Tbh, I've been thinking about the same scenario that I've been going through with my friend and potential lover for months since the beginning of 2022. Tho, my guy friend has had his own ideas across about how friends turned lovers can have its effects on one's relationship to develop. He once told me that it could strengthen the bonds between the two that started off as friends in a way that can very meaningful for the two of them.
That's the way I met my wife, everything started with a friendship, we were best friends, hung out, took walks together and talked and laughed a lot. one evening I had the courage to kiss her...on the forehead🤦♂️😅 I was too scated that I might be just a friend so I thought a kiss on the forehead can also be a ,,friends" thing. She replied with a real kiss😊 That was 15 years ago, the love of my life is still my best friend!!

Your 2nd point is very interesting. My good friend suddenly stopped hugging me. He used to embrace me unexpectedly when we went to the club, and a couple times at my place during sleepovers. He kept all the gifts I gave him over the months we knew each other (met in February 2022). I noticed he would get awkward/nervous when I offered to hug. He would say "why are you acting like that?" I thought he hated me or thought I was weird. And it's contradicting because he usually wants me to sit next to him or go with me to the park or lunch. I'm still hoping he opens up to me more in the future. But lately I've opted to just pull back a little bit and play it cool. My friend calls/texts me often and it seems like he wants to be involved in my life. I really care for him and I just want things to unfold naturally with no expectations.

@@userm180 Yes of course. He shows that he loves me through gifts. One time my friend told me he doesn't love easily. He has told me that he thinks I'm cute when we first met. Later on in the friendship I tried finding some answers, but he got quickly defensive and said "love is a strong word". So now I try not to expect his hugs or anything because I don't want it to seem like I "expect too much from him". One thing I know for sure is he's super sentimental. He took a blanket home with him that has my name on it. And more recently gave me amazing gifts for my bday. I'm guessing my friend is waiting for the right moment. We call each other "honey" sometimes. I noticed my friend remembers all the little details about me. Oh yeah... and one time he joked about being my boyfriend. I passed it off because I didn't know if he was being serious. I kind of wish I said "sure, yes" during that. Instead I said "I know you're joking - I view you as a good friend." I think we're both protecting our hearts because love puts you in a vulnerable spot. But for now I'm extremely happy that he views me as a friend. If it feels right to me, then of course I'll take a risk and tell him how I feel. He kind of already showed me what he feels for me, but I think he needs more time.

I have a tip, if your mutual friends start teasing the two of you about liking each other, even if they don't know you do, it's probably a sign there's something between you. I have found that it's alot easier to notice mutual interest from an outside perspective

For some reason i can only fell in love with someone if we are close Friends. I can feel atraction for other people but i just don't feel the same. Saddly i always get in the friendzone with the people i most care about.

She obviously likes you and have feelings, but not enough to make her feel secure about taking another step with you. She's ghosting you emotionally which shows she's not ready and she's not very emotionally smart. Try to reach out and ask her that you just want to be clear about it and that she can be chill about it. But I honestly feel that is better to give an end to it. It's really hard to make the call. I had an experience with a girl. We were really close. We were together during the day and speak only during the afternoon through the night. Some of these apply to me and this one girl I've known for a long time. But haven't seen her or our circle of friends lately. 1. She would find reasons to sit with me or pull me away. As i listened, i noticed that my friend has two of these details, he often avoids talk about love, and he often notices little things about me, but i had asked him out before and he said 🙅♂️ It could be personal preference not to talk about love life. Perfect summary of my situation in terms of having feelings for a friend... Just that in my situation there is no option for a relationship. And I struggle real hard to deal with that. (The jealousy, and all other feelings attached to that predicament) I guess It would be healthy to limit contact or try to meet other people, but the first one hurts because I value the friendship (or mybe it's just my desire to spend more time with the person) and the second one is hard because I never had luck in finding someone.
Can you please do a video on how to recover from emotional trauma? It would help me a ton. I won't go into the nifty gritty, but I have moderate depression and severe anxiety, and I'm also a very emotionally sensitive person. I'm a strong empath. I have a hard time saying no. I'll never get mad or blame someone even if it's their fault. These traits have been used against me, and resulted in a nearly successful suicide attempt about a year ago. I still haven't recovered from it. My medications aren't doing much for me anymore and I don't know how to communicate my feelings with my therapist. It would mean the world. Thank you.

I dated 18 women before I met my wife (of almost 15 years married now😊)... 3 of the 18 women were gold diggers, one other turned out to be a prostitute and suicidal drug junkie (I felt sorry for her but later dumped her when she started scaring me😐)... one of the gold diggers started scheming to "off" my parents... so I would inherit their 'ample assets' I ditched her right away😖... one woman I thought I was in love with and wanted to propose to... had ADHD and was mildly bipolar with lots of personal issues. She needed someone with ALOT of patience... I tried... but she was too far gone and my house of cards collapsed. It became obvious to us both... that I was just "in lust" and not "in love"... that I didn't (and just couldn't) really respect her... so clearly was the wrong person for her. She dumped me and it took me awhile to get over it... but it was definitely the right decision. The rest were a combination of incompatible or just too much into mind games (especially a cute psychology major I briefly dated... loved to 'try out' what she learned in school on me... made me numb so I ditched her🙄 Yes, take your time... I was 33 when I met my wife (29 at the time) and if I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. I'm still as attracted to her today as I was 15 years ago. Her hot, 28 year old half sister has even taken to flirting with me lately (what middle aged guy wouldn't be flattered over that😂) and my main thought on that is... how to let her half sister down 'gently' (if she makes an actual move on me)... you know you married well, when you 'don't want to trade in the old model' (think vintage classic collectable) for that shiny new 'sports car'😂 Just my 2 cents, your life, your adventure... enjoy it! Never regret the courage you have to express your feelings. Some people live a life full of fear and wondering "what if". But you haven't and you should celebrate That!!! Even if the answer is not what you expected! Yes, It was another rejection and you have all the right to feel sad or frustrated. But that doesn't mean things has to be like this always. Maybe you should look up at why are you feeling attracted to people who tend to reject you? Maybe you are a very sensitive person and you're putting your eyes in people who don't value this? Tho, my guy friend has had his own ideas across about how friends turned lovers can have its effects on one's relationship to develop. Your 2nd point is very interesting. My good friend suddenly stopped hugging me. He used to embrace me unexpectedly when we went to the club, and a couple times at my place during sleepovers. He kept all the gifts I gave him over the months we knew each other (met in February 2022). I noticed he would get awkward/nervous when I offered to hug. He would say "why are you acting like that?" I thought he hated me or thought I was weird. And it's contradicting because he usually wants me to sit next to him or go with me to the park or lunch.
I'm still hoping he opens up to me more in the future. But lately I've opted to just pull back a little bit and play it cool. My friend calls/texts me often and it seems like he wants to be involved in my life. I really care for him and I just want things to unfold naturally with no expectations.

@@userm180 Yes of course. He shows that he loves me through gifts. One time my friend told me he doesn't love easily. He has told me that he thinks I'm cute when we first met. Later on in the friendship I tried finding some answers, but he got quickly defensive and said "love is a strong word". So now I try not to expect his hugs or anything because I don't want it to seem like I "expect too much from him".
One thing I know for sure is he's super sentimental. He took a blanket home with him that has my name on it. And more recently gave me amazing gifts for my bday.

She's ghosting you emotionally which shows she's not ready and she's not very emotionally smart. It's really hard to make the call. I had an experience with a girl. We were really close. We were together during the day and speak only during the afternoon through the night. She was one of my best friend in my life and I wanted more. I fell in love with her, so I told her that I have stronger feeling towards her than friendship. She rejected me and not, so slowly this ruined our friendship. We separated not long after I confessed and never saw her again.

My best friend told me she loves me one day ago and I already knew that and could stay calm it was my happiest day :) we are going well for now seeing this video now made me feel happy again
Some of these apply to me and this one girl I've known for a long time. But haven't seen her or our circle of friends lately.
1. She would find reasons to sit with me or pull me away. Even when sitting, I noticed my shoulder rubbing hers or her moving closer.
2. This is something I'd probably do. Just us smiling together for a quick snapshot.
5. Yes, even when we met what feels like so long ago, I still get nervous around her. And she'd tell me it's okay. She was the one to make the first move. But we'd have moments where we bump into each other and just laugh it off. Maybe even mirroring. But there was one where we were that close she thought I tried to kiss her but I flirted a bit thinking she tried to kiss me.
6. I didn't really have bad luck in the love department but rumors about having girlfriends when I didn't. But hoping when I do see her after this long, we become closer and I become less nervous.
Have a girl that likes me at minimum as friends possibly beyond summer break right now tho will try in august and see how it goes but considering my luck is pretty clapped I don’t know how it will go

Also keep in mind that one or two of these behaviors being shown may not mean they like you romantically. As i listened, i noticed that my friend has two of these details, he often avoids talk about love, and he often notices little things about me, but i had asked him out before and he said 🙅♂️
It could be personal preference not to talk about love life. And it could be that you spend enough time together to notice small changes.

I will say though, one time my sister was dead asleep and would not pick up her phone, so I had no ride home from school. I called him after drying my tears and asked if he could come get me. He was already at his house but he drove right back to school to come get me and drop me off at home. But it's not like we hang out all the time. We never hang out after school, and rarely talk outside of class. He has his friend group and I leave him to it, but it's nice to have somebody who isn't as afraid of driving as you are 😁

Perfect summary of my situation in terms of having feelings for a friend... Just that in my situation there is no option for a relationship.
And I struggle real hard to deal with that. (The jealousy, and all other feelings attached to that predicament) I guess It would be healthy to limit contact or try to meet other people, but the first one hurts because I value the friendship (or mybe it's just my desire to spend more time with the person) and the second one is hard because I never had luck in finding someone.
Can you please do a video on how to recover from emotional trauma? It would help me a ton. I won't go into the nifty gritty, but I have moderate depression and severe anxiety, and I'm also a very emotionally sensitive person. I'm a strong empath. I have a hard time saying no. I'll never get mad or blame someone even if it's their fault. These traits have been used against me, and resulted in a nearly successful suicide attempt about a year ago. I still haven't recovered from it. My medications aren't doing much for me anymore and I don't know how to communicate my feelings with my therapist. It would mean the world. Thank you.

I dated 18 women before I met my wife (of almost 15 years married now😊)... 3 of the 18 women were gold diggers, one other turned out to be a prostitute and suicidal drug junkie (I felt sorry for her but later dumped her when she started scaring me😐)... one of the gold diggers started scheming to "off" my parents... so I would inherit their 'ample assets' I ditched her right away😖... one woman I thought I was in love with and wanted to propose to... had ADHD and was mildly bipolar with lots of personal issues. She needed someone with ALOT of patience... I tried... but she was too far gone and my house of cards collapsed. It became obvious to us both... that I was just "in lust" and not "in love"... that I didn't (and just couldn't) really respect her... so clearly was the wrong person for her. She dumped me and it took me awhile to get over it... but it was definitely the right decision.
The rest were a combination of incompatible or just too much into mind games (especially a cute psychology major I briefly dated... loved to 'try out' what she learned in school on me... made me numb so I ditched her🙄
Yes, take your time... I was 33 when I met my wife (29 at the time) and if I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. I'm still as attracted to her today as I was 15 years ago. Her hot, 28 year old half sister has even taken to flirting with me lately (what middle aged guy wouldn't be flattered over that😂) and my main thought on that is... how to let her half sister down 'gently' (if she makes an actual move on me)... you know you married well, when you 'don't want to trade in the old model' (think vintage classic collectable) for that shiny new 'sports car'😂

I've got a friend I've had a crush on for a long time and the more time we talk the more I'm into her. She's awesome. Exactly the quirky goth/metal weirdo horror fiend I've always had a thing for. Super talented. Sweet as can be. But she also isn't over a rough past relationship and I can't bring myself to say anything that might jeopardize the good thing we have. That said, she did seem pretty enthusiastic when I asked if she wanted to check out the new oddity shop downtown when the museum portion opens up next month, so who knows? But it could just be because we're seeing a bunch of cool weird shit. I dunno. Time will tell, I guess. Wish me luck, lads.

Never regret the courage you have to express your feelings. Some people live a life full of fear and wondering "what if". But you haven't and you should celebrate That!!! Even if the answer is not what you expected! Yes, It was another rejection and you have all the right to feel sad or frustrated. But that doesn't mean things has to be like this always. Maybe you should look up at why are you feeling attracted to people who tend to reject you? Maybe you are a very sensitive person and you're putting your eyes in people who don't value this? Try to figure out those similar things of people who rejected you and see if you could give yourself a chance to connect with other kind of people. Hugs!
