he got killed off because Scott fired him 2 weeks before his 18th birthday.. because they didn’t wanted to pay him the adult amount so that’s the reason they killed him off.. he never wanted to leave the show, he would’ve stuck with it if they didn’t care about the adult payment they needed to give him.. it’s horrible because he’s my favorite character.. he got a house near the set and took a gap year from college just to get killed off after all :/ (fucked up reason)

You groom a kid for 8 years to be the “Sole Survivor” then off him. Trying to promote a peaceful end to this war. Hinting at Negan living.. I don’t want to sound dramatic but, I think this was a HUGE mistake for the series and may very well be the beginning of the end. My 2 favs are carol and michonne but, I always thought Rick, Darol, and Carl were untouchable. Rick cuz main character duh, can’t die unless the series is about to end. Darol cuz everyone would rage quit.. And Carl because he’s groomed to take ricks place. Honest I really don’t see a recovery from this. Glenn’s death honest was sad but really proves the point TWD is a savage show. But Carl it’s just stupid and I see this as the beginning of the end

Untouchable should not be a thing with TWD. The entire point of the show is that no one is safe. If certain characters are safe, it sucks. I never worry about Daryl cuz I know he's immortal and that takes away from the experience.

AMC/TWD did him dirty, there is no reason the character should've been killed off.

Morgan saying people can change, the cell being made, Carl’s last words being to save people, and ricks dream with Negan in it. But I think this is a horrible idea. You kill the kid groomed for 8 years to be the future and try to turn the baddest bad guy yet into a good one. TWD just began their demise.

I have to say I wasn't able to watch due to circumstances I was forced to disconnect my cable. The only loss was not being able to watch Walking Dead. After finding out that Carl's gone now. And all this talk of Daryl being next I'm thinking I'm really not going to miss the show a whole lot. Why they would remove Carl I'm at a loss. Watching him grow from a boy into a young man was extremely enjoyable. He felt like family. I was looking forward to watching him grow into an older man. I really don't understand who makes these choices of who stays and goes I've seen lackluster characters excuse me but like that priest who hung on there forever I couldn't understand that one. LOL I found him a bit of a snore. Anyway I'm ranting because curls gone. I only hope he hasn't been overcast and has difficulty moving on to other characters from this and Carl you cut your hair God damn it. LOL last night I do look forward to not thinking of you as Carl. Sickly this changes a lot for people who are into the comics and are fans of the original cast. You can kill off people like Abraham and stuff but when you kill off a OG when he plays a big part of the show is different.
Personally when they killed off Glenn it was proving how savage the show was saying that no one is safe but killing Carl was unnecessary. I think since they went off the original story with the comics so much that if they kept Carl he would replace rick.

This still hurts. Scott Gimple did all of us dirty - but Chandler especially. Carls character in the comics is basically a literary catalyst for the future of mankind. The idea being that Rick heals the world, and Carl gets to live in that better world. The show could have done much better with its characters from season 7 onward.

They fired him the day before his 18th birthday. The only reason Carl was killed off in the show was because AMC didn’t want to give him a single adult actors paycheck. The studios was so fucking stingy that they didn’t want to pay any of their actors more that they killed him off to save money.
How professional of him showing up like that and answering the most difficult questions right after the episode came out. It might be because he just woke up, but his face looks like he's been crying and still sad easily tearing up over the vdo. It is not the vdo, it is because he was already heart broken and ready to cry :(

There are many things that made Carl’s death so insulting one of them was how grimy they did Chandler Riggs They barely gave him any story despite being a main character alive in the comics and a respected major character in the comics (especially during the Negan storyline) and dubbed as The John Connor of The Walking Dead Andrew Lincoln years ago said that if Rick were to be killed off the way he’d want it is for it to be Carl that put him down He can never get that wish of what he felt was best for the character Then by Season 8 they performed a whole character switch as if Season 7 Carl didn’t want All the smoke Like he wasn’t the one who was like y’all got me fucked up and popped off the battle at Alexandria Now don’t get me wrong Carl was also a sympathetic person he was always trying to help people even if it meant going against his father so the Siddiq storyline doesn’t bother me as it’s in character of him But to change him from Mr Knuck If You Buck at the end of Season 7 to We Are The World during Season 8 without any form of transition or development is absolutely ludicrous and absolutely poor storytelling It made no sense And to kill him off the way they did it was disrespectful I get they wanted to do the Anyone can get bit at anytime all it takes is a second shit but it was still trash if you were going to kill don’t give him that basic ass death.
Now onto the controversy of this whole fuckery Now most fans were upset by the killing of Carl Now Chandler was now 18 years old He has just graduated from high school so most fans assumed that he wanted to leave especially since we knew he was headed for college (he was also doing producing music for fun) with the idocity of Carl’s death instead of sending him away for a possible return despite were hurt fans respected Chandlers decision They did a whole big thing on The Talking Dead on his final episode and everything he’s on there talking about him going to college and everything Makes sense He grew up on the show Maybe he wanted his future to be something different Skip to the next day Chandlers pissed off father spills the tea that Chandler didn’t quit he was FIRED Scott Gimple had told Chandler before the new Season that he wanted him for at least 3 more years He agreed to stay on the show chose to attend college in Georgia and even brought a house between the show and and his school so he could be able to do both Scott Gimple knew this and said nothing Chandler had no warning about his death In fact the reason he found out only two episodes before was because Gimple came to the set and told him while they were filming the unknown bite scene and needed him to give off the right expressions for when they showed the flashback reveal So imagine finding out you’re being killed off as you’re filming the scene Imagine after being told you’re being kept made your college decision and noise based on it so you can continue your job only to be fired From my understanding Chandler decided to take a year off before starting college afterwards (I don’t know if he ever went) When fans found out they were pissed Casual viewers probably still don’t know this information So not only did they unnecessarily kill off Carl for (spoilers) it wasn’t even Chandlers decision He wanted to stay on the show planned his whole around it so he was able to do so only to get screwed over A major theory about why was because had now turned 18 and with that and being a main cast member his contract was to be done with a pay increase as he was no longer a minor They simply didn’t want to pay him especially what he deserved so they got rid of him Because they didn’t pay up And honestly you can tell his departure left a mark on not only the show but definitely the actors.

His death will forever make no sense. Especially Carl's motivations for wanting peace with Negan. A few episodes prior he went on a solo mission to kill negan by himself. We never saw him change to a pacifist it was forced.

Frank Darabont called out AMC for it's underpaying actors and crew years ago. Whatever people have to say about those emails he was right. Hell, Andrew Lincoln was already talking about leaving in season 4 if the show was still going. He wanted an out around season 8 or so.

Chandler nailed his final scenes, I predict a great future to this young man whatever he choses to do..hope to see him on screen in whatever projects he picks and if he decides to move on from acting I wish him all the best..whatever thank god it seems he's had a strong family network to keep from the traps of Tinseltown...his fellow actors also seem down to earth...
It's just as bad as if the Harry Potter movie series producers had decided to kill Hagrid at the end of the story.
His dad spoke up about the issue and apparently they promised that he’d stay on the show for another 3 years, so chandler bought an apartment next to TWD studio and everything. So many people don’t know about this and it’s so so sad. Look up “chandler Riggs fired” and you’ll find everything.

he sounds/looks like a real nice kid/man. Stupid of the show to decide to make his character die. Carl was becoming more interesting and growing in a nice way

They were so wrong to kill his Character off......Carl needed to stay and carry on his Dad's Legacy. Just not the same :-(
I feel so old. He was on this show since he was ten years old, now he’s eighteen :’)
But I’m still mad that he just got killed off just like that, I know he has to go to college but damn
