Railfanning Martinez Amtrak Station 12/28/2016

Here is another video I made of Amtrak and Union Pacific trains in Martinez, CA. The line I went to was the Union Pacific line consisting Union Pacific and Amtrak trains. The MRVSJ ocasiannlly goes by there, but today it may have taken it's normal route, the Altamont Pass. I've also caught an HLCX GP38-2 on a power move. I also have some shots were you can hear the defect detector on the radio. The defect detector is next to the station. Enjoy!

What does it mean for an engine to be foreign power?

Mr. AWESOME!!! Foreign power is basically power from another railroad. For example, if you see a CSX engine on a BNSF train, the CSX engine is a foreign power since it's from another railroad than BNSF.
