It's been a while! I've been running around trying to wrap up school and moving into a new city, so please excuse my inconsistent uploads. I hope this real-time sketch session helps you in any kind of way, whether it's seeing what kind of techniques I used for a variety of different types of sketches, or if it's just nice background noise to you.

This is GOLD. I love these types of videos way better than speed paintings or tutorial, there's something about the beauty of silently observing someone working on their art, I just love it and learned A LOT! Thank you!!

Hope your summer is in full swing and amazing! Because I got a lot of feedback saying that people would rather watch real-time footages of how I go about painting / sketching, I thought this video would be useful! I also got some positive feedback on the no-music editing since it allows you to either have background noise or to turn out your preferred music.

PearFleur i like sketch videos like this. Also, my favorite video of yours is the 14 challenge, both the speedpaint and the voice over. I personally found those especially inspiring.

PearFleur hey! Personally I prefer with the music! I like to watch the video then play it in the background while I draw and occasionally glimpsing! But democratically if people prefer music less ill still watch!
I also prefer hearing you talk! Not only do I find your voice super soothing but it’s move to hear tips and insight along the way

I love the sound that papers with watercolor make. Watercolor makes everything so full. Like the feeling you get when you complete a notebook and it's thick and whole as if it lived its best life.

I don’t know why, but I love watching people’s process through their art, hearing all the materials go on the paper, and hearing the sounds from outside (like a a car driving by every now and then).

I love how the muted green and golden yellow groups of flora look side by side when you finish them around 9:25 ! This is a pretty way to do a negative painting style technique without a background color. I appreciate the inspiration and you taking the time to film all this for us :)

I always put on your videos when I’m painting. Having your videos playing makes me feel like I’m not alone, and puts sound in an empty room. Having music playing is too distracting, but your videos are just perfect. Thank you so much!

Our definitions of "real time" clearly differ. Mine doesn't include constant time jump cuts. That's like, the OPPOSITE of real time. :(

Hello there, I like the sketch with me videos a lot. Do for me the silence was not working. It felt more like an awkward situation than anything else. When I put my own music on I tend to forget looking up at the screen. But when someone speaks I do remember and enjoy watching the progress being made. Also, I love people explaining what they're doing, the decisions they're making with their pieces and such things. I'll look into the rest of your stuff, hopefully, you have some you do talk in. :)
Can you please do a video on how to improve your art! Most people say draw a lot, and that's what I do, but I don't think I'm improving :(
ps. I love these types of videos! I feel like I learn more carefully observing rather than just hearing a description :) and it was nice that you gave us the option to watch the video in relative silence. Beautiful editing as always ✨
At first I was thinking, wouldn’t you put music over instead of having traffic noise but this actually turned out to be so relaxing, especially the pencil sketching

Yours is my favourite youtube channel. I really enjoy to see people drawing, the way you move your hand is almost magical to me. Someday i will know how to draw too but for now i’ll just sit here to admire what other people can do.
I love how real your sketchbook is. A lot of artists have sketchbooks which are just like all finished pieces with no experimentation.
I really like this type of video where you just paint in real time with no annoying music. But my only suggestion would be that you talk just a little bit just so we know what your about to paint maybe.
