First of all I want to thank you for the knowledge and extremely informative videos! You are an excellent engineer and teacher !I’m working on a Detroit 8V71 and I have really weak seawater discharge. The raw water pump feels warm and the impeller looks normal. The outlet piping from the raw water is warm, the intercoolers are warm and all piping after the intercoolers seem to be heating up. The fuel cooler feels hot, and discharge piping from heat exchangers are hot. Any ideas?
Hello. Thanks for your words. I think this is loss of heat transfer in the coolers due to excessive accumulation of Calcium and white powder in the cooler metal walls. I recommend to flush the path of raw water with fresh water and bleach to remove that isolator
