  • This is the start of a series on the 1/1200 Langton Miniatures range of Naval Napoleonic ships from the age of sail.
We are starting an Age of Sail project and will collect and paint and play wargames with 1/1200 Langton miniatures ships, up to and including Trafalgar.
Wargames Guru Is a site dedicated to all things Table top wargaming.
We will be posting Battle Reports for, American Civil War, ACW in 28mm, War of the Roses, never mind the billhooks, WW2, Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle, LOTR SBG, Dragon Rampant, Gunfighters Ball, Wild West, and other wargames.
We will also be posting reviews of wargaming shows such as Salute and Partizan, plus interviewing traders.

Great unboxing, just ordered my first Anglo-Dutch war range miniature yesterday, the lady that took the order is indeed very friendly and helpful.
They look incredibly detailed for the scale.

thanks for doing these vids. There's very little on Naval sail miniatures at this scale on you tube.
We are currently using Langtons models for GMT Games "Flying Colors". We had a large 5'x8' hex sea mat printed and the game works brilliantly with some of the play aids from board game geek. For smaller Frigate actions we use the old Avalon Hill Wooden ships and Iron men. We've also tried both "Trafalgar" ruleset (a little too simple) and "kiss me hardy" by too fat lardies which is excellent but more complicated than we wanted as a gaming group

Tempting! I guess like a lot of people it's always seemed a little intimidating. Like yourself, I would want to do a really good job and they look amazing when done correctly. Looking forward to how you get on and will see how my budget works out the next few weeks.

For sure. It's been in my mind for decades since an episode of The Avengers funny enough.
