you have any wisdom to share about this situation? One my "friends", really just someone who's part of a large friend group I'm in, has been "jokingly being annoyed at me" every so often. I'll say some joke and she'll make a face like "really?" but with a sort of smile. It's like she's pretending she's annoyed by it, but she's not actively trying to hide being amused by the joke. It's hard to explain, but it's interesting to me because no one else reacts that way to me, except another friend, where it's just a running joke that he hates being around me due to those jokes.

I'm having this with my friend. We've been non-stop in touch every single day since Jan 1st! We met because we were both on healing journeys after leaving abusive relationships. Yeah it's gonna be hard to tell her. BUT what kind of bestfriend would she be if she didn't accept your feelings. She won't hate you for being honest with her maybe she's having similar feelings too.

I actually just gave my crush a mug I made in ceramics. It was the design she said was her favorite when I showed her the designs of mugs I made for that class. She said it was sweet of me. I tried telling her how I felt but I just couldn’t. She could tell I wanted to tell her something, but I just couldn’t do it. She’s gonna be really busy over the summer, and now that the semester is over I won’t see her till August. I’ve never had any luck with this kind of stuff and I’ve probably just blew my chance with her.

I had a massive crush on my next door neighbor, who was a year older. I was 12 and lasted over two years. We rode the bus together, he’d come to my house to play basketball and we’d go in the car with our older brothers. Playing one on one basketball just the two of us was something out of a movie (what I thought.) I prayed for him to make a move or I’d pray to not be so damn awkward, shy, or nerdy. I wasn’t any more than one big ball of awkwardness, so I never seemed cool enough for him. He was the opposite: outgoing, part of the “in crowd” and had a sassy personality - quick wit, snarky, all of that. I always assumed he thought of me as one giant nerd and I never would have a chance. So I’d continue to come outside and play hoops with him (he did this a LOT) but sometimes I’d be so shy to even go outside and join him. So, I’d spy on him 😂 Anyway, he moved to another state after two and a half years of living next door and I never saw him again. I thought I’d die - I sobbed for an entire evening (the day they moved). I’d love to know how he’s doing…I literally haven’t heard a single word about his life in 30 years.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been working so hard to get over my crush, it’s been 4 months and I still think of hugging him when I feel down. Moving on is SO hard, like when I’m around him I can totally be myself and then when we’re apart I’m just always looking forward to seeing him again. I’m pretty sure he’s already moved on but I haven’t. I wish I could move on. I don’t hate being in love or having a crush on him, but we’re too far apart to ever be together which sucks so bad! trust me we dont move on fast, at all. depends on the person really. Got into an argument with the person i fell for and we didnt talk for ~5 months. granted she and i both arent very social and dont talk in person *much* but it was fun when we did. A few of the adults in the program we were a part of (highschool, aka where i am rn) thought we were together so that was really awkward having to explain that i was, in fact, Not with the person that i want to be with and that it LOOKED like we were. I know some men take longer than that. Honestly, me and my crush also aren’t very social around strangers either, we mainly play with each other online and he developed a crush on me first and then months later I develop a crush on him. Unfortunately he’s flights away from me so I can’t be with him, which sucks because he’s a really nice guy. We still hang out a lot but we’re just friends.

@@scopedin2990 yeah, when I confessed he said he was flattered and said the only thing that was keeping him from being with me was the distance between us. He said he wouldn’t be able to handle being apart. Obviously I understood because I would feel the same way, plus I hear long distance relationships are brutal. Talking through a computer and FaceTiming isn’t nearly the same as being with the person. I respected that and he said that he enjoys my company and wanted to stay friends and if the situation gets better we can try it and if it doesn’t work out he would love to stay as friends. I’m not gonna limit my options to only him though, plus I don’t wanna hang on to a guy I can’t have. Obviously my mind is still hoping that we could try a relationship someday but also I don’t wanna get my hopes up. I got crush on someone I met in game before, an instant attraction you could say. I gotta be their friend and get to know them better is my internal screaming to me. Four years ago met her, after 2yr I confessed I had feelings for her 😂. She didn't refuse or accept them, but acknowledge I had feelings. Not until later told me she like me too, but because of our distance (I'm on the other side of the globe basically) she couldn't/wouldn't want a relationship. Which is understandable, taken into consideration of her reasoning and my own. I kind of have this. This is new to me after being in a toxic relationship with my "friends". I moved to a new school afterwards and i was so nervous. I almost forgot how to communicate with people and i started overthinking everything i do afraid people wouldnt want to talk to me or think im annoying. I would cry everytime i got home wishing i could disappear. But one day i walked into my new classroom and there were so many people and they seemed like they were 2 grades above me so i got more nervous. The teacher stopped the class and was yelling at me for interrupting although she wanted me in this class. Everyone was watching me and i was about to leave until someone in the class spoke up and vouched for me telling the teacher that was rude of her and that there are available seats for me to be in. The teacher kept not disagreeing and then that person ignored and guided me to a seat in the class and even offered me their own seat. I truly was greatful but i couldnt do anything but nod my head and sit in the seat they gave me. I wanted to thank them but i wasnt able to. Instead i found myself looking forward to the class everyday waiting for them to show up and just watch them. It was the nicest thing anyone outside my family has done for me and i just kept quiet. Months later i relaized i might like them. Ive met some more friends now, better firends. And im able to feel comfortable in my new school. I think that nice gesture gave me courage that most people at the school would be friendly too and they were. Its been months and im scared to approach them. Especially since all ive been doing was stare and never saying anything. I probably seem weird-

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been working so hard to get over my crush, it’s been 4 months and I still think of hugging him when I feel down. Moving on is SO hard, like when I’m around him I can totally be myself and then when we’re apart I’m just always looking forward to seeing him again. I’m pretty sure he’s already moved on but I haven’t. I wish I could move on. I don’t hate being in love or having a crush on him, but we’re too far apart to ever be together which sucks so bad! I’m gonna try my absolute hardest and continue to try to move on, for both me and him. Mainly for me because I would be miserable, I wish he lived near me.
trust me we dont move on fast, at all. depends on the person really. Got into an argument with the person i fell for and we didnt talk for ~5 months.
granted she and i both arent very social and dont talk in person *much* but it was fun when we did. Mostly talk over a social media but definitely much more distant than we were.
A few of the adults in the program we were a part of (highschool, aka where i am rn) thought we were together so that was really awkward having to explain that i was, in fact, Not with the person that i want to be with and that it LOOKED like we were. So here i am now trying to get closer again.
Sometimes i find her annoying as hell but i love her so pfft. have to have hate and love for it to be healthy i suppose. just work around the issues.

@@scopedin2990 thanks and no worries, I actually don’t know how long it takes for men to move on. Google said it takes them 1 month to move on while it takes 4 months for a girl to move on. I know some men take longer than that. Honestly, me and my crush also aren’t very social around strangers either, we mainly play with each other online and he developed a crush on me first and then months later I develop a crush on him. Unfortunately he’s flights away from me so I can’t be with him, which sucks because he’s a really nice guy. We still hang out a lot but we’re just friends.

@@scopedin2990 yeah, when I confessed he said he was flattered and said the only thing that was keeping him from being with me was the distance between us. He said he wouldn’t be able to handle being apart. Obviously I understood because I would feel the same way, plus I hear long distance relationships are brutal. Talking through a computer and FaceTiming isn’t nearly the same as being with the person. I respected that and he said that he enjoys my company and wanted to stay friends and if the situation gets better we can try it and if it doesn’t work out he would love to stay as friends. I’m not gonna limit my options to only him though, plus I don’t wanna hang on to a guy I can’t have. Obviously my mind is still hoping that we could try a relationship someday but also I don’t wanna get my hopes up. I wanna explore my options and meet more people instead of clinging and hanging onto a guy that I could possibly be with but the chances are low; and yeah I have 2 females, one of them is my profile picture.
@@PokidotGamerX ahh distance is an understandable issue, and from what i know they are pretty bad if not handled properly. It SUPER sucks that he would be with you if it werent for the distance, but i guess the only thing to do really is to move on at that point, which would be even more difficult in this case specifically. I got crush on someone I met in game before, an instant attraction you could say. I gotta be their friend and get to know them better is my internal screaming to me. Four years ago met her, after 2yr I confessed I had feelings for her 😂. She didn't refuse or accept them, but acknowledge I had feelings. Not until later told me she like me too, but because of our distance (I'm on the other side of the globe basically) she couldn't/wouldn't want a relationship. Which is understandable, taken into consideration of her reasoning and my own. I accept that, I wouldn't want that either, if I can't see myself book a flight ticket in the foreseeable years and met her in person, then I wouldn't want her to wait for me. Financial is a struggle when you're from third world country and the currency different is big. I just let her know that my feelings for her evolved into unconditional love, I wish for her happiness and well being.
BUT THERES A CATCH-

I kind of have this. This is new to me after being in a toxic relationship with my "friends". I moved to a new school afterwards and i was so nervous. I almost forgot how to communicate with people and i started overthinking everything i do afraid people wouldnt want to talk to me or think im annoying. I would cry everytime i got home wishing i could disappear. But one day i walked into my new classroom and there were so many people and they seemed like they were 2 grades above me so i got more nervous. The teacher stopped the class and was yelling at me for interrupting although she wanted me in this class. Everyone was watching me and i was about to leave until someone in the class spoke up and vouched for me telling the teacher that was rude of her and that there are available seats for me to be in. The teacher kept not disagreeing and then that person ignored and guided me to a seat in the class and even offered me their own seat. I truly was greatful but i couldnt do anything but nod my head and sit in the seat they gave me. I wanted to thank them but i wasnt able to. Instead i found myself looking forward to the class everyday waiting for them to show up and just watch them. It was the nicest thing anyone outside my family has done for me and i just kept quiet. Months later i relaized i might like them. Ive met some more friends now, better firends. And im able to feel comfortable in my new school. I think that nice gesture gave me courage that most people at the school would be friendly too and they were. Its been months and im scared to approach them. Especially since all ive been doing was stare and never saying anything. I probably seem weird-
