Smasher - one I really wish was useful, just imagine if you could use it with the Prob Smacker or the Mint Mace. Sharpshooter - To make it useful, all they would need to do it have the max level of this allow you to retrieve candy arrows instead of downgrading them after being fired. If the sour mutation also reversed the debuff affect that hits you, like poison or those dust attacks, I'm sure it would become a good option for fighting dust mites or terminates. But for now, it's pretty useless.
Reliable friend is easily s tier in my opinion. Reviving someone goes from 6 seconds and can stop the animation and interaction completely if a enemy attacks you, to what feels like a second to revive ur friends.. easily the best mutation to use in boss fights if ur playing in muliplayer..
I love bardic inspiration for multiplayer, when playing multiplayer I tend to stay with the bow just for this. Plus paired with a sleek bard's tudor you debuff enemies around you and heal your team. This is pretty much the best/only support build I can think of in the game.
Im not kidding when i say this, in the ending of the video you said: "hope you all will have a great rest of your day" (i think). And then i bumb my head into a glass with water and it spills all over me and my bed, i was playing a mission in gta v and i stranded my boat. I blew up and lost everything, and then my phone fell and my screen now is broken :D
In most of the mutations, you're spot on, but I want to add some info in a couple of the new ones: Bardic Inspiration: It's B tier if you play alone, A tier if you play with another player, and S tier if you play with 2/3 other players. It's the second best "Support" skill in the game, really close behind Reliable Friend. The only drawback is that you must be somewhat close to each other, so it's meant for Boss fights, MIX.R and Raids, and not so much for exploring/normal play. Dissection Expert: It's B tier at most. Yes, more loot is always cool, but it's really underwhelming in practice. 10% more loot is hardly noticeable in most situations. In average, you need to kill 10 creatures just to get the equivalent of 1 of said creature's loot. Pretty weak if you think about how late in the game you get this. Also, Rascal Rogue completely cannibalizes this perk, see below why. Rascal Rogue: Truly S tier. Each melee attack procks the 2%/5%/10% chance. So for medium/large creatures, this chance for an extra item can get as high as 50%-100% per creature killed in normal play. Making an almost guarantee that you would get an extra item per creature. But that's not all, some rarer trinkets in the game are only possible to get thanks to this perk, so it is mandatory to get them. And you can get the tier 1 and 2 of this perk fairly early in the game by just doing the main quest. You can cheese it even further by equipping yourself with a low tier fast weapon, such as the Pebblet Dagger. And attacking the creature until you get the extra item, and then changing your weapon and finishing it. In short, it is good in normal play and a game changer for farming insect parts/getting trinkets in the mid/late game. Also, there is as a fun but almost useless thing that you can do now. If you like to surprise and win any fight with your friends in PVP or if you are just God awful blocking attacks, you can wear the Black Ant Armor (Complete Set), equip Sour Sensation and Javelineer, and lastly eat a Quesadillantlion/Omelant. With this, you would stack 200% Thorns (Reflect Damage). Assuming you and your PVP friend have the same health, that means you can kill them by just attacking him once and standing still and letting him attack you without doing anything. Really fun.
Rascal rogue isn't NEEDED, you can use sticky fingers instead but it is a good mutation. I don't think I can put it S tier though because I don't use it all the time when playing the game. Dissection expert is different to how you explain it. Each enemy has a mutually exclusive chance for every drop. E.g. Aphids have a 1% chance to drop 6 raw aphid meat with each piece counting as a seperate 1% roll. Dissection expert changes these 6 rolls from 1% to 11% thus HUGELY increasing loot and drops. It doesn't just give 10% more enemy loot drops, that's a bad way of describing it imo
@@paraly5er Yes, Rascal Rogue isn't needed as such in normal play. But if you want to farm insect parts, it is a great addition. Also, I didn't know that's how Dissection Expert worked, I read the wiki and assumed it was just a multiplicative 10% on top of the normal drop rate, and not a flat +10% to everything. So if your Aphid example it's true, then that's a massive increase in drop rate, like actually quite insane. My bad for making the prior claim without testing it more thoroughly first :P
My current widow fang build is using the mant mutation in its spare slot because I just didn’t know what else to put it with but knowing mom genes increases poison damage by an extra 50% is WILD that’s gonna step it up a whole deal Thankyou!
I believe the infected broodmother mutation is good to run specifically with her explosive egg weapon or whatever it is The reason it’s good is the buffs last until the end of the fight and stack consistently until the fight is over So it ends up being an incredibly strong boss killer as long as it’s not the infected broodmother herself that you’re fighting
The buffs last until the end of the fight but proc really rarely. They won't work against the inf brood and the wasp queen flies. By the time I have it the ass man, director and mant are dead. So it can only be used on the Mantis and Brood. The explosive also damages the user if too close so in solo it would be hard to use as enemies always try to get to melee range. Only enemy I could say it may be reasonably good against is the mantis which has a 50% resistance to explosives
Awesome job, I agree with pretty much everything and love how you find uses for underrated mutations. Just one small correction. Sharpshooter is S tier for bosses and A/S tier in general. Bows have two ways to attack: Either stand on a high surface and pick at them without being hit. Then you can stand still. Or, if you are fighting in general or in a boss arena then the fight style is to sprint non-stop in a circle around the boss/enemy to take zero damage while picking it apart. The weapon literally doesn't work without that mutation. You'll be out of stamina and standing still and be seeing the "reload save?" screen without it. 😂 I like melee more than rangee, but yeah, that mutation is amazing.
They buffed MANT. He comes out noticeably more now. I think its bugged though as he will damn near insta kill the Haze boss on Whoa! if you proc him during the fight. Although he hates your weevil pet, just like the spiderlings do, if you have one. Shocking Dismissal doesn't seem to ever proc for me even with the improved proc chance.
You can't get the mant before beating the haze unless in a custom game with all mutations unlocked. He spawns twice as much as before (2% chance now). Shocking dismissal procs when you parry an attack and then makes your next attack electrified
I think assassin is s tier, especially when your trying to get a widow dagger early on because if you use a bone, spider fang or even pebblet dagger, that 15 damage a second doesn't have a damage resist from the widow, so you can hit it once and focus on blocking until the bleed rums out
Another well done video good sir - would love to see a video on style/arch types and mutations. if you are a sword and board player then this, if you are a bow player then this, two handed ... staff and the best weapons for the styles.
This is a good idea I like it and I'm sure plenty of people will scream at me in the comments. Only small issue would be different mutations for different situations, like mithrid for spiders and fresh def for sandbox etc.
I think blade master is THE BEST mutation if you are using any bladed weapons as it is a better version of cardio fan and reduces your damage taken by 30% on 1 v 1 encounters. Basically just frees up a mutation slot, and In certain bosses I have fought recently I have found myself to have TOO MANY mutation slots. just my thoughts.
Agreed it is really good only issue is it only works for swords meaning you would need to use a toenail scimitar only in the late game as it is the best tier 3 sword. Thus if an enemy is resistant to slashing it will be relatively ineffective
yeah i dont think thats what the majority of people experience... 90% of players never even tame one. summons are "bad" because it takes 3 mutations, a trinket, and the bard's bow to complete the summons build. i find leaving mant out to be easiest, so i spawn widowlings, spiders, and wasps for DPS
I’m pretty sure that if your wearing full wasp armour with bardic inspiration, you can summon wasps but that don’t have full wasp health (like the wasp queen wasps), and I’m not sure if you can summon drones, you’ll have to test it
i think that bardic inspiration can give every buff at a time because when i use it with my friends they have every buff and they have like 6 buffs and i dont know where they come from. so i would put it s because ypou can also buff yourself
Currently on my first ever playthrough, and it's probably a known setup, but what I'm running seems pretty busted. I'm on Medium, (All weapons and armour are only level seven currently) with a Tiger Mosquito Rapier, Roly Poly armour, Ladybird Shield, and extra healing from Milk Molars. With this, the only thing I've needed healing items to fight is the Wasp Queen. No, I've not fought the other bosses yet, I just really wanted the Bard's Bow. I'm waiting on my cousin to get back from a trip (today, actually) to go fight the others as it's his first playthrough too. But this makes anything that's not a boss a joke. As long as you can even just block the damage normally, not even perfect parry, you can get more health back than you lost.
@@paraly5er Yeah the regular Broodmother wasn't really a problem, but I still haven't gone after the others yet. I think I'm gonna wait for 1.3's release to do the rest.
9:52 I completely disagree and here’s why. With your health, it is one of the most important things to upgrade and yes, you can upgrade your health with the milk molars, but to become a God in the game you must have as much help as humanly possible in the best way to get help us to get so much health you cannot die Normally, you have two long bars of health, but with meat shield it changes to two and a little bit. Now you might be thinking that that is useless, but in a battle meat shield is literally a shield for those two other bars if that makes any sense.🥩🛡️
Thank you so much for your rankings, you spend a ridiculous amount of time and effort being so methodical and it’s very much appreciated. However, have you considered doing a weapons tier list with full builds? Find the ‘best’ build for a given weapon (say queen helmet, widow armour, candy damage trinket, best mutations which will likely include shocking defence and assassin and mom’s) and test that while the enemy attacks you? Here’s the rationale: a slow weapon doesn’t do it’s ‘on paper dps’ when you need to interrupt your third attack to block, or when you swing and miss because the critter jumped back, the third swing does 3x the damage of the first so missing that is huge, vs missing a dagger swing which is trivial and pointless. Also summon mutations heavily favour fast weapons. Also the time you spend retreating while healing is time spent not doing damage … unless you put poison or bleed or burning or or on target. (Or stabbing like crazy with a tiger rapier which doesn’t care about incoming damage as long as you have stamina and lady bug armour, spicy defence and blade master. Prolly +dmg candy as well) That’s another thing a +15 dmg trinket doesn’t mean much on a weapon you swing each 1.5 seconds for 70 damage but it means crap loads if you swing it multiple times a second. Lastly, try to purposely miss about 1/3 of your perfect blocks when testing. You are a near professional at gaming, lol. Many people, myself included, are happy if we make 50% perfect blocks. First time I did brood mother I think I perfect parried three times total :( still, with the right build (run around with a staff and a tiger rapier, I succeeded) Also, missing the perfect blocks you’ll see how that spear mutation isn’t - completely - worthless. (And why a not insignificant portion of players run with koa armour vs tier 3 content cause they can’t perfect parry without it, sigh. I can’t perfect parry a single attack with a staff without the bloody wizards hat bonus. I still love my staves but … if I’m in serious danger it’s rapier or poison build time, if it’s not immune to poison I realize this would be ridiculous effort, but frankly? We don’t need to know, nor really care, what kills red ants faster ;) . Just pick a handful of critters, say widow, moth, wasps, mantis, brood, wolf spider, infected same, possibly mant and I think that’s about it. Maybe a cluster of 6 ants, what kills them faster could be useful too. Personally I don’t think I will EVER fight an infected brood mother unless they award a bloody light saber for defeating it, lol, just isn’t worth the aggravation for a non hard core player like me to plug the canister. Anyway, I’ll understand if this is too much to ask, but I just thought I’d share my perspective. Thanks again for the video 🙂
Thanks for the detailed comment! Big issue with ranking "best" build is a lot of people have differing opinions on what is the best build for each weapon type, some people heavily favor stamina, some like high health as they can't parry. I do think it is a good idea though and something people have suggested in the past (or at least similar). Like even between singleplayer and multiplayer a build can perform completely differently because of the effects on teammates and the delay on parrying.
Good morning from Germany. First of all I have no idea how old you are but you look young but your videos are very professional and have often helped me in grounded. thanks for that. I have one question. did you already make a video where you explain which "enchantment" is best suited for each type of weapon? I would be very interested before I make a sharp hammer, for example. hope you could understand my google translator english. keep it up. greetings from a fan
Thanks for the kind words. I'm 22 years old and just look young haha. I have made videos in the past explaining which elements are best for each weapon in the game titled "The best "Mint" weapon in grounded". These are a bit old but most of the info is still correct.
Yeah I didn't put too much emphasis on it as most mutations are pretty easy to get. Just spore master and bardic inspiration that can be a bit of a pain
Bardic inspiration is really good in my opinion because my brother and I play and my brother yess it and the bards bow and like the wasp armpit while I attack and I just keep getting buffs which is really good. Very good mutation for a support class. Also love the vid. 😁
Few things about barbarian. 1- its effect activates for like 10 seconds on every hit. Meaning its no longer random or on a long ass cooldown. 2- the healing stacks with other sources. And your base healing I think affects it ? Its a B. More than you give it credit for.
But you can't parry AT ALL while using it so you can only really use it with 1 handed weapons particularly on higher difficulties as the healing won't counter the damage you're taking
@@paraly5er genuine question, how many enemies are you parrying late game ? Theres like. 3. Maybe 4 I can think of, 2 of which are boss, ones.the black widow and the final normal is wasps. If you can..yknow. Parry their bleed shit. Not even sure its possible. Try it in multiplayer as well. It's good but not great. You just look at the drawbacks waaay to heavily.
we just beat the Mantis boss for the 1st time today...all 3 of us had rascal rogue mutation on... one of us got the 1% trinket drop off the mantis....very lucky
blademaster is honestly such a goated mutation. i only recently started using a sword when i decided to try out some other weapon types and mutations post-1.0. the removal of the exhaustion timer is absolutely insane and basically spells out infinite stamina. i used to go all out with a full stamina loadout in attempts to maximize DPS but there is literally no point when you're using blademaster. pair this with the fact that swords appear to be a very viable choice throughout most stages of the game and how easily obtainable it is, and you wind up with an incredibly solid mutation. if you're willing to use a sword, it is easily better than any stamina alternatives. BLADEMASTER NUMERO UNO!!! 🏆🏆
Will you make a new video about buffed ibm? She is so hard now the second phase is so annoying she keep jumping and screaming her dust is op just she is broken now
It seems to me, that since I'm at the end of the game basically, everything that was at the beginning is just an annoyance and everything at the top is still just way too hard mostly. Seems to be that nothing is in the middle in difficulty. Which of these would help with that? (I know, simplistic and stupid question, but I still want to know)
They did Spore Lord so dirty. You have to defeat arguably the hardest boss in all of Grounded (not counting infused) just to get a mutation that is honestly worse than the Sour mutation
Hey Paraly5er, here's a stupid challenge for you, the painful kind where you'll just wanna smack your head against a wall while ask why, why would they do this to me!: Spears, Black Ant Armor set, Sour Sensation, eat Omelant or Quesadillantlion, no shield, all the healing you can carry. Take on the bosses.
@@paraly5er At least when I use it the buffs show up on the lower left and cycle through. The healing also happens. Test it once more and if Im entirely mistaken theres that but Ive been running that mutation with the bow and hat for the last couple of days and seeing random buffs occur that are not from any other piece of gear.
@@paraly5er Just tested it again and got the attack aria after the first hit. So it does work in solo play without a doubt. One might argue that because they cycle through with every shot its not a very consistent mutation but since all of the effects are pretty powerful Id still argue that this is the most powerful mutation you can use with a bow.
Parry master is very good for the infected broodmother fight. The fight requires constant parrying and the mutation allows you to never run out of stamina. I use it for most fights so I can constantly wallop on enemies.
Gives you a 5% chance to crit with each hit at stage 2. I'd say it's worth if you are running a fast hitting build like a dagger and using bleed and poison to help
Smasher would be very strong as it's attack speed debuff gives you more room to get hits in, BUT it's tied to hammers so yeah. I'd love to see a proper hammer weapon some day so we can actually make use of the smashing weaknesses. Pretty solid tier list but needs an F tier for Sour Sensation and Spore Lord, they are just dreadful lmao
Does waft emitter really give gold cards? I tried it for mosquitos for several hours and didn't get it. Create kill count doesn't increase, so I don't know how many I really killed(200 in stats and several hundreds defending emitter)
@@paraly5er I did earn gold card with waft today. Thank you. I feel that gold cards are very inconsistent. I got it for wasp drone on 2 kill, for sickly roly poly, diving spider, boatman, antlion on several dozens kills, but for bees, tadpoles, larvas, mosquitos on 300+ kills
Huh? The broodmother lair is in the hedge and is always there. To summon the infected broodmother you need to go to a ravine in the haze just west of the haze lab. The lair only opens when you have plugged the haze
@@paraly5er Yeah, when I’m hopeless at blocking, even in my second play through. You need everything that damages her you can just to kill her🤣 So stacking acid and thorns, mint, infection etc is all I got to survive and only use 60 smoothies. Quesadilla T lion and sour sensation 50% reflect thorns. Acid, 10% debuff +45% additional damage. So close to 80% reflect damage.. If my figures are correct. I definitely don’t use it for anything else.
Bardic inspiration is an S for me since my friend loves ranger and it makes killing bosses a breeze especially with the bards Tudor and mixed match armor
I use parry master all the time but its more because i have been constantly practicing perfect blocking without a shield against stuff like the wolf spider but it doesn't just give stamina on a perfect block but also increases the perfect block window enough that it makes a decent difference specifically when early or mid game. While it can be useful late game as you'd have the attacks of what your most likely to fight down. Tho it does help make fighting the black widow easier as you get a slightly bigger window to perfect block
I also think that the spore lord mutation is so bad because you have to get 2 broodmother fangs, one mantis head and a wasp queen head. I can’t even beat the wasp queen. She has way too much health, that I can’t even kill her with a lvl 8 salty widow dagger.
as someone who plays in exclusively woah mode gotta say the summoner build using full broodmother set+widow dager+wittle widowling+fire ant shield(mutations: mom genes, mant, assassin, natural explorer,up to you I usually run coup or meat shield) as woah mode hurts also agree with your tier list here only thing I've disagreed with in your vids is with the mother demon club and the salt morning star disrespect
@@paraly5er i didn't mean you disrespect the mother demon club personally I feel you overrate it a bit for me its an A tier weapon and I'm just high on the salt Morningstar as it's really good for damage on wasps.
41 I believe. Base 5+6 from red and legs and chest +5 from pupa hat + 10 from intern + 15 from hauling hero. I don’t feel like including the workers comp smoothie, most people don’t use it ever
@@paraly5er thanks for telling me I wanna kill the infected brood mother soon and all the others were easy ,ur tips have helped me. I have a very op poison build with the widow dager and brood armour p.s love the content you make it really helps👍
Corporate kickback is obtained very late in the game and only has a 5% proc rate so even against a wolf spider combo it only has around a 20% chance to actually activate. Fresh defence is one of the best mutations by far it protects against gas, sizzle and burn damage. It only costs 10 mint shards to unlock and makes it easier to fight stinkbugs without a gas mask, collect charcoal and fight bombardiers and other acid producing bugs. Parry master just gives stamina every time you parry. Blademaster and cardio fan are both far superior
I can tell you dont think much about weapons and mutations that you do not use when playing. Sharpshooter makes kiting easier because you dont deplete stamina when you kite! Also one thing i wanted to add when i watched your weapon tierlist, you never mentioned range when comparing the mosquito sword vs wolf spider dagger, which is vital in melee weapon comparisons.
The only problem is you put whittle wizard in b tier. You don’t play with staffs but if you did, u will use this and become a god. With lvl Nine staffs and wizard hat u are already better that Harry Potter. Also add lvl nine sleek moth robes and u are a wizard Pete, the boy who shrunk (and wiped out all bugs) . Plz move it to A tier were it deserves to stay. Great vid tho. Also why was spore lord added if it’s gonna be terrible and to get it u have to fight a boss harder then malenia. They gotta buff this in the future
Yeah spore lord deserves to be good, good to know with the staves, just think that the mint effect and sour effect are basically useless so it's only really good for spicy staff 1/3 isn't really a good rate haha
@@paraly5er the mint staff thing is very helpful but sour is bad. It helps with ants And works the best with fire ants because they are weak to mint when they run away they just can’t do anything. The slowness thing also doesn’t slow their attacks so u can perfect block normally. If u use moth armor with it then they all do bleed damage over time not just spicy’s sizzle. Also the spicy buff stacks with bleed.
lil fist may max at 100 stacks but that is still a 200% damage buff. Also if you are perfect blocking everyone stresses then losing stacks to taking damage is not something to consider for this buff. They way you talk about the downside makes it sound like you are assuming you are going to get it. Also the mastery gives you two stacks with every hit helping you build up stacks. Edit: claims lil fist is bad because it resets stacks when you take damage then said the mastery on javelineer is useless if you are good. double standards are double standards
What? The lil fist buff is bad. It doesn't matter how good you get you won't be able to perfect block EVERY attack against enemies. You also fail to mention the stack resets when you leave combat. So it's only usable in boss fights and MIX.Rs. There are attacks in most boss fights that CANNOT BE BLOCKED meaning they will reset you fist stack. Brood + Mantis: Scream. Inf Brood: Booty bomb. This makes fists unusable in almost every situation.
@@paraly5er with out fast you build stacks because of how fast you attack, the fact that it resets after battle is not a problem. This applies with unavailable damage. Your examples only keep it from being the best thing to use. It doesn't make it trash.
They fists are capped at a 100 stack and if you ever get hit, leave combat or switch weapons while using it then the stack resets. Fists are pointless now
Why do you hate hammer as a weapon? i can kill ox beetles fast with ox hammer. also,i always play multiplayer. where parrying is a mess. so i pair my hammer with a fire ant shield. much better than dual handed mintmace.

Seriously amazing content. I’m laughing through the whole video and the Tier lists are very accurate/in depth 🤌
Ayy thanks so much Kai, much appreciated
Im pretty sure bardic inspiration works on summons but i need to do more testing.
Can’t just run in circles against most bosses, will work for mantis though
This tier list helped me pick which mutations I should equip in my whoa mode world
Nice!
Im using hammer against things like assistant manager and if i don't have the element weakness i use it against black ox Beatles and roly poly
Pinch Whacker >>>>>> Insect hammer against ass man. Always carry a weapon from each element later in the game
"In this video I rank every trinket in Grounded 1.2.3"
love this video description
Whoops
Nah not what is says sorry, you lying
“ if you are using a hammer as a weapon, seek mental help “ my man is low key very funny. Keep it up man love the vids.
Much appreciated haha
That barb mutation sounds good but by time you've killed the wasp queen there isnt really much need for it
This will help me! Thank you paraly5er.
I thank you because I did not know about the buffs or debuffs.
No problem! The debuffs are all listed on the wiki too
Amazing video😃
Thanks!
Bardic inspiration works on your summons
FR??????? Ok this mutation sounds dope
I think assassin is s tier, especially when your trying to get a widow dagger early on because if you use a bone, spider fang or even pebblet dagger, that 15 damage a second doesn't have a damage resist from the widow, so you can hit it once and focus on blocking until the bleed rums out
A few enemies do resist the bleed but yeah most don’t do it’s really good
Another well done video good sir - would love to see a video on style/arch types and mutations. if you are a sword and board player then this, if you are a bow player then this, two handed ... staff and the best weapons for the styles.
This is a good idea I like it and I'm sure plenty of people will scream at me in the comments. Only small issue would be different mutations for different situations, like mithrid for spiders and fresh def for sandbox etc.
@@paraly5er I agree, There is prob a core 3/4 out of 5 with flex options depending on what you are doing as you mentioned above.
Random thought you shouldn’t be able to duplicate a boss items but the boss should give you RS so duplicating is more useful
Having repeatable boss quests for raw science would be nice, the quest system as a whole needs a total revamp
The reason why summons aren't as good. It's because if you have a pet they keep trying to attack the pet instead of the enemies
yeah i dont think thats what the majority of people experience... 90% of players never even tame one. summons are "bad" because it takes 3 mutations, a trinket, and the bard's bow to complete the summons build.
i find leaving mant out to be easiest, so i spawn widowlings, spiders, and wasps for DPS
I never bring pets with me, could always turn on pet invincibility to avoid this issue
I’m pretty sure that if your wearing full wasp armour with bardic inspiration, you can summon wasps but that don’t have full wasp health (like the wasp queen wasps), and I’m not sure if you can summon drones, you’ll have to test it
This is caused by apex predator with the bards bow
i think that bardic inspiration can give every buff at a time because when i use it with my friends they have every buff and they have like 6 buffs and i dont know where they come from. so i would put it s because ypou can also buff yourself
Problem is you don't do much damage so the later game bosses that heal will outheal the damage you do and destroy you
@@paraly5er Yeah the regular Broodmother wasn't really a problem, but I still haven't gone after the others yet.
Now you might be thinking that that is useless, but in a battle meat shield is literally a shield for those two other bars if that makes any sense.🥩🛡️
nice haircut
Thanks hahaha was getting too long especially with it being summer
Prolly +dmg candy as well)
That’s another thing a +15 dmg trinket doesn’t mean much on a weapon you swing each 1.5 seconds for 70 damage but it means crap loads if you swing it multiple times a second.
I still love my staves but … if I’m in serious danger it’s rapier or poison build time, if it’s not immune to poison
I realize this would be ridiculous effort, but frankly?
You are THE grounded TH-camr ❤
Appreciate it
I think mantsterious stranger isn’t practical or reliable but it’s really fun, I remember getting two mants in a row against a black ox
Yeah it's not that reliable but the mant can be really strong in certain scenarios
Nice. And I don’t remember many occasions where the effort to obtain the mutation affected your rating. So even better…
True just less effective in survival
This guys is the goat
Nice we love to see it!
blademaster is honestly such a goated mutation. i only recently started using a sword when i decided to try out some other weapon types and mutations post-1.0. the removal of the exhaustion timer is absolutely insane and basically spells out infinite stamina. i used to go all out with a full stamina loadout in attempts to maximize DPS but there is literally no point when you're using blademaster.
pair this with the fact that swords appear to be a very viable choice throughout most stages of the game and how easily obtainable it is, and you wind up with an incredibly solid mutation. if you're willing to use a sword, it is easily better than any stamina alternatives. BLADEMASTER NUMERO UNO!!! 🏆🏆
True it is very good
Will you make a new video about buffed ibm? She is so hard now the second phase is so annoying she keep jumping and screaming her dust is op just she is broken now
Literally recorded an updated guide today, should be out at the weekend
@@paraly5er can't wait for it!
I miss this guy I haven't played grounded for a while
Swordmaster is my favorite, because i find the sword a noble weapon that never lets you down.
Swords are very good
@@paraly5er Also I have a huge creative shooting range on the porch of grounded where I shoot stuffed bugs to practice bows
It seems to me, that since I'm at the end of the game basically, everything that was at the beginning is just an annoyance and everything at the top is still just way too hard mostly. Seems to be that nothing is in the middle in difficulty. Which of these would help with that? (I know, simplistic and stupid question, but I still want to know)
Poison and venom and bleed build, look it up and try it, it's still broken and makes pretty much every single late game enemy a joke to fight
@@maxrumovicz1523 Thanks man, appreciated
Yeah agree with max, go for a dagger with assassin and some crit stuff too
@@paraly5er Cool, got ya, thanks!
Another awesome video keep them coming! All we need is the tier list for the new weapons and armor🙌👌
Yeah I got to test some more of the new stuff out before making it that's why
4:27 i wonder why they ruined it
No clue
They did Spore Lord so dirty. You have to defeat arguably the hardest boss in all of Grounded (not counting infused) just to get a mutation that is honestly worse than the Sour mutation
True
Hey Paraly5er, here's a stupid challenge for you, the painful kind where you'll just wanna smack your head against a wall while ask why, why would they do this to me!:
Spears, Black Ant Armor set, Sour Sensation, eat Omelant or Quesadillantlion, no shield, all the healing you can carry. Take on the bosses.
You mean reflect damage only hahaha, sounds like PAIN
@@paraly5er basically yes but you can attack rather than just roleplay as a pinata lol.

17:22
18:05
Bardic inspiration also affects you, which makes this mutation ridiculous even in solo play.
Wait really? I never got it to work on me but that was in the PTS so maybe they changed it!
The staves are my favorite weapons so far, they can pump out crazy damage if you upgrade and use them in succession
i really really enjoyed the spicy staff
Just be careful blocking attacks without a shield!
So is natural explorer useful in fights at all? I assumed so because the increased speed can make it easier to dodge stuff but I could be wrong
No as natural explorer deactivates as soon as you enter combat, it's only useful for traversing the yard
I play support in my multiplayer words and I think Bardic inspiration is the best mutation for support players in the entire game
Parry master is very good for the infected broodmother fight. The fight requires constant parrying and the mutation allows you to never run out of stamina. I use it for most fights so I can constantly wallop on enemies.
Doesn't parry master need a little buff? Not a buff in its current ability but mabye another ability like a mastery?
But if you are using a toenail scimitar (which I do) then having blademaster means you will never run out of stamina anyways
I was literally just looking at your channel wondering when you were going to post next
Been working on lots of content so expect around 2 vids a week
What does the coup de grass mutation do now? Is it worth it?
Gives you a 5% chance to crit with each hit at stage 2. I'd say it's worth if you are running a fast hitting build like a dagger and using bleed and poison to help
Reliable friend is a must need in coop i seen you out it there
100%
Smasher would be very strong as it's attack speed debuff gives you more room to get hits in, BUT it's tied to hammers so yeah. I'd love to see a proper hammer weapon some day so we can actually make use of the smashing weaknesses.
Pretty solid tier list but needs an F tier for Sour Sensation and Spore Lord, they are just dreadful lmao
Agreed, a 2 handed battle hammer would be amazing
Does waft emitter really give gold cards? I tried it for mosquitos for several hours and didn't get it. Create kill count doesn't increase, so I don't know how many I really killed(200 in stats and several hundreds defending emitter)
Yeah I've gotten plenty. You have to kill them as the player though and loot the bodies too.
If you did a paraly5er video tier list all S+
Not true but appreciate the love haha
Bardic also works in solo too
Very cool, will have to give it a go
Hi paralyser i pulled the haze before fighting the broodmother what can i do now i cant fight the infected broodmother
Huh? The broodmother lair is in the hedge and is always there. To summon the infected broodmother you need to go to a ravine in the haze just west of the haze lab. The lair only opens when you have plugged the haze
@@paraly5er hi i did plug the haze but never fought the brood mother now i cant make the moldy hoagie
@@paraly5er thanks paraly5er i do remember where it is now on the top of the frizbee
I am playing through second time and I am still hopeless perfect blocking. Sour sensation + Quesadiantlion is pretty bloody good against IBM.
There's no way hahaha, 700 smoothies and reflect damage
Does javelineer reflects blocked dmg?
I doubt it otherwise that would be OP, just blocking every attack and winning
@@paraly5er well if you put it that way it makes sense, just thought it would compensate for low spear DMG
Only thing I’d disagree with is meat shield because it can save you from dying in boss fights if ur not the best.. but ye
Would love to see some updated builds!
It ONLY gives stamina when you perfect block. It doesn't affect parry window whatsoever.
W love your videos
W love your comments
How do i level up cardio fan? I thought it was just exhausting yourself over and over again
It is
Your the best grounded youtuber

No disrespect but for hauling hero just use handy gnat
Handy gnat doesn't carry as much as hauling hero and also is only available in custom games
Handy gnat carry’s 25
I thought perry master increased perry window
Nope just gives you stamina for parrying
I also think that the spore lord mutation is so bad because you have to get 2 broodmother fangs, one mantis head and a wasp queen head. I can’t even beat the wasp queen. She has way too much health, that I can’t even kill her with a lvl 8 salty widow dagger.
She is strong tbf, gotta get rid of the drones
as someone who plays in exclusively woah mode gotta say the summoner build using full broodmother set+widow dager+wittle widowling+fire ant shield(mutations: mom genes, mant, assassin, natural explorer,up to you I usually run coup or meat shield) as woah mode hurts
also agree with your tier list here only thing I've disagreed with in your vids is with the mother demon club and the salt morning star disrespect
Disrespect? I love the mother demon club and think the morning star is also a great weapon!
@@paraly5er i didn't mean you disrespect the mother demon club personally I feel you overrate it a bit for me its an A tier weapon and I'm just high on the salt Morningstar as it's really good for damage on wasps.
U should do a vid on all mutations , theres 41 for me
They added more since this. Will do an updated tier list when the next patch releases
Petition for the smasher mutation to be renamed to busting
AYO
I had a 6 month break from the game and it seems they have changed all the good mutations 😂 the new mutations are interesting
Yeah all the weapon mutations changed, some are better like chopper, some are worse like javelineer
They really should’ve kept it to where sharpshooter deals more damage
Yeah it's not very good anymore
Like what are you gonna do with the buff?
whats the strongest/ your favourite build right now?
I've been using widow dagger a lot with a good mix of bleed, poison and crits
Myth idea for the next video: what is the max carrying amount? Since the hauling hero mutation was added it’s bound to be 40+
Currently it is exactly 40 I believe
41 I believe. Base 5+6 from red and legs and chest +5 from pupa hat + 10 from intern + 15 from hauling hero. I don’t feel like including the workers comp smoothie, most people don’t use it ever

@@paraly5er thanks for telling me I wanna kill the infected brood mother soon and all the others were easy ,ur tips have helped me. I have a very op poison build with the widow dager and brood armour p.s love the content you make it really helps👍
here we go again
I’m a veteran and corporate kickback is s tier but fresh defence if absolutely useless also parry master is S tier
Sharpshooter got changed since this vid and is much better now. Also range doesn’t really matter unless you’re using melee against flying creatures
Spore lord💀
💀💀💀

BARDIC INSPARASTOIN IS BROKEN
Chances are kind of low but it affects yourself and is ok
Its sad to see all my effort to do a fist build is now worthless. I wish these nerfs weren't so harsh at all.
Yeah fists went from GOD TIER to complete doo doo garbage
what u mean by not needing extra health and stamina, less health is like suicide
What? Meat shield only gives 50hp. Not having it allows you to get to 205 hp (with molars). 205hp is more than enough to not die.
It helps with ants
And works the best with fire ants because they are weak to mint when they run away they just can’t do anything.
Did they nerfed the fist build further More? Or Is just the 100 cap overall?
They fists are capped at a 100 stack and if you ever get hit, leave combat or switch weapons while using it then the stack resets. Fists are pointless now
@@paraly5er I see. Great! Now the competition between top ladder players Will be healthy and varied once again! Wait....
Bro wtf is the last mutation which dev bothered with these numbers
Yeah it's not good at all, partially my fault for making videos exploiting stacking bonuses like these in the past haha
Who else wishes that there was a salt war hammer instead of the morning Star
It would make the smasher mutation better
Yeah I've mentioned before that some sort of hammers that are 2 handed weapons would be amazing and also make smasher usable
Why do you hate hammer as a weapon? i can kill ox beetles fast with ox hammer. also,i always play multiplayer. where parrying is a mess. so i pair my hammer with a fire ant shield. much better than dual handed mintmace.
It’s just mid tbh other one handed weapons are way better
Just because an enemy is weak to busting doesn't make it a good choice, a salt morning star would kill it way quicker and is still a 1 handed choice
