Glad I stumbled upon Mark's presentation. When I was a photo editor at Rolling Stone, Mark dropped his book off and I gave him a job I think that next week ( I wish I could remember exactly the shoot but I think it was college kids and spring break--the pics were so much fun and alive). We continued to work together for a few years. To me, Mark seemed to work harder than any other person I hired back then. And his pictures never disappointed. Photo editors of course first look for a great vision and style but the icing on the cake is a photographer who can get the shoot done with minimal hand-holding and just come back later with great images. This is how Mark worked. Always positive and happy and productive. He has such an impressive body of work.

Rather an eclectic lot of photographs. When I think of a recognised style in photography, I think of it as a conversation where the voice of the person is recognised.
Here it seemed like a collection of random thoughts.
Drew Barrymore dancing with a Sumo Wrestler compared to a woman standing on a spiral staircase on a beach, engaging with a Giraffe - as you do.
I'm left thinking the inside of this man's mind must be like a lumber room, or a Bower bird's nest filled with shiny and unrelated objects.
