03-AALIYAH NEXT Mod Preview - Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon

Right after the White Glint mod comes the 03-AALIYAH NEXT frame, most famously used by top Lynx Berlioz in Armored Core 4. That game's intro went hard on so many levels, and practically introduced me to the world of Armored Core even before getting invested in V/Verdict Day.
This mod replaces the MELANDER C3 parts set by default along with the IA-C01B: GILLS Booster, the EARSHOT Grenade Launcher as the OGOTO Grenade Cannon, the RF-025 SCUDDER Assault Rifle as the 051ANNR (returning from the White Glint mod) and the RF-024 TURNER Assault Rifle as the 04-MARVE. As usual, you can change parts IDs at your leisure with the GitHub reference list: github.com/paylhorse/ac6-parts

This video shows exactly what i'm aimed for when i made NMR, AC4 but in AC6.
Thank you for making the mod and regularly updating it! Not much was shown in this preview, but the full showcase definitely features NMR gameplay, you can be sure of that.

The funny thing: ACVI's combat speed is close to how Aaliyah is shown fighting in the AC4 opening movie.
and ACVI gets even closer in combat because punching is now a thing
now… i just hope we can stab enemies with guns that have sharp edges to them as some sort of substitution for the regular boost kick
Speed maybe but not acceleration. These things move like they're made of paper.

Seeing this reminds me why I still prefer ACfA (and Primal Armor ) over AC6, I hope we will get a few parts inspired by this in the future.
I just slap on the coral shield and pretend I got primal armor
sadly that still uses up a weapon slot , maybe someone will find a way to implement primal armor as an expansion slot@@quasadra

Likely not possible but I would love it if the 00-ARETHA could be made as a mod, even down to the size difference.

They're adding new parts. The frame parts in question are more glass cannon build types but I'm hopeful and grateful for more. Gotta love the new weapons though, I am hyped fo sho!
Aaliyah is far from a glass cannon. It has a solid PA to rush in while ignoring glacing hits to slash and stab close up. Its a Mid-Light than a light like lahire or sobrero and latona
I was referring to Armored Core 6 but Yea, I remember Aaliyah being a fast ground type model that excelled at closing the distance but the way movement worked in AC4 and ACFA, it was always better to stay airborne.@@Errorcutive

I wish I could get this mod on console ❤. I'm starting AC4 and FA and Aaliyah is the frame I'm gonna rock. Fingers crossed we get some sort of legacy pack for AC6, this is really amazing work the modder did.

How are pc players not talking about this more, they literally have a unique version of the game exclusive to them and honestly has pvp potential

Sorry for the late response: by using ModEngine2, you launch the game without Easy Anti-Cheat, which means you can only play offline.

The last time I played a mech game was Mech Assault 2 when I was 10 years old. This game look promising, how highly would you recommend?
8 to 9 out of 10 personally. Despite its limitations such as less parts variations, less powerful assault armor compared to primal armor, etc; it's pretty much a very fun game. (also hats off for adding non-competitive PVP section which we can challenge it for fun and testing builds with others)

They're not missiles, they're supposed to be flare extensions. It's only cosmetic, because there are no flares in Armored Core VI.

No. Using ModEngine2 makes the game launch without EAC.
