Let me know where I should go next, or what to try next!
In addition to the Asian-American population in San Gabriel Valley, there is a growing number of people in SoCal who are tired of dealing with the nonsense that is using LAX.
Ontario Airport is an exclusive route for China Airlines and is a great way to get into Los Angeles through the back door.
thank you for your trip report me and my husband will be flying back to Ontario from Tapei in a couple months when we return from Thailand...
My friend who is a frequent flyer to Asia tells me Taiwan's airlines China and EVA have this unspoken contest as to which has the best landings bc they know travelers are loading these contents online.
This landing was one of the best I've seen, not even a bump 👍👍
Great video and thanks for sharing. I was always curious about this routing.
I Have Experience China Airlines Amsterdam-Taipei A350 In Business Class,I Like The Cuisine Aboard.Great Trip Report
Glad I came across your vid for CAL flights to and fro Ontario.
My friend flew out of LAX last month and he almost missed his flight to Taipei, and he left FOUR hours early.
Still it wasn't enuff bc the airport had such heavy construction that many lanes were combined into one, ppl were abandoning their Uber rides to drag their luggage to the terminal.
Ontario offers a good alternative to the LAX Nightmare.
CAL isn't known for their catering so no surprise the food is not a highlight.
But I really want to fly with zero to low stress and not worry if I'm gonna make my flight so Ontario is a nice option.
The cabin looks pretty decent and hopefully I can spend a bit more for cabin upgrade for better seats.
Kinda a shock Ontario doesn't have indoor bridge gate for deplaning.
Thanks for the nicely detailed Vlog
Ontario airport is a much smaller airport than LAX and does not have many international flights, therefore, the Immigration and Customs building is a small building. If Ontario plans to grow its international flights, it will have to build an international terminal with jet bridges.
love the Ontario airport de boarding
Awesome video!
Just finished LAX-TPE - LAX route via STARLUX. They are the best. Although I can’t compare them with SQ yet. Next year I’ll fly SQ SFO-SIN-SFO
You should definitely try out Icelandair since they have positive feedback from aviation enthusiasts
24:09 Everbody Clapping 👏
This is a really interesting flight, great review!
Past Monday, wife and I flew economy for 11 hours on Korean Air B777-300 from Rome Italy over Black Sea north of Istanbul Turkey, Uzbektstan, Kazakhstan, Urumqi Xinjiang, Beijing to Incheon South Korea. Seating was 3-3-3 wide which made the seats wide comfortable. Leg space wrt seat in front was spacious. Got a pillow, blanket, soft slippers, bottle of water, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a headset (not earbuds). Brought a thick neck cushion which I used to sit on to keep my tailbone from aching. What made the flight enjoyable were the pretty flight attendants all about 5 ft 8 in tall. They were friendly, charming, and very helpful. The dinner with hot seaweed soup and breakfast were delicious! Free glass of wine with dinner and coffee with dessert hit the spot. Cookies with coke mid-flight for snack. KAL lounge in Incheon had amazingly delicious food with a Korean touch. Kim chee! Will fly Korean Air again if get the chance.
I'm a Japanese person who loves China Airlines. I use it often. Destinations such as the United States, Canada, Singapore, and the United Kingdom are reached via Taoyuan International Airport. I like it because of the great service.
i think there is nothing to complain about this Ci Economy seats.
Ci have very beautiful cabin interior on their B777-A350-A321...
you should buy Business class for better exeprience. cheers.
lol i did not even know that airport existed. It looks small like the ones in the caribbean. There was be a lot of bags on the baggage belt
Cool 😎
Thanks for sharing the video. Very helpful to see everything inside the plane. What do you do to prepare for such a long flight?
Airport lounge as seen in the video, just have some food and drink, nothing too much more
Thanks for the video. I'm traveling with a family of 6. Do you recommend purchasing seats or will China Airlines seat us together, especially with two minors.
100% recommend everyone sits close to each other in the same row if possible
We're the seats comfy?
Better than Filipino airline and all other us carriers
nice report! have you tried flying with EVA or Starlux?
The last time I tried EVA was 2019, Starlux is on my bucket list
Couple weeks ago I flew LAX-TPE, TPE to BKK and back same route back to Los Angeles on Starlux airlines they were great, why were the people clapping when the plane landed ? Thank you for the Great video.
Great landing is a safe landing. that's why they are clapping
My friend who is a frequent flyer to Asia tells me Taiwan's airlines China and EVA have this unspoken contest as to which has the best landings bc they know travelers are loading these contents online.
This landing was one of the best I've seen, not even a bump 👍👍
After a 10-hour flight, you'd be clapping too!
is it quick to transit in TPE? I have 1.5h to transit in taipei and need to switch terminals
It’s decently fast but not the quickest
Hi great video 👍🏻
Just wanted to know what’s your height, if u dont mind me asking. My hubby is 5’11 and is concerned with seat pitch. We haven’t tried this airlines yet but very much interested as Ontario would be more convenient than LAX. We’ve heard satisfactory reviews from friends that tried.
Thanks and I’ve just subscribed to your channel 😊

that flights looks beautfiul. Did you check in baggage. How was the customer service from one to ten? I took Air China and found a booger on my tray table
Roughly a 7, I didn’t like how on my connection there was no bag transfer service but things also took quite a while during boarding
Did you transfer from terminal 1 to 2 for this flight? Coz I heard that Cebu to Taipei isn't a check through flight to Americas.
T2, Both T1 and T2 in Taipei are connected in Taipei but if you transit through Ontario then you have to recheck bags in Ontario
0:05 where did u Come from b4 TPE-ONT? 😮😮
How much did you pay to fly China airlines to Ontario? I am curious.
I am paying $910 RT on China Airlines from Ontario Ca to Taipei to Bangkok in October 2024.
How many hours did you sleep on the plane?
All right, is this Ontario, California or Toronto Ontario
It's Ontario California. My house is only 20 minutes from this airport and I use China Airlines to fly to Bangkok. LAX is a nightmare to fly out of and I avoid it like the plague. LAX is under construction for the 2028 Summer Olympics in LA. I will fly China Airlines from Ontario to Bangkok again this October. The price difference between LAX and Ontario is only $25! LAX is only $25 cheaper.
Fun fact the two people who named Ontario California are actually from Ontario Canada, they intentionally made two "Ontario,Ca"s
@@kevinp8108when you go to Bangkok from Taipei do switch to another airline or use China air still ?
@@jacktripper9096 - Great question! Normally, you switch to a China Airlines Airbus A330 from Taipei to Bangkok. From Ontario to Taipei, you're on a Boeing 777 or Airbus A350. The layover is only 2 hours.
@@kevinp8108 thanks for your info
Did all the cabin crew wear their tight disposable gloves throughout the flight?
I love china airline❤
20:15 yeah .. why ?! 😢😢
The route is good but the service and the seats are awful. An asain man switched seat to the front row where nobody was seating and the flight attendent told him to go back to his orginal seat or to pay the difference. After the asain guy left, a black guy came up and did the same thing, but those flight attendents didn't have the gut to tell him to go back to his orginal seat; and he laid flat on all four seats during most of the flight.
How do you know the black man did not pay for the upgrade?
@@kevinp8108 The whole front row (have to pay extra) was empty and he set way back before take off...
The video was alright but what kept me from hitting the LIKE icon was that the captions were too fast. Either you just watch the video or read the captions but can’t do both at the same time.
I fly in 8 days LAX to Taipei to CNX. I start out in Kansas City and fly to LAX using Southwest points. Did you pay in advance for your seat assignment? I didn’t and expect to check in at exactly 48 hours from check in and, as I’m by myself, am hoping for either an aisle or window seat. On your recommendation, I’ll skip Wi-Fi. Did you check out the price of ticket beforehand on fights to Ontario instead of LAX?
I’ve flown EVA before and through just about every connection in Asia to Thailand, except South Korea
I paid $30 since I paid cheapest fare. I'd reserve a seat just in case, flights between the West Coast and Taipei are almost always fully booked
is Taipei good with english? I dont speak chinese
I visited Taiwan recently, the big parts like Taipei are pretty English but you can get around fine with google translate
@@TheTripReporter good to know
I wish I could hear his deep gravely voice so bad
Bro didn’t even click on the Amtrak video smh
Taiwan doesn't want to be a part of greater China. But yet Taiwan's flag carrier is called "China Airlines". lol.
