    I purchased a 2006 2 years ago with 1087miles on it. The owner stated the guy he bought it from was scared shitless, the fella I bought it from states the bike wasn’t scary per day but to much for him. I love it, and use it as a daily driver!

    Don't know if it still holds true but when M109R came out it claimed:
    "Huge 112 mm (4.4 in) forged aluminum-alloy pistons. These are one of the largest reciprocating gasoline engine pistons being used in any production passenger car or motorcycle"

    @4:48 you mention adding a windshield, then a few seconds later said the wind wasn't bad. I have a 2019 M109R that sat at the dealership for a year. I bought it in May 2020 with 4 miles on the clock. 20 months later I'm at 21,500 miles. I added a windshield almost a year ago and the amount of wind it takes off your head and chest is huge, especially if you're doing a long trip.

      Thats sounds so nice. 2019 is my favorite year for the 9! I love the white with blue racing stripe for that year. How many miles you have on it now? Hows it holding up today? Whats the color schema?!

      Omega_Dawg SuperQue After 3 years (37 months), I'm at 39,938. Got the Black/Red color. Right now, need front rotors. The one on the gear shifter side is loose. The other side is solid but gotta replace 'em in pairs. That's the only issue I've had. What about you?

      @@exlimited3938 thanks for replying. I just sold my R6 and looking for something more comfortable and easy on my back but want to be able to call upon the horses of power when i need it. My back hurts so im looking for my cruiser life.
      Ive been doing alot of research rn and keep coming back to the 2019 even though im realizing that theres no change each year since ~2012 except color. Dont know how true that is.
      I fear my impatience getting the best of me bc theres a 16 gun metal gray boss, in my local shop rn that's been there for 4 months. Just may pull the trigger after all. But really want that white/blue. I like how reliable people say they are.

    I have an ‘07 M109R (M1800R as it’s called here in U.K.) It’s all completely stock, except I’ve added a V Stream screen and engine bars. It’s a fabulous bike. My only regret is that it doesn’t have ABS so I’m a little wary taking it out in the wet, which we get a lot of here. We have a lot of twistiest in the Welsh hills near me, and I’ve taken it on those roads many times, and Ive learned the scary way that you need to plan ahead and set it up right for those bends, because of the length, ground clearance and that 240mm rear tyre that wants to keep the bike upright and straight. I’ve scraped the pegs on several occasions, but once you know the limits it’s fine. It’s a bit of a handful to manoeuvre on the driveway, you need to park uphill or nose out. But you soon adjust to those things, and the sheer presence of the bike and the sensation you get from it easily outweighs all of them. The max distance I’ve done in one day is 400 miles, and it was absolutely fine and comfortable, probably the screen helped. Id have no qualms about long distance touring on it, except for the limited luggage capacity (I have rigid leather saddlebags, just enough for some bare essentials if you don’t mind travelling light.) I also have a Kawasaki z1000SX which is also awesome in its own way, but if I could only keep one it would have to be the M109R, because it gives me what I got into motorcycling for in the first place.

    It's not just your area. You don't see these around for some reason.
    For how much bike you get for the money, I'm not sure why more people don't own one.

      @@Burzurk1987 the fat bob is a nice bike. But it can't match the performance of the 9.
      It handles good for a big girl. With exhaust it sounds great. And it'll walk away from any M8 114 with ease, especially with a tune.

    • @billsfabworks3188
      @billsfabworks3188  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Power commanders take information from a tune and use that information to send different perimeters to the components like fuel injectors to make the bike run better without altering the factory computer.

    How does it handle for real??? Too expensive. 15k? I'd go with a shadow for 4k. Keep the rest for after WWIII.

      Handles great! That rear tire is noticeable but not bad at all. Cool thing is this bike was 4,700 they made a bunch of em so you can still find them at good deals in multiple years and they still make them! Shadows are cool though I had a few
