I have a gym crush for a good 4-5 months now. We’ve had a lot of eye contact, sometimes he comes near the machines Im at when the one he usually goes to is being used. How my bf acted in accordance to these points before we started dating, in case this helps anyone look for real world signs! 1. He’s never been the greatest texter, but he would always make it known he wanted to hang out with me and would try to clear his schedule just to be free on the days I was! 2. He pulled out a lot of silly accents and stupid jokes, and I could tell he was less regulated around me because he was comfortable. 3. My sister pointed out that whenever we were together, he always had to be near me and/or touching me. We would sit next to each other, hug, touch legs, and just generally be near each other (especially in larger groups) almost all the time. 4. We haven’t gotten in many arguments, but when we have he’s always very playful and understanding. We hear each other out, and are comfortable calling the other wrong or changing our opinions. Once we disagreed on whether or not we should get bus tickets for a trip, and we both said to each other “I think you’re being stupid, but I’ll hear you out.” Ultimately, we ended up compromising and took a car instead of the bus, and didn’t get too upset because we knew we both had good intentions. 5. He told me he wasn’t very good at his emotions because he found it hard to believe he could be loved. He said it in a very casual way, just “haha I didn’t think someone could like me because I feel unlovable,” but this is still him opening up. We found common emotional ground, and said I love you even as friends because we knew we could be real with each other. He said I love you first, both before and after dating, and is honest to me when he has conflicts in his social life (ex: he told me about the time some toxic friends dumped him for a rumor that wasn’t true, and I didn’t have to prompt him. He just felt comfortable telling me.).
So what if I like and girl and she likes me back but she says she isn't ready yet. We have gone out on 2 unofficial dates. I've made a few moves, and she let me. We want a third one, but it's all been unofficial, and I wanna know what I should do or even think about this. And if I should ask if we should keep doing this until shes ready? I have a gym crush for a good 4-5 months now. We’ve had a lot of eye contact, sometimes he comes near the machines Im at when the one he usually goes to is being used. He definitely looks over, turns red as a tomato, and quickly turns away when I accidentally catch him looking. There was one instant where I came back from a 10 day trip. He comes him with his twin brother (yes identical twins but you can tell the difference because my crush had a tattoo on his arm and the other doesn’t.) as I finished a set and stood up to breathe, his brother nodded his head my way and my crush immediately whipped his head back and turned red as we made eye contact. I was caught off guard cuz I didn’t know they were even there that day so I turned red and quickly started another set. I personally would like to start off as friends but how do you approach someone at the gym you’ve never spoke to before? What if I’m completely wrong and he wasn’t actually looking at me? Sure I’m crushing on him but I’m very wary with people and would like to get to know them first then dive in head first. (I’ve never dated before, I’ve been in a position of talking to a guy but it never moved on from there especially since he stood me up for a first date. Tho I take the blame for some of the reasons it didn’t work out) idk what to do🥲🥲
He seems very comfortable around me, but he moved away... So i dont know if i still should tell i like him.:/

For starters, they won’t bolt when you’re near them and make eye contact without looking like they’re just watched a horror film. And who knows? If they’re comfortable enough, they might even share their Netflix password.
Some of them do bolt for whatever reason, like if they're shy or something, or if she has a boyfriend, but still looks at you but keeps a distance

How my bf acted in accordance to these points before we started dating, in case this helps anyone look for real world signs!
1. He’s never been the greatest texter, but he would always make it known he wanted to hang out with me and would try to clear his schedule just to be free on the days I was!
2. He pulled out a lot of silly accents and stupid jokes, and I could tell he was less regulated around me because he was comfortable.
3. My sister pointed out that whenever we were together, he always had to be near me and/or touching me. We would sit next to each other, hug, touch legs, and just generally be near each other (especially in larger groups) almost all the time.
4. We haven’t gotten in many arguments, but when we have he’s always very playful and understanding. We hear each other out, and are comfortable calling the other wrong or changing our opinions. Once we disagreed on whether or not we should get bus tickets for a trip, and we both said to each other “I think you’re being stupid, but I’ll hear you out.” Ultimately, we ended up compromising and took a car instead of the bus, and didn’t get too upset because we knew we both had good intentions.
5. He told me he wasn’t very good at his emotions because he found it hard to believe he could be loved. He said it in a very casual way, just “haha I didn’t think someone could like me because I feel unlovable,” but this is still him opening up. We found common emotional ground, and said I love you even as friends because we knew we could be real with each other. He said I love you first, both before and after dating, and is honest to me when he has conflicts in his social life (ex: he told me about the time some toxic friends dumped him for a rumor that wasn’t true, and I didn’t have to prompt him. He just felt comfortable telling me.).
