Something I missed for years is the bit where he says "Be these Dwarven lands? Why seem their roads so empty?" It close to outright states that, to him, the idea that any part of the Deep Roads NOT being crowded with people and traffic is utterly unthinkable.
@@spartanq7781 Yeah, it kinda sad me this difference in the games ;3; in the dragon age inquisition he just sames like a random guy evil and annoying who just come to ruin a party and try to destroy the world without reason or motivation 😅 Dragon age 2 is pretty good in others things that the other games don't have, like the well written personality of the characters and the funny moments
He should've stayed like this in Inquisition. More confused, more eloquent and antiquated in his speech. He felt very threatening here, like an ancient evil woken up, instead of the wannabe god in Inquisition.
It's weird how we get more on him here than we do in the entirety of Inquisition. Bioware really dropped the ball on Corypheus I feel with the background he has. He deserved better than to be used as the Conflict killer for the Mages-Templar war.
the idea of a powerful 3rd party manipulating both sides of the mage-templar war has a lot of potential, and the hints of it you see when you explore the hinterlands felt fleshed out and interesting (ie. the carta under corypheus used the conflict and hired mercenaries as a distraction for mining red lyrium). But rather than the inquisitor unraveling more of this conspiracy and realizing someone's been puppeteering both sides, corypheus just shows up, reveals himself as the mastermind, blows up haven, and leaves. Really underwhelming set up for him as a villain

I mean... BioWare literally developed the whole idea of Inquisition together with DA2. We have hints about events of Inquisition already in DA2's base game (like the Well of Sorrows) and Hawke was going to be the Inquisitor, but was changed later because of his lukewarm reception.
Hm, only thing I prefer about Ol´ Cory in Inquisition is his voice, it suits him. However, to be fair, this voice makes him sound more like he really was a magister, a human, so perhaps this is better as well
