My aunts were born @1910 and wore the jewelry and fashions of the 1920s and 1930s when they were young women. I got to play dress up as a kid in the 1960s with their old art deco influenced shoes, purses and jewelry🥰🥰. I grew up in NYC and stared at the art deco and art nouveau styled buildings and skyscrapers and daydreamed about living during that exciting time period. I have loved and collected art deco and art nouveau era jewelry for over 40 years! These pieces are still the most beautiful and well made items in my jewelry collection. Your video was lovely and proves that costume jewelry holds great value.

I just looked up your channel after watching Derral‘s live stream (I also participated in the challenge and I am in the thrifting niche) - I have been wanting to educate myself on vintage jewelry, you are so knowledgeable- that’s amazing! I live in Germany and our flea markets are slowly opening back up and I can‘t wait to hunt down some good gems. I didn’t even know we had so many known Art Deco brands! I am more knowledgeable when it comes to mid century decor and vintage fashion, so Art Deco is quite new to me.
I just love the Deco period. As always, I learn so much from you. I think this is my 2nd time watching this video. Thank you for introducing me to jewelry that I was unaware of. I am particularly interested in the Jakob Bengel. It doesn't look like the jewelry is marked. Reminds me of Juliana - D&E in that you have to read the characteristics of the pieces. Bengel jewelry, from what I have researched on platforms like Ebay, seems to be clamped and linked a certain way. Even the finials on the link pins have a certain look and style. I know I have probably seen this stuff, but didn't pick it up, because I look at jewelry in local thrift stores every day, estate sales and anywhere I go.

Wonderful video! And you were right the on first time with the pronunciation of Kreisler . Here's a lil trick when reading in German. You alway's look at the "e"i and "ie" vowel placement! You prounce the word by using not the first vowel, but the second vowel. So, if it Kriesler you would say Cree- Sler ....But because it's spelt "EI" you say Cry_sler. And by the way it mean's Spinning top, lol! Again, amazing video!! I just wish you showed the back of the brooches so we can see fastener's. If it doesnt have a C- catch or a thrombone, i'm alway's stumped!
