I feel like this car is perfect for the automation track because no car needs to go faster than it’s top speed and it accelerates to that speed super fast. Come to think of it, it would be really cool if you made a car specifically for the Automation test track.
The body is a shrunken body styled upon the Dome Jiotto Caspita, a Japanese Supercar from the early 90s which was powered by a detuned version of the 3.5L Judd GV V10 (585hp) used briefly in Formula One.
Excuse for being rude but. You're half right about the engine. The Jiotto Caspita only used a Subaru F1 Flat 12, detuned for the road. It never touched the JUDD until its Mark 2 variant at the end of its life.
@@GozuTenno962 Thanks for the extra fact. The Jiotto Caspita with the Judd engine was a unlockable car in Auto Modellista, which is why I knew of that engine.
If only Automation let you build two-stroke engines. A two-stroke 660cc V12 (which could probably easily make at least double the kei car power limits) in a car this small and light would be wicked.
Well... interestingly (I only just learned this the other day) there actually is no "real" power limit on kie cars. They only have basically a gentleman's agreement to keep them at 63hp. There is not actual government mandated law on it. The only laws are on the dimensions for stuff like the engine displacement.
@@MrRadicalMoves I wasn't aware of that. So it's like how Japanese passenger cars used to not have any more than "276" horsepower even though they totally could have more than that (the first vehicle I know of to stop with this was the second gen Acura RL). The only vehicle I know of that actually goes over the 63 horsepower "limit" is the base model Caterham 7, which isn't Japanese but has an 84 horsepower Suzuki kei car engine and is counted as a kei car in Japan.
@@indigomizumi Yup... its exactly like that agreement. It also makes me wonder if some of the kie cars may have jumped over that limit but just advertised their power as 63hp kinda like a lot of the Japanese sports cars of the time jumped over that 276hp limit. I only say that because I own a Honda Beat which... I would bet... makes exactly 63hp. However it is well known that the Suzuki Cappuccino and the AZ-1 are both MUCH faster than the Honda Beat... while still only making 63hp and still weighing roughly the same (I think the Beat is a little heavier but still). Can't help but wonder.
@@stanb1455 That's the reported power. I have seen Capps get up into the 80hp's on the dyno in completely stock trim... so I don't know if they really stuck to that 63hp agreement.
This would lowkey make more sense if the engine was based on two 600cc sport bike inline 4's as the basis for a Flatplane V8, and transversely mounted, too.
Maaaan, I got a feeling that the engine is much louder in the game than it is on TH-cam. I turn up the volume just to hear it but then your commentary feels like screaming lol.
so you made a miata? -kei car -below 100hp -under 1000kg -90s car -japanese -fun all these similarities, and yet you still dont say its a miata on steroids.
a V6 will net you 15 more newton meters... you added a good 40-80 lbs that werent needed. also yes i can build a 5-6 second 64hp car... you just gotta find a body that allows it. 315kgs lets you do sub 5's 360 lets you do sub 6's... and for something this silly, a carbon tub was already feasible in the 90's. it was used in some very, very exotic cars. and a 4+ cylinder 660cc 2 seater definitively fits in that box, because even toyota did not try. for the weight, that can be reached with the vamos body, for example. I'm curious if a il3 turbo can be tuned for maximum powerband, because this game becomes a bear when you've set a max power limit (no power limiter/restrictor is available) and it's also pretty tough to bring the torque all the way to the redline without having a torqueless wonder. as is, my engine makes 80% peak torque (~50 out of 68nm) from idle to 9 grand then it falls down.
Heh when I clicked on the video there was 454 views, this is a big block video featuring a micro block supercar lol The funny thing with making a low horsepower car go fast is that, other than weight, the way to make it go fast is rev it to hell and back and make the torque curve be as high as it can be early on and fall off to limit the power to the 63hp limit, then make the gear ratios steeper since there's more revs going into the gearbox. You kinda did that here actually, that torque curve was quite flat and it shows what with the wheelie XD Only way I can think of that might make it a bit faster is VVL for low end torque, that would allow a 6th gear methinks and more top speed, but that would add weight so it might just even out by ending up slower in the corners, that's the old muscle car vs sports car battle since time immemorial :P
So if you look it up k cars had "63 hp" the torque numbers went up throughout the years. And if you look how horsepower is calculated it is torque by rpm. The "63 hp" was a gentleman agreement amongst Japanese manufacturers. Not a law like most people think.
That is one of the fastest lap time or I've ever seen are the best handling cars. You can bump that up about 25 mph when it pops out that car be bad a$$
All thought not a supercar but, many old racecars from the 60s and 70s where absurdly light, like a prototype Porsche from the late 60s that weighs less than 900 lbs with over 200 bhp.
no worries if you can run a virtual computer, Linux is capable. I'm not too knowledgeable about required specs, difficulty, but I'd say to look into it.

Issue is acceleration. A car with a good launch, and acceleration would work well on the automation test track.
When I heard the Autozam AZ1 I got the chills, i love that car, sadly either they're too expensive on this side of the globe or are in Japan
Goofy ahh supercar

1:45 its based on the Jiotto Caspita, a obscure japanese supercar from the 90s thats also powered by a Judd V10 engine
Keep to the 660cc capacity rule but see how much power you can get out of it just for fun 👍

I can't imagine what this car would do with a more regular, expected 100-150hp
We need a no rule version like 100 how max or something love your video btw
Great vid as always!
I appreciate you
Low key actually would drive that, looks like fun 😂
This car actually charmed me, I think I could be one of these 3 legendary owners, rocking this around the wangan at 3am

I think the body style is based off of the mosler, but it could be based on a lotus or litterally anything else so im not 100 percent sure
Gordon Murray and Colin Chapman would be very proud of you
I don't know why but the car just looks like a fancy shoe and I can't get it out of my mind.

it would be fufnny if it finishes as exotic, light, cheap, cars
if used a turbo v6 with like 500-600 hp and some downforce, itll blast the competition
