What exactly did you mean by you "were brainwashed by western propaganda"? You actually didn´t point out anything so it would be nice if you could explain what you meant. Just because you can have a lovely time in China as a Tourist (or as a local) does not mean everything is fine with Chinas polistics. The fact that China is supporting authoritarian regimes everywhere is not propaganda, it is the reality. Ask people in Venezuela.
singaporean here... love china especially the cuisine part ... been there since 2019... end of dec,i will be goin to xi"an to play around... do look for this thing call 宫宴 aka palace banquet (gong yan)...some sort of fine dining in ancient time theme... u will definitely love the experience.... i tried it in beijing... cost around 500 rmb per pax...literally change my dining experience...
I am originally from India and had some preconceived notions about China before visiting. I had mostly heard negative things about the country and its people. However, my visit to Yangzhou and Shanghai in 2017 completely changed my perspective. China is far ahead of much of the world, almost like they are living in the future. The Chinese people are shy but incredibly helpful. The only challenge I faced was the lack of access to Google and other American-based services. Most of the cities are exceptionally clean, well-organized, and, most importantly, everyone follows the laws set by the authorities. We need to learn so manything from chinese. ENjoy your time there.
A lot of western internet companies such as google refused to follow Chinese regulations and exit Chinese market. I think that it is really good for Chinese people and westerners so that Chinese can enjoy their peaceful life and westerners are protected from being attacked by the angry Chinese for western’s smearing their beloved country in such a bad way.
If you use overseas SIM cards and data roaming service (yes, a little more expensive) then you can access LINE WHATSAPP and GOOGLE line of service but Google Map not as good as the Chinese own versions such as BaiDu Map. Gaode Map....
The infrastructure of China is new and impressive. Almost every tourist falls in love with what they saw in China. If you live there, the story will be different, which is why so many Chinese still try to immigrate other countries legally or illegally no matter whether they are rich or they are poor.
I once met a Canadian aunt on WhatsApp who told me that she went to China to work as a teacher for a month five years ago. It was the most wonderful month of her life because she felt the purest kindness and friendliness.
You're not the first Italian to visit China. Marco Polo beat you by 700 years 😅 But seriously, thanks for another great vlog & the tip on getting alipay.
Today, China is a safe and beautiful place to visit. Most Chinese people are friendly. Going there again in Sep/Oct. I agree with you, don't believe what the mainstream media tells you.
*As recent as a dozen years ago I would’ve accepted whatever I heard from the “western free press” about “north korean/iranian propaganda lies” but today I’d believe anything coming out of North Korea before I’d believe anything coming from the 10,000% lying western “media” trash.*
I am originally from a small city next to Chengdu , now living in Shenzhen .As I am being told all the time that Chengdu is definitely many visitors' favorite ! Enjoy your time there !
I visited China for the first time in 2005 (I travelled by bicycle from Yunnan to Inner Mongolia, came through Chengdu as well) and I was blown away by the friendly, wonderful people, the delicious food and the modern infrastructure. It's a shame, what kind of impression we get here in the west because of the media and it's truly worth, seeing this great country with your own eyes. Thanks for taking us with you! Best wishes from Switzerland
It was the people that changed my mind. I mean the places are great but the people are amazing. They come out to play, are kind and helpful and aren't constantly trying to scam you. I was there for a few years and ended up marrying one - together for 12 years now - mainly in New Zealand but we go back a lot. The Chinese people are a welcome change from the much more reserved Kiwis.

Nice, Gabi! I've been to more than a hundred Chinese cities, towns and villages, but haven't made it yet to Chengdu or Chongqing. You should maybe check that place out next. Bravo for tackling China with social anxiety. I can see you are being rewarded.
Gabbi, I like you and feel a connection with your energy, especially after seeing you in China. You also motivated me to have my first experience in China. 😀

Actually, in China, there is no distinction between high-end and low-end shopping malls. Anyone can go in, and the goods are not expensive. Only luxury goods are expensive. But most Chinese people now shop online, so not many people buy things in shopping malls.

Ciao Gabi, io e la mia compagna ci siamo stati nel 2019, visitando Pechino con il visto per 144 ore e poi continuando il viaggio in Giappone. Hi Gabi, I got to know you through one of the video that I saw in China Douyin app. I am from Singapore by the way. Just to share : I have been to China about 15 years ago to Yun Nan and Fuzhou (visited Lijiang Old Town etc). I was doing my homework searching about Chengdu as I am currently planning to go there in Dec (this year end 2024). Ear picking from what I see in Douyin app is also available in People's Park at probably the 1st teahouse that you did not go in but I am very happy that you shared more infor about the 2nd teahouse in People's Park where its less crowded. Your video covered comprehensively - thank you! I am going to share this video with my family so that they will have an idea of where I will be bringing them to. Good job, Gabi and hope to see more of you in China in the years to come!
I really enjoy your video. its as I am travelling with you. I think more signs with English is definitely needed if tourism is to be promoted. More interaction between nations lead to understanding and harmony.
nice , thx. Chengdu seems more expensive than other cities in China, 15 yuan for coconut juice, and the pork buns, but I guess they are tourist prices. Look forward to your future vids
I am a local in Chengdu, and my home is near Jinli. The price is very normal. If you want cheap food, you can go to the wet market to buy it. The prices at tourist attractions are the same.
You came at one of the most crowded times of the year because Chinese parents are bringing their children to tour around the country during the summer break.
Thank you so much to introduce to us the beauty of china cities and places. However one remark please.. I wish if your camera was directed towards the street scenery to your front instead of your face when riding the bike to let us see the street perspective ahead. And you can always tell us your opinion and comments. But truly very very nice places and views. Thanks again.
i only need 10 more province to say I have been to all the provinces of China. Does China have 23 provinces. I want make a video of my Top 40 cities of China, Chengdu is on the Top 10. I love the Fish pond of the people park.

Coconut grew in Thailand 🇹🇭 tropical country. Never snow ❄️ and export from these country. Chengdu cannot grow coconut. Because city have 4 season. Longer winter.🥶
I lived in Chengdu for 10 years and my apartment was 5 mins walk from the Kuanzhai Alley. I usually went out for running at 11:00 PM and had a glass of beer then went back to sleep. I really enjoyed the time in Chengdu. I know everyone like Shanghai and I myself also spent 6 years in Shanghai but Chengdu is always my Top1❤
The app will tell you where you can park. But for me, I just see where there are other bikes and I just park next to them. It’s very easy and parking are everywhere 😉👍
China has been making remarkable progress in all realm of its development over the last 20 years. I went there in 1997 for the first time and I witnessed the amazing changes of the country, the quality of life, very much improved in people's standard of living and also the people are continuously educated by the government even in social etiquette etc. It is now a super safe country to travel and to live, affordable and with higher quality of life than the western countries. I noticed the people are happy and they enjoy family gathering on the weekends, going out etc... It is super amazing to have made all these achievement to improve the quality of life of its people in such a short time. From extreme poverty to catching up and surpassing the quality of life of the western world. So when my friends still tells me people are oppressed in China and it is a communist country... I wish they would get out from the home and travel a bit more before they buy into the stories what their media sold them...
Firstly both me and my daughter love your videos it is fantastic that you are back on our screen again.i both me and my daughter would like to visit China to see for ourselves you are correct China get lots of Negative media here in the West from all the news outlets which don't know why? I have always been interested in Asia culture so would be great to visit China one day. What is the visa process like? Is it easy to gain a Chinese visitor visa? what does a Chinese visa cost? thank you again for another great vlog Ps both me and my daughter are veggies we worry that there will not be food options or that this is just me overthinking .
Regarding visas, I think you'd better check online, because the situation in each country is different. Regarding vegetarians, China's vegetarian culture is actually better than that in the West. You can check the vegetarian restaurants in local cities when you plan to go to China. Moreover, most restaurants in China will provide certain vegetarian options. As long as you enter the restaurant and tell the waiter or chef that you are a vegetarian, they will give you corresponding suggestions. And if they can't provide it, they will tell you directly. Remember the following Chinese characters, you can print them out or take a photo and save it on your mobile phone, and then show them directly to the restaurant waiter. 我是素食者,有适合我吃的东西吗?(I am a vegetarian, are there any dishes suitable for me?)
What is your opinion about China? let me know in the comments below ;)

I like your presentation here away from the usual politics.👍🏿👏🏿😇❤️
Firstly both me and my daughter love your videos it is fantastic that you are back on our screen again.i both me and my daughter would like to visit China to see for ourselves you are correct China get lots of Negative media here in the West from all the news outlets which don't know why? I have always been interested in Asia culture so would be great to visit China one day. What is the visa process like? Is it easy to gain a Chinese visitor visa? what does a Chinese visa cost? thank you again for another great vlog Ps both me and my daughter are veggies we worry that there will not be food options or that this is just me overthinking .
看你是那个国家 中国去年对54个国家免签了 实在想了解 去当地中国大使馆了解
Thank you 🙏🏻 many countries now can visit China for 14 days without visa. You can check online the requirements based on your nationality
