      @@LockNoob Do these picks and .022 inch thick picks warp or straighten out after prolonged uses because they are thinner metal?

      @@Emily-pd2hi hi, I’m not sure what you mean by warp and straighten out exactly, but you should take care not to bend your tools. If you do, with care, you can bend them back, but this will cause metal fatigue over time leading to breaks. All picks do this though, and Law Lock Tools use very good steel

    £60 for a 24 piece kit (that's including the case) ain't bad for a quality pick set. That works out at £2.50 for each bit, and with the discount £2.25 is even better.

      @@LockNoob i have a question for you. i seen BEST locks and found one friday discarded and no longer being used. it is a 7 pin and i kinda sorta picked it, but was able to pick the control key portion and not picked the shackle part of it, does that constitute as a pick? i honestly am quite stunned, i know its not the actual lock, but as a slight confidence booster i consider it a halfway there pick. i would like to know if it is easy to decode the bitting for the control key as well in the inquiry. any information you may have to help me on my journey would be excellent

    Shame that I didn't find this kit before buying my Multipick 11 set. This seems to have so much more useful stuff for an awesome price! Now I'll end up with a frankenstein of a kit from different manufacturers but I guess that's most of us. I would exchange the case for the Sparrows comp case though and expand this kit from there.

      @@LockNoob - The Increment Pro set looks very nice, but it's not quite the same as two of the Valyrian sets (normal and thin) with one set of tension tools and without the curvy picks, but it looks very nice.
      www.lawlocktools.co.uk/Lock-Picking-Sets/The-Increment-Pro-Lock-Picking-Set
      I'd probably still opt to buy both Valyrian sets for £10 less, and have a spare set of tension tools (I somehow lose those more often than I should) and a couple of sets of the curvy picks I may not use, although I'd probably like them if I gave them a chance.

    Out of my price range, but WOW what a nearly perfect kit. I love those hybrid rake/hook combination picks.
    Those are also my 3 favorite rakes, except I prefer my snake to be offset more. Excellent selection of hooks! And the best part is the tension wrenches. So many kits ignore the tension wrenches, but they are the most important part of the kit (IMHO). You can't pick it if you can't tension it properly without the wrench getting in the way and I see this kit has a great selection of tensioner including TOK wrenches.
    😓shame I'm on a budget.

    Nice set at a good price point. Love that there's both BOK and TOK tensioners in there, which is refreshing. I love that the handles are that long and that would nearly convince me to buy it. But the handles are exactly why I wouldn't. I don't think I would like having .5mm thin handles. Give me the same set with sandwich handles at a higher price and I'm in. This one comes close, but it's no cigar as they say

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they offer the sandwiched handles at 0.025.... you could always shrink tube some on?

    • @saschaschneider6355
      @saschaschneider6355 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LockNoob yeah, I could do that but given that I'd have to add roughly 2mm in order to reach the thickness of sandwiched handles that'd be 4 tubes on top of each other, 8 in total in order to cover the whole length. Doing that for every pick is a rather tedious and annoying process that I'd like to avoid. Stacking shrink tubes also looks bad and I know that would bother me sooner or later
      I mean, I could create cool handles from resin/micarta or Suguru/Oogoo or 3D print them... but if I start doing stuff like that I could simply do the same thing for my Multipick set and thereby extend their handles - which means that I wouldn't buy another set to begin with
