Well, finally a normal looking sketchbook... All the sketchbooks I've seen online are so neat and perfect that don't look like sketches at all, they look like final pieces and it's honestly disheartening. So thank you for this, thank you so very much!
Secure the bag but just FYI BetterHelp is currently being fined by the FTC for leaking customer information (incl mental health info) to Facebook etc and lost a class action lawsuit that ordered them to pay out 8 million dollars to customers affected. They've done a really good job covering it up but it's definitely worth thinking about accepting sponsorships down the line. That said, I also know that sponsorships are make or break for channels like this so, This sketchbook vid was fun, the fish really brought me back to the crayola fishes! That video really stuck with me as pushing me into get into watercolor again!
@@hiimlolo4140 i feel like that's a bit extreme, but i see where you're coming from. i think it's unfair that a sponsor like this is as harmful as it is, but it's even less fair when you're trying to make a living and you don't have that many options at all and have to rely on seedy companies like this. securing a sponsorship like this is difficult, esp for smaller channels/channels with sporadic uploads (like this one). it's a shame, but I hope people know not to use betterhelp en lieu of finding other means for seeking out mental health help (which should be more accessible in the first place, anyway).
a tip for gouache palettes to stop the cracking is to add/mix a least 3-4 drops of gylcerin to the fresh groche you squeezed/ added to your palette. this also helps similar opacity (to fresh gouche) with you rewet your palette.

Try washi tape with ur art pieces! It’s easy on paper so when ur ready 2 peal it off it won’t rip ur paper up & it protects against multiple layers of wet media👍💝

Is there any worry in gauche cracking? I understand it makes paint more likely to fall out of the pallet but does it heavily affect a drawing?
