adding in 13 season of the Netflix shows, plus ofc the new entries from 2024, was crazy...but it was alot of fun as well!
1:29:46 there is one singular tree with Loki watching over all of the timelines that exist. There’s only one.
Marvel has a bad habit of hitting villians who should have more than just one move with the good ole 1 and done.
Yep...definitely agree!
Wanda in MoM is a 25 I mean she was using the Darkhold it corrupted her - Wanda is awesome character no matter what
Wanda rules! I love her so much. Really hope we see her again soon!
I’m a little confused as to why you are lowering the score of villains who were really evil. They are supposed to make you uncomfortable.

Great list! Loved reading it all. Thanks for sharing it!
The setup for demon in the bottle was laid in iron man 2. They completely dropped the ball in three by using his suits as a metaphor for his addiction
Thank you for your vulnerability. Your content is so engaging
Thanks! I really appreciate you saying that. That's definitely my goal!
Great list! Agree on the general placements of the entries; how spoiled are we to have this much content to be ranking in the first place :')
Great point! Yeah, it's amazing the MCU has given us so much!
I am so glad that WandaVision was a perfect 100! I love the show so much! Every time it gets to episode 8 I can’t hold back tears. Such a beautiful show!
That's so cool to hear you say that. Yeah, Wandavision moves me every time I watch it. Such an incredible story!
Nice list. I have Daredevil as my top show but I have collected it for 30 years. Loved Thor Ragnarok too.
Yeah, Daredevil was soooooo good. Can't wait to see him again in DD: Born Again!
@@AbitofEverything4U that's really weird considering it's 616 coulson and fury and it's really helps tie in the hydra turn in winter soldier
Right...I do hope Marvel changes their mind on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at some point.
Oh boy, gonna watch this one in chunks thoughout the week; 2 hours is insane!
ikr? Yeah, this one about broke me. Definitely feel free to watch it in chucks when you need something playing in the background.
I agree...I'd prefer either Old Man Steve or Hydra Cap. Both would be pretty cool!
Excellent ranking 👏
Thanks! Had alot of fun putting it together.
47. Ms. Marvel (I love most of the things you mentioned but those villains and time travel reeeally killed it for me)
46. The Incredible Hulk
45. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
44. Captain America: The First Avenger
43. Thor
42. Ant-Man and the Wasp
41. Captain Marvel

4. Spider-Man: No Way Home
3. Loki
2. Avengers: Endgame
That's very nice of you to say. Thanks so much!
I think my MCU ranking would have to be:
1. Loki [S2]
2. Avengers Endgame
3. Spider-Man No Way Home
4. Avengers Infinity War
5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3
6. Loki [S1]
7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2

And for the phases:
Phase 5
Phase 3
Phase 4
Phase 1
Phase 2
Very good top 10 list. And I'm really liking Phase 5 as well. I'm surprised I like it as much as Phase 3!
love this
Thanks! Really appreciate the positive feedback!
I think your list is awesome
Thanks so much. Had alot of fun putting it together!
You’ve become one of my go to channels now the last year. My thoughts go out to you on the loss of your wife and mother ✊🏾
That's very nice of you to say. Yeah, cancer is an evil, evil beast. But my son is a constant reminder of my wife and he loves the MCU, so we have alot of fun watching it together!
Holy shit. *grabs popcorn and prepares for a mammoth video*
lol! Thanks for watching!

5. Druig and Makkari
6. Thor and Jane
7. Bruce and Betty
8. Cap and Peggy

Do this for star wars live action! Add in the animated if you want awesome video!
Oh, now that would be very cool indeed!
I’m pretty sure in infinity war they did tell star-lord to wait that they almost had the gauntlet off
Good question!
Love that explanation! That'll be my headcanon until we get a firm answer from Marvel!
Finally, someone else’s favorite film is Ragnorok
Niiiiice! Glad you have it ranked atop your list as well!
My top 10 films…
Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers Assemble
Avengers: Endgame
Captain America: Civil War
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Iron Man
Doctor Strange
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Deadpool & Wolverine
Captain America: The First Avenger
My bottom 5 films…
> Thor: Love And Thunder (one of the worst films I’ve ever seen)
> Thor: Ragnarok (I just hate what Taika Watiti did to the character)
> Eternals (BORING!)
> GOTG 3 (nothing about it worked for me)
> Iron Man 2 (just treading water until Avengers)
My top 5 shows…
> Agents of SHIELD
> Daredevil
> Jessica Jones
> WandaVision
> Agatha All Along
My bottom 5 shows…
> Echo
> She-Hulk
> Inhumans
> Iron Fist
> Falcon And The Winter Soldier
Very good lists! Great to see Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so high up there!
I’d like to see you add in the Sony movies and fox movies to your ranking but I get that would make it even more difficult
I agree...I need to consider that for the future.
It’s tough to rank the phases since there are positives and negatives for all of them, but I think I’ll go with this:
1. Phase 3
2. Phase 4
3. Phase 2
4. Phase 5
5. Phase 1
I’m assuming phase 5 will move up after it concludes though!
Yeah, I've got phase 5 pretty low as well, but I agree, I think it will keep moving up with the new entries in 2025.
Yeah, I think that would be fun to do. I need to give it a whirl at some point!
2 comments on the same video because why not
I think I was commenting with a friend yesterday about how cool would it be if Cap 4 were named "World War 3" and it would be the payoff for all that "grounded military stigma" that marvel has been putting us through dueing phase 4 (sharon being the power brooker, then the ten ringa being under new direction, wakanda and namor joining forces, fisk being mayor of new york) that war declaration from the president would piss off the new asgardians too, add that to val gathering super soldiers for her espionage schemes.
It'd one HELL of a movie, but it doesnt looks like these groups are gonna fight eachother in the end, oh well XD
I agree...that would be awesome!
OMG Infinity War is. MCU Masterpiece I have a pathological love of this movie but okay as it is your list 🤷🏻♀️😎
Yeah, that's very fair. I agree, the end of Punisher, season 1 was pretty insane.
Early Christmas gift with this video 😂, happy holidays!
Wishing you happy holidays as well!

I'd find it hard to pick an absolute favourite number one :D
Edit to add: I forgot to put Loki S1 & S2 in there too, absolutely perfect shows. Just an unbelievable franchise! (PS: Marvel, make AoS canon again!)
Yeah, I agree...it's very hard to pick a favorite. And I agree, I hope Marvel gives AoS a second look at being canon. Great show!
Infinity war and Civil War at place 18th and 19th is criminal
Yep, you are definitely in the majority in your feeling about both of those movies. I see them in the top 5 on most people's rankings. fwiw, each year they have moved up abit in the list for me, so yeah, I probably still have them too low. I just like those others alot better. But I truly do appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I really think people overhate age of ultron just because the other 3 avengers movies are elite, ultron is one of the most interesting marvel villains (im biased i love james spader)
Yeah, I agree...it does get over-hated. I like it. It's not my favorite Avengers movie, but it has alot to love.
