Art journaling is so interesting, i’m going to keep going at it and adding new spreads..would you like to see more videos on what i do with this book? let me know!
The whole BUJO trend has always seemed so heavy and like a ton of pressure to me...to get stuff done and to track 20 things and make it look good in the process. Ick. This is the first one I have seen that seems like a pleasure and a great way to fit creativity into everyday, even if only in a small way. I would love to see another video like this.
The bullet journal system isn't supposed to look good or be 'pretty' I suggest for you to watch the original bullet journal made by the creator you'll see how simple it is supposed to be
Christy Fantino look at the original bujo videos. Decorating comes after the functionality. Also, every kind of journaling depends on the person, so please don’t put a not so nice comment about something lots of people like and enjoy on a perfectly fine video.
Calindra Does Stuff I think even the functional bujos are so into tracking and doing tons of things and not allowing creativity. That’s what the op means. Like the minimal bujo peeps kind of ‘shame’ creative bujo artists.
Its nice to know that there are other full time students out there who do art but dont major in it like I do. Honestly I thought I was the only one for the longest time but now I know there are others out there too
we are not alone for sure haha! a lot of my friends in my major also tell me that they would like to draw more often but cant find the time to..i’ve been keeping up with this journal for a couple days now and i always do it at night after i’ve done all my schoolwork and it only takes me thirty minutes ish to finish doing it for the day which is nice. plus its a good way to unwind after a busy work day haha
Do you have an art journal? How do you like to use it? and..speaking of schoolwork... i’m spending all day today catching up on school stuff aanndd you know im bound to get distracted anyways so leave any questions you have for me and i’ll try to respond to them all!
PearFleur i use my sketchbook for both art and journaling. I tend to waste books by using may all at once and not filling it completely. I like to have my sketchbook maintain a theme and be consistent so being able to write comic stuff in it helps a lot. (Also what do you major in?)
well my art journal is more journal than art I guess but I mostly write in there and decorate it with tapes and stickers and a few drawings as for my writing its mostly for myself and I usually talk about creative subjects movies songs but mostly art struggles/problems or what I enjoy about my art process it its a nice way to vent and gets me thinking about how I draw which has helped me more than you would think plus sometimes I write about likely future plans just to get it out of my system its a nice way of venting
PearFleur I’d love a part two because i need the functionality of bullet journaling but i want the freedom of art journaling and as a student it would be so much easier to fuse the two
i have a bullet journal i used mostly for journaling/planning but now that i noticed i'm not much of a writer i fill it up with paintings. for this school year i'm going to use a half sized blank sketchbook to force myself to be more creative :E I rely too much on structure haha
I love this so much and would love a part 2!! I am also a student not studying art but it’s something I am passionate about and it is so hard to find time for it through all the work and stress. I’m going to try to get more into art journaling
i've been against bullet journaling because i thought why spend time making my planner look pretty when i could actually be working, but i LOVE the idea of doing thumbnail sketches every day as weekly and monthly spreads, in this specific space as a diary.
creekkidart i think this is a huge problem w the popular representation of bullet journals. they aren’t just a “pretty planner” and they aren’t just for artsy people; a lot of ppl (+ the OG bujo guy!!) have a rlly minimalistic bujo that’s just for productivity. i think that view is a big problem that also intimidates people out of trying bullet journaling, sadly... at the end of the day a bullet journal should be your personal organizational system that can handle anything you throw at it!! (sorry for my bad english)
i think you're right about a lot of people thinking of it that way. I actually saw the minimalist looking ones before the artsy ones, My issue is that i only have so much mental energy, so i don't want to spend it on organizing or making a cute planner from scratch because im not naturally minimalist or organized and i have ugly hand writing lol. But i never thought of combining art journaling with practice with bullet journaling, so i think this approach is really cool!
I thought so for the longest time but I started bullet Journaling last year and it has been life changing. I don't make it pretty 😂 just nice squares and rectangles that will help me keep track of things and divide my time
I used to have an Art Journal that I used as a diary since I suck at writing out my day with words. It helped me improve my quick sketching and made me think more creatively. I keep a seperate dotbook journal because my therapist told me I needed to write out my daily schedule hour by hour to feel less overwhelmed and clearly outline the time I had available in the day. It worked. But it takes up a lot pages per month so I want to incorporate this idea with my current journal and maybe do more than one book for the year. Thanks for the inspiration!
Does anyone else just get SUPER inspired to do stuff? Because today is one of those days people. I’ll definitely take some inspiration from this video and start an art/bullet journal.
This is honestly so amazing and creative. I keep a really structured bullet journal in order to keep up with school, and sometimes because of the hectic schedule I feel like I've neglected art and my sketchbook. That doesn't have to be the case anymore, now that I'm inspired to make my journal more artsy and fluid.
I’d love to hear more of your story being a student of a field other than art, whilst maintaining your artistry (and amazing TH-cam channel). Maybe that’s for part two!
I tried to do a bullet journal last semester and I fell off of it because I kept to templates instead of being expressive. I love this video so much, your art journal is so inspiring and creative. It would be much appreciated if you did a part 2
part 2 would be amazing!!! not only are your art journaling vids super pretty and relaxing to watch, they really help me with my creative block when it comes to journaling. i always get stuck and don't really know what to do
Please do a part 2!!!!! I’ve been keeping a journal and incorporating doodles but I like that this is slightly more structured than what I’ve been doing.
I'm horrible at keeping up with bullet journals. They have always seemed more like a chore than a helpful tool. But I haven't thought about applying so much art to it before, rather than just planning in it, so this is a really refreshing video! I may have to try my hand at some art/bullet journaling again in the future...
Please to part 2!! I think you've convinced me to start bullet journaling. I think I've been putting been putting it off because I just hate not being creative enough to come up with my own things and I feel bad using other people's ideas.
I adore art journals. I haven't done one since I got my degree. But I did make a sketchbook to do a drawing a day. Next year I'm going to use paper that can handle paint, I didn't think about it last year. Awesome ideas. I would love to see a flip through when it is complete at the end of the school year.
That monthly doodle thing is such a genius idea because i love to draw but sometime i take too much times to draw once a day. But with such small canvas, i might probably be able to do it!
I’d love a part 2!! Finding time for art in school is really difficult, but this is a beautiful and fun way to be productive and creative at the same time. Thanks for the inspiration!
your art honestly inspires me so much, and this video has really spurred me to actually want to go out and make the bullet journal that i've been putting off for so long. I love seeing your ideas come together in this and would really love to see a part two sometime!
Part 2, please! This was incredibly motivational and inspiring. And, if you were to begin creating content for Skillshare, and teaching, I will happily join!
I’ve never really wanted to do a ballet type journal until you showed this twist w/ art! I loVE IT. I also struggle with fitting art into my hectic schedule so this will really help me remember what happened rn and also encourage me to be creative. Definitely going to adjust my journal for August!
i'm barely into this video, but it made me so happy to hear of someone who's into art and not an art major on youtube?? i always like to say i want to do art on my own clock rather than as a job, so i'm just really excited to watch your stuff knowing that you're kind of in a similar boat as me.
You have the most relaxing voice ever and your sketches give me this sweet nostalgic feeling... I love watching your videos when I can't sleep because they are so soothing. Thank you so much for your hard work and passion! I've picked up drawing again thanks to you :)
I love how this is actually realistic as opposed to some other art youtubers who seem to do full spreads in their art journals every day.. like who has that type of time?? not me.
I would love to see another video of this! I’ve always had a hard time keeping up with bullet journaling but love the idea of staying organized. This is a great middle ground between art and bullet journaling
Part 2 please 😢 This is so creative yet practical bullet journaling at the same time. I love embellishments in bujo but it is sometimes not realistic for a hectic schedule, yet I think this is very doable and also very therapeutic 🌞🌞
Thank you so much for this video. It really inspired me to see this as a small way to get into drawing again. I used to do the whole shebang: sketch daily, sculpt, do life drawing sessions, landscape drawing/painting... But a bunch of unforseen hardships got in the best of me. I got consumed by stress/depression. So I stopped making art about 2 years ago. It's so intimidating to stare at a blank sketchbook page and think of how your skills got rusty. But combining art with journaling is such a great way for me to break out of the rigid mindset that I'm only making art if I'm making full pictures or doing studies. I'm going to brainstorm ideas of what kind of spreads of I want do. I'm kind of excited 😊
Whoaaa! This looks amazing with just a few pages only, just imagine having the whole journal filled up! I honestly would like to flip through everything, and stare at the pages because it's just so so amazing and colorful. Thanks for this ♡
I've been loooving journalling videos lately, and trying to figure out how to implement their techniques into my sketchbook, so this was really wonderful to see!! Especially because I looove gouache and love to watch your gouache videos. Would love a part 2!
I both love writing and art, but Journalism is what going to be my major in college but now in highschool im in a Special Program in Journalism and honestly Art and Art Journaling is such a stress reliever for my hectic schedule since we campus journalists go to different places. This video is so calm yoj deserve a millions subs!
I am trying to keep an art journal to practice my drawing in hobonichi. Since each page is dated, it keeps me accountable. I am working full time at a job unrelated to art and art journaling is the only way for me kept drawing. I found you video to be very inspiring and please give us part 2 !!
I’m about to receive a bullet journal tomorrow and I’m so excited for it! Seeing this video has been so inspiring too since it makes me want to add some of these pages to my own journaling, I was gonna use it as a bullet sort of planner but an art journal sounds wonderful as well! I’d love to see more of your ideas and if you ever taught a class on Skillshare I’d love to learn from you! You’re on of my top 5 artists that inspire me, especially from your aesthetic and your imagination 💙
I come back her every day cause this is so inspiring and I really have been doing this for a week and it's really great and helpful especially when art block hits you so hard
yes please do a part 2! I love this take on bullet journaling and art journaling mixed together and it's something I am definitely going to try myself! please make a part 2 !!
I started a journal today to see where I can take it. Your ideas were really inspiring, since I don't have much time to draw/sketch/paint with the day job and such. I found the dream log specially interesting! Would love to see a part 2!
I'm also a fulltime student who isn't an art major! It's super hard. Art is my passion but I haven't drawn in so long I have to go back to basics. I like your journal. It's beautiful ♡
I absolutely love this journal, and want to try one myself! A part 2 would be a wonderful resource for those of us who are new to the art journal world. Many thanks for a beautifully created memory book!
this is almost exactly what i was looking for! i've never thought about using colored pencils, as I've only ever seen people use gel pens and expensive markers. i'm going to start one of these for the month of and the months following august, mostly so I don't waste space with only a week of july.
This has helped and inspired me SO much! I’ve watched several videos on journaling and yours has been the only one that has helped. Your ideas are truly easy to do and not time consuming. I’m so excited to do this!
It’s been 3 years but would love to see more! Ive always loved your style and there’s no one else that does art journals like you do! Would love an update on your journaling :)
Why hasn’t youtube recommended your channel to me!! This is so beautiful and inspiring!! I love both painting and journaling but I just can’t find a right way to keep doing both of them at the same time and not giving up. I am definitely going to try this.❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing!!
Yes part 2!! This is brilliant, I like bullet journaling but I feel it lacks that more fluid creative outlet; this is the perfect fusion. Inspiring way to do a little art everyday 💭🌙
I think this is great even for artists to do too! I'm going off to art uni and i think this would be a great tool to look back on and get inspiration for assignments!
I've wanted to make a kind traveling guide for someone but bullet journal style for when they visit my country and your video gave me so much inspiration! I especially love the colours you chose! for my personal guide I am going to divide it in different sections with things to visit, pictures and my personal opinion too :) I really hope it is going to turn out as beautiful as your bullet journal!
I honestly like the idea of making DIY bullet journals (well not the whole) and the idea of making ur own kinda thing to a once plain book to an aesthetic bullet journal to choice! btw i just love ur calm kinda stoic voice :)))
Art journaling is so interesting, i’m going to keep going at it and adding new spreads..would you like to see more videos on what i do with this book? let me know!
SERIOUSLY YOU HAVE MADE MY DIY/BULLET JOURNAL DREAMS COME TRUE
Please!
Yes please!
PearFleur yes please!! 💕

More videos like this please! I'm a mom, have 2 jobs and LOVE art and my bujo, so this is perfect
I tried to do a bullet journal last semester and I fell off of it because I kept to templates instead of being expressive. I love this video so much, your art journal is so inspiring and creative. It would be much appreciated if you did a part 2

I love your videos so much! I never heard of art journaling before! That's amazing I'm going to start RIGHT NOW!
WeroNoYume WOAH I LOVE UR ART
I loved the trick of tearing the washi tape with the ruler if you want a straighter neater edge without resorting to use scissors...
I’d love a part 2!! Finding time for art in school is really difficult, but this is a beautiful and fun way to be productive and creative at the same time. Thanks for the inspiration!

The monthly spread drawings are so pretty and it is such a great idea. Loved it!!
I've been loooving journalling videos lately, and trying to figure out how to implement their techniques into my sketchbook, so this was really wonderful to see!! Especially because I looove gouache and love to watch your gouache videos. Would love a part 2!

it was so therapeutic watching you paint and draw... i hope you do monthly art journal videos!
one of the most aesthetic videos I’ve watched
Your art is so therapeutic. It gives off a childlike dream style which I'm very fond of! Keep up the good work~
I am trying to keep an art journal to practice my drawing in hobonichi.
Watching this video really inspired me to keep creating art, even during the school year. Please do a part two!
I come back her every day cause this is so inspiring and I really have been doing this for a week and it's really great and helpful especially when art block hits you so hard

I started a journal today to see where I can take it. Your ideas were really inspiring, since I don't have much time to draw/sketch/paint with the day job and such. I found the dream log specially interesting! Would love to see a part 2!
you should absolutely do a part two!!
I feel so inspired and blessed now, and since I’ve been rained in all week I might as well try one of these.
I love this idea and doff rant form of “bullet/art journaling” it’s creative and so unique/personalized... I lOVED IT SO MUCH!!! ❤️
Yess !! Do a part2 please!! It was really enjoyable! Thank you. 🙏🙏You are really 🔺cool.
This has helped and inspired me SO much! I’ve watched several videos on journaling and yours has been the only one that has helped. Your ideas are truly easy to do and not time consuming. I’m so excited to do this!
your voice is so soothing i love it please just never stop talking
Art Journaling is "fun", and you have a nice idea on filling the boxes! It's nice! Thanx for showing!
Your voice is just a asmr... GOSH... IT'S SO GOOD!
I love this! Please do another one! These are such great ideas. I don’t keep an art journal, but now I want to
I love this. Please make part 2 if you have time. Thank you.

Everything you touch is perfect.HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
It’s been 3 years but would love to see more! Ive always loved your style and there’s no one else that does art journals like you do! Would love an update on your journaling :)
Definitely definitely make a part two three four five million. Your ideas are amazing! As is your work.
Part 2 please! Everything you've done so far are goals for my art journal and would love to see other ideas!
This really inspired me to try organizing my sketch book! Part 2 please!!!
Great ideas! I am supposed to be taking a nap, but I can’t stop watching your channel. Love the thumbnail sketches/paintings!
everything you do seems so soft omg
ahhh!!! i think we all need an art journal flip through!!!!!
Why hasn’t youtube recommended your channel to me!! This is so beautiful and inspiring!! I love both painting and journaling but I just can’t find a right way to keep doing both of them at the same time and not giving up. I am definitely going to try this.❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing!!
your journal is so cute!! please do a part two!
Your handwriting is absolutely beautiful!
Yes part 2!! This is brilliant, I like bullet journaling but I feel it lacks that more fluid creative outlet; this is the perfect fusion. Inspiring way to do a little art everyday 💭🌙
I’ve never seen any bullet journal like this, so inspiring!
I would really love a part 2 and I want to know how do you continue drawing every day or how do you make it a habit
I think this is great even for artists to do too! I'm going off to art uni and i think this would be a great tool to look back on and get inspiration for assignments!
omg i love so much this idea of bullet journal! please make a part 2 because this is so inspiring
I'm going to try art journaling because of this!! I feel motivated!!
absolutely amazing please part two
Part 2 please! Great video! 🙌🏾🙏🏾
Part two, part two! Please! This was so pretty!
I honestly like the idea of making DIY bullet journals (well not the whole) and the idea of making ur own kinda thing to a once plain book to an aesthetic bullet journal to choice! btw i just love ur calm kinda stoic voice :)))
